Zacatecas: The Cartel Jalisco Gunmen Destroy Security Cameras

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Gunmen in vehicles travel the roads in a caravan.

This is how they knock down the C5 cameras so they don't record them as they pass.

They shoot at them, they smash them...

They do this without the National Guard, Sedena, Semar, or any authority appearing.

Video translation is as follows:

I ask you to observe the impunity with which the members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel in Zacatecas behave. They have reached such a degree of criminality that they knock down the state's C5 cameras.

These look like images taken from a movie. The truth is that these images show what is lived day after day in Zacatecas. This is how the passage of the cells of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel through the roads of the state is seen from security cameras.

Other cameras see the convoy go by at full speed. These criminals already know they are being watched and they don't hesitate. That is why a sixth truck is alerted by the presence of electronic eyes and is ordered to eliminate them.

The offroad truck with men aboard stops, gets out, and backs up. In the background a gunman dressed in black points at the camera. He even appears to point with his gun. He doesn't shoot and retrieves a more accurate one.

The other gunmen watch the road. Nobody bothers them. There is no authority nearby. From the truck the subject takes out a lighter rifle. He wields it, walks like this towards the camera and takes aim at it. But this hitman only demonstrates his lack of training and his inexperience handling weapons. He can not chamber a round or fire his rifle.

Therefore, it is better to wait for nightfall and return with support. Two trucks arrive at the place where the cameras are located. They are at least 25 men. Since they have no sense with weapons, they try another method. The assassins place a ladder. They have it there with them.

A truck is moved to use as a base. A third truck arrives in support of the maneuvers. This hitman seems to be playing a child’s game climbing a pole. Take a look as he climbs to the top to disable the camera. There you can see his face. He pulls and pulls and pulls. He finally disables it. The same operation would be repeated at other points where surveillance cameras are located.

From the monitoring center only the deployment of the gunmen is recorded. These criminals would achieve their objective in just a few minutes and thus disable the surveillance of the authorities. The military never appeared in the area. Nor Marines, State Police, much less the Municipal agents.

This is no man's land. The sad reality is that this is a part of what citizens live through day after day in Zacatecas.

    1. Truth to that. Imagine if it was a confrontation! This fool would be dead. Aren't these dudes supposed to be tier 1 operators? If they are either they're done or they put no stock in really trying to win Zacatecas.
