Yesterday an ambush gun
attack against a convoy of patrols of the Regional Single Force, left 6 agents
dead and 6 additional agents critically injured. This occurred in the municipality of La Huerta,
Jalisco where the festival of the patron saint was taking place. It happened only a few hours after the new
commander General Pedro Felipe Gurrola Ramirez was named.
According to media
reports the attacked was by Cartel Jalisco New Generation or CJNG. CJNG then set afire a
half dozen vehicles to create a road block barrier.
So far this year there
have been 326 police agents killed in 26 states.
