Armed Group Attacks A Person Inside His Home In Villa Bonita, Culiacán

 "Ivan" for Borderland Beat

A gunfight with high-powered weapons between armed groups recorded tonight in the Villa Bonita subdivision, left at least one person injured by firearm shots and the mobilization of the police forces of the three levels of government.

At the scene of the scuffle there is a person injured by gunshots, and she was identified as a resident of the house where the attack took place. Police reports indicate that an armed group arrived aboard several vehicles and broke into the building where the victim was and tried to take him away by force, but he defended himself with a long weapon, repelling the attack.

The confrontation lasted for around 25 minutes.

He was finally injured inside the house, but managed to get out of the building and get safe between the roofs of the homes until he hid two streets away from where the attack took place.

Relatives of the victim rescued him and transferred him to receive medical attention. The gunmen fired at the front of the house, causing severe damage, leaving it like a drain, where there was also a white Volkswagen Jetta with Durango plates, parked in the garage.

Around 200 shell casings from weapons known as “Cuerno de Chivo” and R15 were left at the site.

    1. He fought back. Luck had nothing to do with it. I've never understood why they all don't fight back. That's their best bet. If they take them they're more then likely dead, so they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
