"Everything is fine here," says regional Mexican singer

The regional Mexican singer was not abducted nor did he suffer any criminal act against him in the state of Zacatecas

The regional Mexican singer Alfredo Olivas was not kidnapped in Zacatecas, he is well and at home, according to the singer himself and his representative Alex Jimenez, who denied that "Alfredito" had suffered any criminal act against him.

On the other hand, the spokesperson for the State Peacebuilding Roundtable informed El Sol de Zacatecas that there is no information about any violent incident in which the work team of singer Alfredo Olivas and/or the performer himself were allegedly involved, later confirmed in a press release.

It is totally ruled out that this has occurred in the state of Zacatecas.

On Tuesday morning, it was reported on social networks that singer Alfredo Olivas had been abducted by armed individuals on a highway in the municipality of Concepción del Oro, Zacatecas, along with members of his staff, and it was even claimed that his equipment and a truck had been stolen.

The rumor was denied by Alex Jiménez, Alfredo Olivas' representative, who assured several TV shows that Alfredito had been the victim of a crime of this magnitude.

Alfredo Olivas presented his show "Pisteando Juntos" on February 12 at the Arena Monterrey, alongside Luis R. Conriquez.

Who is Alfredo Olivas?

José Alfredo Olivas Rojas, better known as Alfredo Olivas "El Patroncito" or "Alfredito", is a singer, composer and accordion player of regional Mexican music, in the style of Sinaloan banda, Pacific style norteño, narco ballads and mariachi.

One of his most popular corridos is "Las Vacaciones del Jefe," which is included on the El Patroncito album. The song reached number 31 on Billboard's regional "Mexican Airplay" chart.

Several bands have performed Alfredo Olivas' songs, such as Los Cuates de Sinaloa who recorded the song, "Tocando con la mafia," which reached #13 on Billboard's "Top Regional Mexican Albums" in 2011.

Violent acts against Alfredo Olivas

In 2015, when Alfredo Olivas performed in Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua, he was shot six times while he was in the middle of the stage, leaving him wounded, some people lost their lives during the attack.

In 2018, Alfredo Olivas' father was the victim of an armed attack in the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco, for which he was hospitalized in a hospital, where, days later armed men entered the hospital, with the intention of attacking him again, which they did not achieve.

  2. It probably wasn’t a kidnapping, just a big cartel member that wanted a privada ? Heard stories about singers getting intercepted when a big cartel member wants a private concert and then they’re free to go afterwards.
