In Hermosillo, Sonora, Army personnel secured 315 kilograms of methamphetamine at the "Querobabi" military post, hidden in a shipment of suspected fertilizer.

The Ministry of National Defense (Sedena) announced in a press release that the drug, coming from Los Mochis, Sinaloa, was being transported in a tractor-trailer loaded with packages of fertilizer destined for the city of Tijuana, Baja California.

Through the tracking carried out, the military implemented a ground interception operation on the identified route of trans shipment, forcing the driver of the tractor-trailer to go to the military post where he was checked with gamma rays and then channeled to the unloading area for a more thorough review.

After the inspection, it was confirmed that the truck was carrying 1,103 packages presumably containing fertilizer, of which 24 of them yielded 315 kilograms of the drug.

The seized goods were handed over to the competent authorities for expert confirmation of the type and quantity of the drug.
