Oaxaca-Veracruz: 8 bodies found slashed to death in ongoing Ver turf war

Lucio R. Borderland Beat

The bodies of eight men, with either throats slashed or having been beheaded, were discovered in El Ejido Colonia Morelos, of the municipality Cosolapa, Oaxaca, on the border of Oaxaca and Veracruz.

The victims were bound foot and hand with duct tape, blindfolded and were left in and around a gray SUV with Federal District license plates.  There were no gunshot impacts on the bodies, indications are they were hacked to death at the bloody scene.  All the men were clad  only in underwear when found.

A narco cartulina was left at the scene, which reads;

This is what will happen to those who work with “El Chiquis”

El Chiquis is  known as the name of the plaza chief of Cordoba, Orizaba and Tezonapa  Veracruz.

Some reports say it was a message to Los Zetas.

The vicinity of the discovery has become known as a preferred dumping ground for bodies in recent weeks, it is suspected that the killings transpire on the Veracruz side of the border, where there has been an uptick in cartel violence in recent months in a Veracruz turf war.

In twenty seven days in November there were a total of 41 bodies reported dumped in the area.

Farm workers made the discovery, "Peasants who were to work in the vicinity of the hamlet Morelos (municipality) in Cosolapa, found the bodies and notified us ," reported the deputy commander of the state police.

    2. 12:33 PM, There was an article, UK Guardian, last week, that quoted an interesting study on Immigration, including Mexicans'. The percentages of Mexicans returning of their own free will is higher than those leaving Mexico for the States. The US illegal immigrants' numbers have decreased by 1.6 million from over 6 million since 2010, according to the 2014 data analysis. The only walls Mr. Trump can justify fantasizing about building, are the ones for his own narco mausoleum. Ha!

    3. Send Christmas presents for the narcos' kids, their parents will try to steal a few chinese goods by the truck load to give to their kids, who would blame them?
--But mexican government customs may have already done that...

    2. The CJNG in that area must be broke as hell. They couldn't even afford the bullets to shoot them. That is if they even had guns in the first. Knowing how the CJNG operates they probably weren't even bonafide Zetas.

    4. If you say so 10:24 but I stil say they are broke back wannabe mafiosos. Chances are these guys were just look outs and nothing more. If these fools have beef with El Chiquis then go head up with his people and not target the unarmed workers.

  8. Unfortunately these people can be victims of simply driving around in a vehicle from the DF? we all know the killers are a bunch of paranoid tweekers.

  9. Why don't these fucking cartels just make peace with each other. If ur gonna trafficked drugs to the USA then there shouldn't be any problem for everyone to use the same border crossings. It's bcuz they want to control the kidnapping and extortion? Y r they called cartels then?

    1. Because Mexico is a neutral country meaning that by their own constitution they cannot start conflicts- wars with other countries and can only fight for self defense! What this means is that Mexicans with their tremendous machismo have to prove that they have so called balls by killing people for other reasons than political bullshit! Money hence greed is the main victor in this scenario. Cartels bosses want to be the most huevones!

  11. I don't care what anybody says, dear Mexico is at war, while the rest of us are scratching our arses, busily moralizing and pontificating, people are being killed. Horribly. Life is enough of a bitch, filled with more sorrows than laughter. A person who has lived with respect for life deserves to exit this mortal coil naturally and peacefully. We have degenerated into a world that thrives on hate. Even, worse, we're proud of it. We mindlessly get behind our politicians' sloganeering and think we're SO smart. When, it comes to Mexico, we are endlessly entertained by the likes of the bodacious Chapo Guzman as the country is turned into a police state under Manda Unica paid for by foreign interests. Heating up the plazas is a distraction.

  12. @ 3:39 AM ...

" paid for by foreign interests."

At this point, I trust foreign interests more than the Mexican government. I assume you're talking about the country's natural resources, right? Pemex under government control has been nothing but a personal bank account for millions of politicians, bureaucrats, and Pemex employees for decades. The amount of money robbed from the country's treasury by corrupt officials is really insane. That's money robbed from the future.

Yes, I do personally believe that European and U.S. corporations will be far, far, far less corrupt. I'm familiar with Euro/U.S. banking regulations and energy sector regulations and I don't doubt that these companies will be extracting profits from the country, but they'll almost certainly be less corrupt than domestic Mexican leadership has been. You can't really match up to the likes of EPN, de Gortari, etc and function as a First World corporate entity.

That's how fucked up Mexico is.

    1. Love your comments.Set the Mexican people straight. They don't trust their own government so I understand the saying:better the devil you know than the 1 you don't know but 1 thing the 1st world has is accountability.Even small companies do monthly inventories for reasons of theft so no ones tempted.A large engineering firm out of Montreal SNCLavalin was operating in north Africa and were severely fined[in the billions] for paying a bribe to operate. They have shareholders to account to.Who does the Mexican gov have to account to?It should be the voters that put them there but obviously its not.The voters are rewarded with theft of their countries resources not by the foreigners but their own leaders so Mexicans lay the blame where it really should go.

    2. Job #1 "INVEST HEAVILY ON CORRUPTING THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT"
After investing in getting them selected for "election"...
--if corruption has skyrocketed on top of drug trafficking and money laundering, both of which activities leave very little money in mexico, and nothing much other than the dead, more corruption and lazily dug narcofosas...it is very easy to see who is to be blamed for LatinAmerica's problems, and all the other problems all o er the world, the US and their partners in global vulture privatizations helped by the corrupt governments they buy and pay with bread crumbs and table scraps...
--Canadiana you sound like an agent sent by the world's enemies that breed corruption until it explodes on their face, and damn the popó...
--not for nothing our beloved dear leaders run to ireland, england, canada, the US, harvard, yale...europe...they have been promised protection there for them and the money they steal from our countries, and impunity for their murdering too...
