Juárez: "La Linea" and "Mexicles" alliance to "cleanse the plaza" results in 5 murders a day

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat  Reforma

An alliance between 'La Linea' and  'Los Mexicles' formed to cleanse the plaza

Violence is unleashed in this city.

According to data from the Chihuahua Prosecutor's Office, from January to November of this year, 1,402 violent homicides occurred in Ciudad Juarez, figures that exceed those reported throughout 2018 and 2017.

In the midst of a wave of shootings, narcoblocks with burning of vehicles, calcined bodies, bomb threats and even shooting at local facilities of the Chihuahuan Government, November became one of the most violent months on this border, with 140 homicides, an average of five a day.

In three days, from November 4 to 6, the toll was 22 people killed, six of them burned, in addition to 15 vehicles burned -10 trucks and 5 private cars- in different parts of the city.

In those events, a truck carrying personnel from a maquiladora was set on fire with people inside. One employee registered second-degree burns and died on November 25, after being hospitalized.

The State Attorney General, César Peniche, said that 70 percent of homicides in Ciudad Juarez are the result of the dispute over spaces for the sale of drugs.

He explained that they are investigating a possible alliance between the criminal groups "Los Mexicles" and "La Línea".

"The conditions that generated the rebound in the number of homicides are within the framework of an alleged alliance that could have had the people of 'La Linea' with 'Los Mexicles', and that is what motivated that 'Los Mexicles', by instruction of 'La Linea', they will enter for a kind of “clean”, "he said in an interview.

"That is, to eliminate rivals in the streets for the sale of drug trafficking, and that is what would explain why the increase in the number of homicides," he said.

Although Ciudad Juárez closed November as one of the most violent months, it is not the highest figure of the year, but the most violent for the way they occurred.

The Prosecutor says, homicides with these characteristics will continue.

"What we see right now is that the conditions have not changed in terms of that logic of that alliance of ‘La Linea” and 'Mexicles', and of course we assume that this security strategy of eliminating its rivals, it is a possibility that the violence will continue."

Peniche explained that a new group was not formed, and that each one retains its own identity.

"They are simply agreements that they reach to control and sell the drug of any of these groups and, of course, then eliminate competitors."

According to the Prosecutor, this alliance has generated confrontations between "Los Mexicles".

"Not everyone agrees to work with ‘La Línea'. So, that has been part of the confrontation and contributing to the number of homicides there have been. "

The "Mexicles" are identified as the armed arm of the Sinaloa Cartel and "La Linea" of the Juarez Cartel.

  1. And amlo wants no us help to suppress the narcos. The rule of law means nothing in mexico. 30,000+ murders per year and amlo has cliches, platitudes and condescends to address the mexican press. You can be sure he is filling his bank account.

  2. Why is it that mexicles are the ones being caught and not linieros? Seems Mexicles are the puppets just Like how Aztecas were

    1. Exactly, it's not fair to compare them saying that they are both armed wings. La Linea is very much part of police force in Juarez, ministeriales for examples. They started out as an armed wing formed by retired police, wouldn't be long before active police joined. Mexicles are a street gang/meth heads. All you hear about in Juarez is La Linea or Linieros, Juarez cartels is rarely brought up.

  3. It's insane how these people do business. They go in and "clean" (Kill all the existing dealers) then post up their own dealers. The next 'cartel' comes through and "cleans" all of those dealers and the cycle starts all over again. Crazy.

  4. Looks like Juarez lost the war against the Sinaloa cartel, because they are already dealing with them in their territory.

  6. The Mexicles are one of the last groups in Juarez to back up Sinaloa. But since Sinaloa has been losing ground , troops and protection. They are having issues supplying their friends Mexicles and AA. So if AA got dope to sell but Mexicles don’t or vise versa it causes problems between them. Linea has gained ground and power. They have already corrupted AA and Mexicles. And most of the Aztecas also follow Líneas lead. I think the next big war will be on the west edge of Chihuahua vs. The Sonoran groups.

  11. Sinaloa berrayed Mexicles.La Linea betrayed Aztecas. Naturally Mexicles needed help to survive whiich is why they sided with Linea which naturally had already killed plenty of them which is the internal battle withibg this group. Aztecas have to fend off everyone and work independently although some might still work for La Linea. Sinaloa and Artistas Assasins kilking others as well although Sinaloa to a lesser extent.
This is why there is so much bloodshed in Juarez. These fuckers do not know where to place and alliance and end up fucking betraying everyone anyways.
The only way the bloodshed will en is if all the groups can at least establish a truce or one or a few groups leave. Nobody can see any of these two things happening anytime soon however.
This is what the U.S. wanted however. For everybody to fight each other so asto maim these groups into bringing drugs into this country. Which of course ia not working. It (U.S. government), could give a shit how many peolple die because Americans in general only care about their own.

  12. 730 you dumbass who are you to say Americans do not care about Mexico? How does stupid shit like that get posted?
Americans if they could vote on it would vote to completely eliminate the cartels, wonder if the Mexican majority would vote the same? If anyone doesn’t care about Mexicans it the Mexican government...
Just give trump the green light cabron.

    1. If Americans or Trump were given the chance they would most likely end up using the military against cartels and kill alot more innocent civilians and fuck everyhing up in Mexico even more.
Look at what happens in the middle east were recently military commanders are being outspoken about all the fuck ups happening in Arab countries were America is at and then the press or superiors of theirs are asking them to lie about these fuck ups to the American public.
No thanks! Mexico does not need shit like that!

    3. 1:28 Mexicos problems have to do with poverty. As long as the Mexican currency is worth 20 times less than the U.S. dollar there will be people willing to provide a service that rwnders them more profit per effort.
So using any countries military is not an option.

    4. 255 using a military against terror is an option.
México has no military that has ever been in a war.
Remember ww1 and 2? I don’t think there USA has forgotten.
Apparently there are a lot of idiots in the world.
If someone is gonna police this side of earth I’ll take usa over Latin America.

    5. 12:47 U.S. needa to stop crying wolf at everything they dislike. Cartels are frightening but sure the hell ain't terrorists. If anything the U.S. terrorises the world throwing military threats to stop everyone but themselves from causing destruction and shit. This is why people hate us.

  13. The actual number is about 1,402 as of three days ago, compared with a little over 1,300 all of last year. There has been an average of 125 murders per month in Juarez, sometimes more, sometimes less. The DA attributes it to a merging of the two groups.

  14. What sucks is there is no leadership in cd Juarez. Menchos people are starting to show up little by little.
