With The 4T, Mexico Has A Government That Doesn’t Spy: Mario Delgado

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

The President of Morena accuses the governments of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) and the National Action Party (PAN) political parties of persecuting, disappearing and torturing those who thought differently

The national president of National Regeneration Movement Party (Morena), Mario Delgado, indicated that the Pegasus project uncovers the authoritarian spirit of the federal administrations of the past and assured that, with the arrival of the so-called Fourth Transformation, Mexico has a government that no longer spies.

The Morena leader criticized the use of public resources to spy on critics and political opponents, after it was revealed that at least 15 thousand telephone numbers in Mexico, including 50 relatives and personalities close to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), were Pegasus spyware targets between 2016 and 2017.

Delgado assured that with the arrival of the Fourth Transformation to power, authoritarian, undemocratic governments and violators of human rights were ended, because the factious use of public resources was cut off and these old practices were banished.

"Today, for the first time, we have a government of convictions and principles that always put those who need it most before it.

"This Fourth Transformation seeks that we live in an authentic democracy, where the people rule, where journalists, businessmen, intellectuals and the Opposition, as well as all Mexicans can express themselves with total freedom, without fear of political reprisals," he said.

He accused the governments of the PRI and the PAN political parties of persecuting, disappearing and torturing those who thought differently. However, he affirmed that, now, thanks to the peaceful revolution at the polls, Mexico has a government that doesn’t spy, that doesn’t persecute and that doesn’t torture.

"In Morena and in the Fourth Transformation we have the firm commitment to enforce freedoms, to seek social justice and end impunity. We work to build a Country where human rights are fully respected, where violence is ended and peace is built, "he reiterated.

  1. Don't believe the Hype! As if Mexico's statements hold any truths. World leaders & countries know how corrupt Mexico is.
It's unfortunate that spying on selected individuals is a norm for many agencies for political & vested interests.

  3. Isreal is currently working on damage control from its Pegasus Spyware. Reports by human rights groups are becoming a diplomatic issue for them.
Interesting how assistance from US allies are illegally being allocated.
    Peace to all on BB.

  4. What? No more mission impossible? Then how is the government going to know what criminals are doing?
