Both the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel (CSRL) left bodies across Celaya, Guanajuato, earlier this morning

This morning in Celaya, Guananuato, authorities discovered several dismembered bodies, in plastic bags, abandoned in six different parts of the city. The remains correspond to a man and a woman.

At 5 in the morning they reported the first finding. On the Celaya - Salvatierra federal highway, near the Rincón de Tamayo detour, the body of the dismembered man was found.

The female victim was found in La Cruz community. At the height of Lázaro Cárdenas avenue, on southern part of Libramiento bridge, more of her remains were found.

Near two roundabouts, authorities discovered more human remains. The last location was on Panamericana Highway, next to a gas station.

Police officers cordone the area where the remains were found

One of the narcobanners left at the scene.

Several narcobanners (narcomantas) were left at the scene, including one that attributes the attack to M1, the suspected leader of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel (CSRL). Following the arrests of Jose Antonio Yepez Ortiz ('El Marro') and Adan Gonzalez Ochoa ('El Azul'), M1 is the reported leader of the CSRL.

"Here we leave your fake elites. The Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel continues and will continue to work throughout the state. We are not going to allow the CJNG to settle in the state of Guanajuato. Yours sincerely: M1", the banner in orange read.

The CJNG also left banners next to one of the bodies. In their message, they said that one of the victims was an informant of State Police Inspector (ESPE) Jose Roberto Becerra Rivera.

"...[This] is how all those who continue committing crimes will end. We are going after all you fucking filthy state officers ... Here the only company that commands in Guanajuato is the CJNG. Sincerely: Grupo Elite, Grupo Tactico."

A banner right next to it included several names, possibly state police officials under Becerra Rivera: Blanca Ester Martinez Martinez, Juan Jimenez Manueles, Silvia Elena Ramirez Ibarra, Martin Priot Garcia, Daniel Cortes Villalpando, Angela del Carmen Zuniga Gaytan, Luis Alberto Terrero Rojas, Diana Araceli Espinoza Juarez, Salud Javier Luna Lopez, and Ernesto Alonso Grabiel Bernabe.

    1. Not really this is in celaya, that and leon probably are santa rosas last hiding places, if you see the narco measages the orange one is from santa rosa and the other 3 are from cjng, so santa rosa killes one of cjng and cjng killes like 3 of them, this is gonna go on for a little bit longer but the remains of S R wont last long little bit of cleaning is left

    2. @12:54 Pinche panocha "the last hiding places" jajajajajajaja pendejo.

  12. If they went through all the trouble of dismembering a body, couldn’t they use a sign board that didn’t look like it was made by a homeless person asking for money? And was that message really needed? I think the point was made. All of this to say, these are crimes against humanity, they well exceed what the UN would consider human rights violations and it doesn’t matter what context. Just because they consider themselves in a drug war doesn’t make this kind of brutality less inhumane. Ultimately, it will be up to the Mexican people, who as a group, outnumber the narcos by millions, to stand up and demand that these atrocities no longer be tolerated as day to day events—people treated like road kill instead of celebrating and glorifying narco-culture. I don’t care what this woman did or didn’t do, she was a human being. To see her ravaged like this and there being no outrage—no marches, nothing in an organized manner to stand up to these savages and the government who allows this—well, it is disheartening and foreshadows worse to come. If this tolerable, then anything is. There is no democracy in a society that lives in fear. And living in fear is not really living, but simply surviving. Mexicans have a beautiful nation and a rich history. I hope as a society they will harness that as an anchor from which to demand better. May this deceased woman Rest In Peace. I hope we find out who she was. She deserves an identity. She deserves justice, no matter who what she did or who she was associated with. She was a human being, not an animal, not disposable.
