Yaqui for Borderland Beat from: Infobae
Elements of the Ministry of National Defense, secured an aircraft loaded with 450 kilos of cocaine, valued at $ 5.6 million, in the municipality of Pijijiapan, in the state of Chiapas.

Through a statement, the Sedena reported the insurance of the C-206 plane with registration N771SP, with a drug shipment of more than 112 million pesos.

The secured aircraft and drugs will be made available to the corresponding authorities.

"As a result of the follow-up carried out by the Comprehensive Air Surveillance System of this Secretariat, today the entry of an unidentified aircraft into the national airspace was detected, so they deployed: a detection aircraft, two interceptors and a UH-60 helicopter with Mexican Army personnel, who managed to land a C-206 N771SP aircraft landed on the ground south of Pijijiapan, Chiapas.", the statement said.
According to the data provided by the Army itself, when the helicopter arrived with personnel of the Mexican Army and Air Force at the landing site, they also secured 18 packages of approximately 25 kilograms each, containing a white powder with the characteristics own cocaine, making a total of approximately 450 kilograms.

The confiscated  drug has an approximate market price of $5,625,000.00, USD which is equivalent to  $112,443,750.00 in national currency, ie the Mexican peso which significantly affects criminal organizations.

  1. It says only of confiscation of drugs and plane, but no where does it say if any suspects arrested, the marinas are famous for not arresting suspects.

    1. Looks like ghosts we're driving the plane, as they caught no one.

    2. That same shipment will be returned to its rightful owners.
      All smoke and mirrors

    3. Have u heard of self flying planes?

    4. Drones are getting pretty big these days. Can do international shipments from the luxury of your prison cell

    5. On or about last August 5 an aircraft carrying 450 kilos of cocaine was captured by the Mexican army in the Mexican state of Chiapas. The aircraft was identified as a Cessna 182 with the ID N771SP (Please refer to
According to information currently available this aircraft is registered with de FAA as operated by the Illinois State Police.
Because of my line of work, as a freelance journalist, is important to clarify this incident in which the name of the IPS is involved. So, on Aug 18, 2019 I initiated an investigation to find out the truth, beginning with an e-mail to Master Sergeant Chris Weidler .
The response to may e-mail to Master Sargent Chris Weidlesr was as follows:
“That information is correct. I had a letter signed by our Director verifying that information. I will send it to you as soon as I can get to my computer. May be an hour or so if that is ok. “
However, Master Sargent Weidler never communicated with me again.

  2. OMG I’m so naive. Hadn’t thought about all that.

  3. The registration number N771SP is false, that number belongs to an Illinois State Police plane and is in the US at this time. Same with the plane from the story a couple days ago.

    1. I think that's someone's idea of a joke. Using the N number of a law enforcement agency aircraft to run dope in.

    2. Made up number pasted on.

  4. No, not that I have found.
Could be abandoned, or the pilots were only ordered to leave it there for another pick up/ transport......or I could go out on a limb and suggest it was just a little gift.

    1. Lol Yanqui the military forces were following it, then all of the sudden no one comes out, and it becomes abandoned. Something smells fishy.

  5. The second plane in just a few days! I have a few ideas of what's going on.
They have an informant, with knowledge of a few loads, routes.
The increased military presence at the border dealing with immigration, areas normally unpopulated and safe to land in and out of undetected.
Insufficient bribes to govt officials, military.
Or like yaqui said, a gift to govt to make it look like they not complicit in trafficking.

  6. That's not much of a runway! What is that thing doing there?
