Guachochi, Chihuahua: Armed Protagonists Escape Federal Authorities

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Video translation is as follows:

According to information shared by various State and Federal agencies there was a gun battle with members of organized crime on the Guachochi to Yoquivo Highway.

The Mexican Army, National Guard and State Police were traveling through the highlands of the state when they suffered an aggression at the hands of the crew of three fleeing vehicles.

After a search they managed to catch up with a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe that was abandoned at the intersection of Abraham Gonzalez between the Magisterial and Campesina neighborhood streets where 10 kilos of marijuana and an assault rifle were seized. However, no arrests were reported in this case.
