A Look at the Interior of Ovidio's House

"HEARST" for Borderland Beat

A gallery of images showing the interior of Ovidio Guzman’s house in Jesus Maria, Sinaloa, where cartel hitmen and soldiers battled it out on January 5, 2023 - the day he was arrested.

A Video

Authorities have begun giving media outlets access to the home, allowing them to film the interior, as is.

Through viewing videos like this (along with others) we can begin to piece together the scene of the nighttime battle where 10 soldiers and19 Sinaloa Cartel hitmen were killed.

The following is a guess at the layout of the house, as well as a collection of frames from various videos, separated by room.

  1. He lived like a pig for a rich guy if you ask me. Lol. I guess money only go so far. Ovidio is the only person responsible for having children at the house. He is putting his family in danger. He should know better. They are not untouchable and sooner or later they will get it. I’m also ok with military men stealing all valuables if in reality they did it. Lol. Towns people are mad because they wanted a piece of the pie. Lol.

    2. yeah, he didn’t live like that. it looks like they didn’t know what was going to hit them. i mean…it looks like someone swiped all his clothes and jewelry. i doubt he just has empty boxes of rolex watches

    3. That’s living like a millionaire in Mexico with Mercedes cars in a small town like that but your not ready for that conversation lol

    4. You really don't know how millionaires live in Mexico, that's just a big house wit very tacky taste, and very expensive cars. I know they have millions of dollars, and its only one of his property's but still, this people don't have class, they behave like new money people.

    5. This is not even close to live like a millioner lmao 🤣 😂 this is just poor and cheap taste this is the equivalent of a redneck fabulous. The Chilangos have the wealth, the upper class, infrastructure, government supremacy and status that control Mexico. Look up Polanco, Coyoacan, Santa Fe, Satellite etc...

  3. It does actually look like a modest rancho. It was where his family was living. Not in fear of government cause bribes have been paid. But ELMO had to have a gift in hand for his papa Biden. Look at all the carnage caused by that. Isn’t the exact reason he gave for releasing him last time? Elmo is way more treacherous than any of the narcos. Better wake up and see just how expendable regular ordinary citizens are to Elmo and his government.

  4. This is a very weak layout for a security house, especially with family in it. Sometimes carnage comes back knocking at your door, especially when someone has cussed this carnage on other families. This is normal for these criminals, but here civilians are (understandably) seeing it as carnage by military.

  6. He might as well went ahead gave them his address. It’s obvious as hell. That’s was his own fault. Lay low. He didn’t

  7. I'm sure escape plan / bunker? was in place & women/ kids had time to get to safety. Had to of heard, plus halcones, the battle coming to them. Road to Jesus Maria littered with trucks that lost their battle. Unless black hawk went straight to that compound and started dumping without warning.

    1. I agree, which makes me believe that some of the military parachuted their way in, or perhaps they were already there. It doesn't seem likely that they had the time to drive on the roads with all the road blocks etc and still had time to get him before he got the time to escape.

  10. The average Mexican working in the U.S. has a house in Mexico as nice as this. His "security" were crammed four to a room with no privacy for when they have female friends over.
It's not just the damage caused by the raid. He had all the shit laying around the house and lived like a pig.
Chapo was sleeping on a mattress on a floor when he was busted. He didn't even have a bed. Nice to see how nice these narcos really live. Hollywood has them living in stately mansions surrounded by highly trained assassins. Fewer people would be in the game if they knew they could live better with an honest job.
The media isn't much different. The media created the myth that 800 narcos flooded the street during the Culiacanazo. Truth be told, there were only about 50.

    1. Great comment! I mean possible dead little girl, and a dead 14 year old sicario aka cannon fodder. If it was his daughter he may cry, but I guarantee you he is a sociopath with no real conscience or ability to truly love, even his own precious kids! He will shed fake tears and emotion, MAYBE, only if he thinks he can con or get something out of doin so. Spoiled criminal punk who has never had to do anything unless all the odds are on his side. He has never banged it out in the streets. He is a punk who would be the cannon fodder if it wasn’t for the nepotism due to his rat rapist dad! What a stud rat boy is?! Right you fuckers who cheer on this garbage?!

Foo you don’t even go to Mexico anymore all scared in the US. I bet when you would go, it was only to the tourists areas. Most of these narcos have plenty of homes and also know not live too lavish especially when they live among the poor who surround them in nearby villages.

    3. The average Mexican working in the auS has a 6 car garage with Mercedes’ and ATV’ everywhere? Multiple homes etc etc? If you’re going to get on your little soapbox and yeah I hear your mission you have to be honest you can’t hide facts. Do you think they lived like this so messy they couldn’t walk around the rooms and Chapo so messy he couldn’t even get to a mattress on the floor. I get your whole DEA reverse psychology trick it’s not rocket science just be honest. Crooked cops eating food stealing and neighbors stealing all night you can’t lie that away Dad.

Your are judging by the after the raid pictures. You did not see the part, when the Military went through their stuff, ate thier food on the tables, jewelry and dresses disappeared.

  11. No escape tunnels and secret bunkers? Living like a pig in a shitty house and his top sicarios in steel bunk beds. Kitchen is a mess with dirty looking food no gourmet chef. Cheap furniture. No class. Not exactly billionaire drug lord. Hope the entire family get killed or life without parole in a supermax

  15. What people don't understand is long gone are the days where you could build huge lavish narco mansions and enjoy the life when your on the radar like he was. First thoughts are his family would have not to been there at that time because he would have ordered to not retaliate. This time the government came guns blazing and not having intentions of holding back.

  16. Hearts I have tried to send you two videos of the Culiacanazo vie email but it doesn’t go true I don’t know why. But. If you have TikTok look at this accounts for the videos one is minigun used on sicarios on daytime in the mountains dirt roads (coqueta76_official) and the other one is sicarios on tactical gear arrested by military in town on the ground weapons on the side (fidelis_justus777). The videos are good and I don’t think you guys have them. Little by little more images and videos are coming out.

    1. I think yall don’t get that the cost of building likely fluctuates depending on where you are. Building a house on the border or a big city is going to be cheaper than in a remote area.

  23. The lady on the video complained about the trauma the little girl get from the house attacked on that day. Funny but you will never hear them complain about the trauma relatives will have on all those killed on order of el Ratón.
