"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Police mobilization was generated by land and air

Police and military movements were registered in the area of the events.

In the Ejidal neighborhood, a young man of approximately 23 years of age was shot to death and his body was found on the public highway next to a cardboard with an alleged message alluding to criminal groups, which generated mobilization of the security forces by land and air.

It was around 9:30 p.m. when several reports to the 911 emergency system alerted the authorities to gunshots near the corner of Cerro Prieto and Ejido de la Cruz streets, near the Adolfo López Mateos elementary school, in the aforementioned colony.

Units of the Municipal Police moved to the site, whose elements located the body of the young man on the sidewalk, leaning against the wall of a house. At first glance he had blood stains and gunshot wounds.

After a review by paramedics from the Secretariat of Citizen Security, it was determined that he no longer had vital signs, the entire area was cordoned off for further processing and investigation.

According to witnesses, the young man wore a gray jacket and blue jeans, and next to his body was a green card with an alleged message alluding to organized crime groups.

While the helicopter was flying over the area, experts from the Regional Prosecutor's Office worked at the scene of the events for about an hour. Afterwards the Forensic Medical Service came to lift the body and transfer it to its facilities in order to perform a legal autopsy. .
