Guillermo León Acevedo, better known as 'Memo Fantasma', goes to precautionary measures for some of his real estate, which is transferred to the Fund for the Reparation of Victims and is valued at the moment at $9 billion Colombian pesos between apartments in Bogotá and Medellín.
The Office of the Attorney General of the Nation informed public opinion about the request of a prosecutor attached to the Group for the Persecution of Assets of the Directorate of Transitional Justice, the Justice and Peace Guarantees Control Chamber of the Superior Court of Bucaramanga, to impose measures precautionary measures to the assets of the person investigated for links with the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia.

“At the request of a Prosecutor assigned to the Group for the Persecution of Assets of the Directorate of Transitional Justice, the Justice and Peace Guarantees Control Chamber of the Superior Court of Bucaramanga imposed precautionary measures on nine assets valued at $9,818,840,000, which make part of the estate of Guillermo León Acevedo, alias Memo Fantasma, and the Central Bolívar Bloc of the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (AUC).”
Acevedo was released a few weeks ago due to the expiration of terms in his process, had an apartment valued at more than 5 billion pesos in the distinguished Chicó neighborhood, north of the Colombian capital, and another for just over 3 billion in Los Rosales, also in Bogotá.
As reported by the investigative entity: "As a result of the investigative work carried out by the Directorate of Transitional Justice, it was established that these properties are in the name of companies constituted by León Acevedo and some of his relatives."
The Victims' Reparation Fund is now in charge of the administration of these assets, providing due justice to the victims of the AUC.
As for the legal case for which Guillermo León Acevedo remained in the La Modelo Prison in Bogotá, it will continue its course next October, after he was recently released given that the hearings were postponed several times, according to reports. recently met.
Acevedo is also investigated for laundering assets valued at more than $54 billion Colombian pesos (over $12 million USD), for entering more than $5 billion pesos into his accounts without any justification, for which his mother and grandmother were even called: Margoth de Jesús Giraldo Ramírez and María Enriqueta Ramírez, to give statements regarding what was considered the creation of companies to launder assets.

They stole the show, but the AUC never were about a thing but crimes of state and ro bed too many people of their lives, money, property and drugs, starting with Pablo Escobar's everything, that Alvaro Uribe named the AUC after his own name initials, fittingly, he created them too.

The money is put in a trust fund for the purpose of it's victims. Yes Queso is right, operating costs, curupt officials while in office making themselves, hefty checks. Then later they will say it was used up on the victims.
