'El Chumil' Arrested

The Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA) said in a statement that the Mexican Army was able to capture Victor Emanuel Delgado Medrano, alias El Chumil, who is the leader of the criminal organization of the Zetas in Cancún, Quintana Roo .

The Chumil was captured along with seven others, whose identities are unknown.

This led to the release of a woman who was kidnapped and found in the safe house where the operation was carried out.

As a result of the raid, the soldiers seized: four rifles, four handguns, a grenade, 19 magazines, 575 cartridges, four laptops, a machine that makes bank cards, 270 bank cards; 148,000 pesos, six vehicles, and a motorcycle.

  4. 270 bank cards? Aint that quite risky to transfer money around electronically? Sure it is much more handy than having hard cash but I could see alarm bells ringing.
