José Antonio Yépez Ortiz, “El Marro”, is linked to fuel theft, drug trafficking, extortion and kidnapping. He is designated as the leader of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel. Today after a fierce confrontation in Guanajuato, rumors spread he El Marro was captured…..

Mexico City, March 10 (SinEmbargo) José Antonio Yépez Ortiz, alias “El Marro”, huachicolero leader of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel (CSRL), was not detained today, Guanajuato authorities confirmed.

Violent events unleashed the rumor that Jose Yépez Ortiz had been arrested. It was false.

During the afternoon of this Tuesday, March 10, burning vehicles and tires were used to block roads near the municipalities of Celaya, Villagrán, Juventino Rosas, Apaseo el Alto, Salvatierra, Comonfort and Salamanca.
In addition, there was an intense mobilization of Public Security groups, who reportedly responded to a confrontation between agents of the State Attorney General's Office and armed men, according to local media.

Luis Ernesto Ayala Torres, head of the Guanajuato Government Secretariat, wrote on his Twitter account that “Reports of the arrest of the leader of a criminal group in Guanajuato is circulating on social networks, this information is false, we are still working on an operation of the Joint Strategy for Guanajuato ”.

Violence in Guanajuato has exploded in recent years to reach historical figures, largely caused by fuel theft, a crime that has also been on the rise.

There are several “huachicol” gangs that operate in Guanajuato, but two individuals have carried out the theft of fuel: the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) and the Santa Rosa de Lima cartel.

On the one hand, those from Jalisco led by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, “El Mencho”, the most wanted drug lord in the world; on the other, those from Guanajuato headed by José Antonio Yépez Ortiz, “El Marro”, who continues to be the most wanted “huachicolero” in the country.

The first this war date back to 2017, when the CJNG voraciously ventured into fuel theft in Guanajuato.

The father of "Marro" arrested

On March 6, the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection Alfonso Durazo confirmed that José Antonio “El Marro” Yépez's father was detained while in a stolen car.

On February 6, Karina “N”, sentimental partner of alias “El Marro”, was released by a federal judge along with three other people.

  1. The cartel is either throwing a fit because marros father was captured or marro actually did get captured and the government is lying and trying to reduce media attention until they get him out of the state.

    1. IMO it is about his father being captured, the threatening displays of violence are most likely a warning. He wants his father released as his mistress was.

    2. Chivis, el Marrano has a lot of the locals in Celaya, Villagran, Los Apaseos and other surrounding municipalities paid off. He gives the word and these people drive stolen cars or semis onto highways as blockades. They set them on fire along with piles of debris & tires. The government must not give in to releasing his father. I think if he starts to kill innocent people the "pueblo" will turn on him and release his whereabouts.

    4. 6:53 fack el Menso, but stick it to El Marrano.
Now we can get down to justice:
The huachicol stealing business is not the problem right now, the problemo is governor Sinhué and his procurador, guanajuato state's attorney PGJ zamarripa who has ten years under his belt and eight or 9 more to go and are DEMANDING MORE MONEY FRON AMLO'S FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO STEAL...
I mean, "to privatize", because they are not communist or socialist, y'now?
Governors with unsurmountable crime problems are behind those crimes like Riberto Sandoval and Edgar Veytia in Nayarit, Roberto borge and the duarte and bermudez, Padres, jesus alberto capella ibarra and graco ramirez,

  3. Marro has his days counted but before they get him he should take out as many cjng members they can he put up a good fight for Santa Rosa being a smaller group and the government mostly applying pressure on them and getting marros people the most it would be different if they had the same treatment that cjng has like come on are they serious they have been going after Marro and his group hard back to back and he is only a local treat. Then Mencho and cjng is supposedly the most dangerous thing that has happened to the universe “payasos”you would think that they would be putting the same or more pressure going after that group and mencho that is dangerous for all Mexico then a person that is not
