Presented Bearing their Weapon of Choice

When Mexican authorities capture suspected members of organized crime, they present them to the media in a press conference. The military does it, as well as the federal and municipal police. Along with the suspects, they also present the items they confiscate at the scene, many times it includes weapons, drugs, uniforms and equipment.

There has been times where the suspects are presented while holding the weapons they were found to be in possession, as is the case in this recent picture of two sicarios belonging to La Familia that were captured in the state of Mexico. The men are seen displaying two Glock handguns 9mm and an AK-47 or "cuernos de chivo." They are both wearing polo shirts bearing the insignia of the federal police.

It does not get more incriminating than this and not to mention a safety issue when the ammunition for the weapons is within reach. Such is the process in Mexico, have to love it!

The all time classic.

Safety issue? You have more than two cops right next to you with weapons loaded with bullets and they will kill you. Will you take a chance? For sure I know I wouldn't.

Lets get serious, he is surround by two cops, the ammo is outta the gun, and the ammo is displayed bullet by bullet on the table. Where is the safety issue? Unless your superman, I don't think anyone can load a clip of ammo, put it in the gun, and shoot the police before the officers surrounding him would shoot his ass or stop him haha.

  13. Wow! The guy with the long rifle smiling is an instant classic. Yes, he reminds me of Carlos the construction worker who help remodeled my house.

  14. That guy is smiling because he knows that he is going to be back on the streets soon and he wants to look good next to the two federales. So, when he gets out, he will want that picture to show his compas! The mexican criminal system is a joke, they only lock up pretty criminals because they are to broke to pay their wsy out.

  17. I wish the Federal Police would find a rifle and stick with it...you have a mix of M16, a Galil or G3 (top picture) and a G36 (bottom picture).
Having a common weapon makes repairs and logistics easier, and in a firefight being able to share ammo is a life saver. Mix of 7.62 and 5.56 not smart.

  18. Would be pretty easy for both guys to pose about a bit with the glocks, lock the slides back, pose a bit more, then quickly sweep up a round, push it into the chamber through the ejection port, drop the slide and take both Feds out. And the last guy is smiling because he knows he's gonna be back on the street in 12hrs.

I believe both of you need to learn the difference between the Federal police and the municipal police. These are not "federales" but your average municipal cop, which explains the difference in weapons and ammo haha.

  24. Regarding the third pic...does the cop on the left have duct tape on his gun? Lol! What about the mop behind the other cop! I love this picture so much. Not only is he smiling, it is like he is flirting with the camera! Best day in this guy's life!

  25. How is putting a gun and ammunition in the same room as a criminal NOT a safety issue? Yes there are police their with loaded guns ready for a shootout, and a shoot out is also a safety issue. Do you think a criminal going for a magazine and a cop having to place one in his head at close range during a scuffle is a safe situation?? Some people...
