Navy Seizes More Than Two Tons Of Cocaine On Colima's Coasts

 "Ivan" for Borderland Beat

The crew members of both vessels were handed over to the State Attorney General's Office.

Colima, COL (OEM- Informex) - Approximately 2,234 kilograms of presumed cocaine, as well as two small boats with two and three outboard motors, seized and seven people detained, was the result of an operation carried out by the Mexican Navy in Manzanillo.

The work carried out by sailors belonging to the Tenth Regional Naval Station based in Manzanillo, in coordination with the Pacific Naval Force, resulted in the arrest of the alleged lawbreakers off the coast of Colima.

These actions were carried out during two different events as a result of field and cabinet work, through which it became known of vessels that were probably carrying out the transfer of illicit cargo, so various units of this Institution were deployed by sea, air and land to provide timely follow-up to these vessels.

In the first event, a Mexican Navy vessel located a Go Fast type vessel approximately 335 kilometers west of the coast of Manzanillo with three people on board, 40 packages with suspected cocaine-like drugs and two outboard motors.

In the second action, personnel from the Naval Sector of Socorro Island, secured another vessel with three outboard motors approximately 101 kilometers southeast of Socorro Island, in which three packages were found with suspected cocaine-like drugs and four crew members on board.

The presumed drug weighed approximately 2,234 kilograms.
It should be noted that the presumed drug from both vessels weighed approximately 2,234 kilograms, and the packages were found wet when weighed by the corresponding authorities.

The crew members of both vessels, who were read their human rights, as well as the alleged illicit cargo, boats, engines and other effects, were handed over to the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of that State, for the integration of the corresponding investigation folder.

The Mexican Navy highlighted that the seizure produced a significant economic impact on the financial structure of organized crime.

That's an older version of my map. Here's the latest article and map I did on Manzanillo.

It's very hot right now, heavily contested. Neither side owns it as evidence by the signs. But in general the eastern region around the city is CJNG, the western region is CDS.

Look up Mexico History. You will find out Mexico does not believe in the death penalty.

    3. 2:03 secretarios public security of State of Veracruz arturo bermudez Zurita and el Diablo de Nayarit believe on the death penalty to steal land and ransom, bermudez even had crocodiles in his academy of state police and used it like argentinian junta used the school of mechanics of the armada, the mexican melitary and polesia federal believe in La Ley Fuga because total power corrupts totally and the government believes their crimes must be covered up, following the example of the US in keeping the vicious circle of impunity intact.
