The Controversial Book That Inspired A Brutal Cartel

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Nazario Moreno was a stressed out trafficker. It was the summer of 2004 and Nazario was a fugitive. Months earlier a Texas grand jury had indicted his organization in an ongoing smuggling operation. While on the run he continued to distribute large amounts of product for his boss Carlos Rosales Mendoza…

    1. @ Holden D. Cash . ZeroZeroZero was good, where that quote of his came from, but he's too in love with the glamour of it all, and plays to his young audience with cartoons . His account of Arturos death( the last true honorouble boss, he suggests) - ''He Let that AK Spray!''- was like a parody of dumb street boys who have Scarface posters on their wall. He's got a cool voice though, and some of his videos are funny.

    1. No country on this world on level of drug consumption like the US.

    2. I agree no criminal organizations in the world are as disorganized and plain low level as the mexican disorganized criminal groups. And no country in the world lets itself get fucked by a bunch of savages like mexico.

    4. 4:11 no other country has gringos capturing their top drug lords. They are scared to go to Russia or China because they will get prison time for not minding their business.

    5. 11:21 correction my bad.. your incorrect.

    6. That doesn't make any sense. You are comparing one organisation (''no single organisation...'') to more than a hundred gangs that have nothing to do with each other. You mean if you added up all organised crime groups in Mexico and forced them into a massive army they would beat.... who? Al Pacino running Cosa Nostra? Takeshi Kitano running all the Yakuza groups of old?

  4. I saw an interview with Kazquillo and apparently he has been contacted by prominent individuals to write about their life and organization(s) with a positive skewed bend. Making them appear larger than life and the organization as the one with ' good intentions/hero's of the community' all the while they pillage and rape- but this propaganda 101 requests is to be expected
He refuses these requests delicately and has thus far been able to maintain anonymity

  5. I am going to read this book even though I’m against everything that organized religion stands for. Even though, I’m a very spiritual person.

  6. El mas Loco made the zetas tremble!
LFM was getting so strong that chapo paid Calderon to take that cartel down. I remember El michoacanazo. There's an example if a president wants to get rid of a cartel they can. Lfm was ran out of michoacan and some stood behind forming Los templarios. The government was happy it slowed them down and caught their leaders.
That's how I know grandma AMLO is a sell out coward when it came to chapitos and sinaloa.

    2. It's true but AMLO is a sin huevos acting presidente. He receives his cut from his(MORENA) gobernadores from the dominant group in each state and where he doesn't, if the group is strong enough, he won't outright combat them as he plans to remain in México. Don't want to get killed after stealing so much money ya understand...

    3. 4:26 I'm not a pendejo who believes they are any different . They are all the same principles, pan , Morena... sellouts

    5. Just how Vincente Fox declared war on the Arellano Felix as soon as he took office in 2000. By 2002 the top brass of the almighty Tijuana Cartel was decimated.

    11. 3:25 you have good 👍 points about lazy grampa, unfortunately thier are cheerleaders that give disinformation and try to belittle you, when to voice the truth.

    12. It’s so funny, when losers make up excuses why the cartel they cheer for isn’t number one. I guess I can call the nba and cry to them and say they should contract me and cry to them that the only reason Shaq got to be a pro is because he is 7.1 and that is not fair. Well guess what who told you cartel people where honest and fair, they are vicious and will you anything in their power to control. Like all you cry babies saying cartel people snitch, what do you think people like that would do? At the end it’s every one for them self.

    13. 12:06 I'm not complaining of cdsnitches being the top cartel for decades. I'm making an example of AMLO being a sell out. I can care less of any cartel being number one. They are all pusi3$i n real life anyway. Fu(k cartels , fu(k groupies abd fu(k AMLO!!!!!!!!!!

    14. @3.25 Sorry dude, but that comment makes no sense. Your account of LFM vs CDS is muddled, but more importantly, are you saying that because a man who sent in the army (Calderon) as a government strategy of declaring war on the cartels, a policy that set the country on fire and managed to almost defeat one cartel while enabling others at hideous cost, that means that a different President who SAW the cost (his country on fire and the cartels scattered and uncontrollable) must be taking bribes because he is choosing a policy that won't see whole cities turning into war zones? THAT is how you know?
