Once again gunfire was reported in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. According to police reports at 7 p.m. there was an assault against state elements. This took place in the Infonavit Colony.
One of the policemen was injured. It caused blockages and shootings in the city. In the end, 2 armed aggressors were detained after they tried to take shelter in a WalMart on Avenida Reforma. The sudden entry of the armed men and the police again generated panic among the people who were in the mall.
We have been seeing images of violence in Nuevo Laredo for at least 15 years. Will the violence one day come to an end in that part of the country?
