Video: Los Mochis shootout during the recapture of El Chapo

Lucio R. Borderland Beat

Operation "Cisne Negro"

This video  is of the shootout in conjunction with the recapture of “El Chapo”, in Los Mochis, Sinaloa. Elements of the Mexican Navy (Marina) and army were met with gunfire in the successful operation that left 5 dead, 7 arrested including El Chapo. Shooting began around 4:30 and lasted until 6AM. The footage in this video was captured by one of the elements via a go-pro type camera which he was wearing on his helmet.

Its a lot different in real life when bad guys are shooting you and give no fucks about living or dying. These soldiers are the real hero's of mexico risking their lives to change mexico for the better.

    13. As a retired US Navy Seal , it's the worst ops i have ever seen. There's to much yelling going on poor formation and they forgot their shield. Also their birds would not have been circling prior to the raid. If this was a precise tactical op Chapo would have been captured or killed at the original location.

      Delete
    14. 11:48pm
If they were regular Mexican marines that ops is actually not that bad. There formation and yelling is almost identical to regular U.S. army and marine ops I have seen on youtube. Also, you obviously haven't been following the story because it was NOT a precise op to capture anyone, they were acting on a anonymous tip of armed suspicious men in the area. Between your first and second paragraph you almost contradict yourself, yea, "if" it was that type of operation.

    15. 11:49 "soldiers" do not usually know the politics of allowing somebody to escape, by doing their best to warn them ASAP, sometimes the government know there is a lot to be gained from a live catch, other times they just fabricate a y reason to murder all the perps like TLATLAYA OR DISAPPEAR THEM LIKE AYOTZINAPA...
--in the case of el chapo, there are billions of dollars involved and information

      Delete
    17. 11:49 if you read the artcles you would know it was not a tactical op to capture Chapo or anyone else. They were simply acting on a anonymous tip of suspicious activity.

    18. The one thing you critics have to understand is these Marina are just regular infantry not special force operators. Most of these guys are probably not much older than 20. If I were 20 again and I was in their shoes I would be quite as hesitant to go down those hallways myself. Did you see how many doorways there were? Each doorway can easily be a stairway to heaven for any one of those soldiers. If there were more sicarios in the house there would have been many more soldier casualties.

Two man teams firing counterclockwise(one low one high) to clear a room is all that's needed, worked in Iraq no reason it shouldn't work in Mexico.

Also there are many "white people" who are born in Mexico. Hence they are Mexican. To be Mexican doesn't mean you have to be moreno. Hell there are even Asians who are born there=Mexicans

    11. Reilero80, I've run into Mexican blonds here in the USA and in Mexico and I believe you haven't just like you say; but your ignorance of Mexico's racial diversity doesn't count as a fact against blonds not existing in Mexico.

we mexicans are mixed blood, of 24 first cousins only 10 have black hair, the others are med brown to blond 2 have fire engine red hair, 12 have brown eyes, the remainder green or blue. I wish I could post a family foto. We are from Sonora, Sinaloa, and san juan de los lagos, Jalisco.

I told the story before but I was at a meeting in Saltillo once, with hundreds of people and the black haired people amounted to maybe 4 or 5 dozen. In the southern states where the indigenous blood is less mixed is where black hair and brown eyes are prominent.

    15. @ 5:28 I saw your answer after i posted and you are 100% spot on, however the asian mexicans are not mexican by race anymore than they would be French race if born in France. Although many have mixed blood from inter marriages.

Note to Mexicans. Try doing one of those DNA heritage testings. It is not expensive and they are very accurate, but for us mexicans are pages long because of all the "mixings" over generations.

    5. he's the TL, team leader, directing as best as possible amid the chaos (he gives a radio SITREP later). For all the disjointed madness & near cross fires, he actually did well in keeping the assault from stalling. The "pie, pie, pie" commands are room clearing tactics to angle into spaces without exposing yourself to a hidden shooter. The TL is also exhorting the team not to bunch up, quickly clear up the spaces & make sure of shooting only if there's a threat (lots of undisciplined & nervous shots taken). The "arriba, arriba" commands are for the assaulted to look/search high as well (closets/crawl spaces) as well as not letting the shooters get tunnel vision & losing focus. Not as precise as initially reported, very clumsy, but the surprise & shock value with the overwhelming violence carried them through. Delaying tactics by dead & captured body guards to give Chapo time to escape. Tough Marines regardless

    1. yeah they were not even looking just shooting hoping i guess to kill anybody before they stepped in. they should had had training because it seems like the guy recording was the one in charge but they would not listen to him lol when he would tell them to go forward lol that is how you can tell that there were not any americans in there with them i think that if they would have spotted chapo they would had killed them because in their words and talking they were asking where is he did he escape so they new he was in there not a tip off by a neighbor they actually new he was in there.
