Nuevo Laredo Tamaulipas: Mexican Army kills 12 members of CDN Tropa del Infierno

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat

A confrontation broke out between elements of the Mexican Army and members of "Tropa del Infierno”. (The Troop of Hell), the enforcer wing of the Northeast Cartel aka CDN.

The army was on a surveillance patrol on a highway close to the airport in Cd. Victoria, Tamaulipas, in the Los Fresnos neighborhood, when they were attacked by a group of Tropa, who immediately began firing at the elements with heavy weapons.

The Tropa members were wearing cloned uniforms of the Mexican Navy (Marina) and were identified as Tropa del Infierno sicarios.

The clash occurred around 5:30AM.

The army along with the National Guard managed to repel the attack which left 12 Tropa members dead.  Images depict the dead in the bed of a pickup and alongside the vehicle. Seized were various vehicles of the organized group, along with weapons.

  1. Military is almost always overwhelmingly better in shootouts. Makes me wonder if there are extrajudicial killings here and in other cases.

    1. They are better trained. The cartel bitches are young, underweight, badly fed and trained.

    2. Of course there is. Remember the video when they’ve had gotten los fresas in a shoot out. Then they (military) were recording the aftermath after the video ended there were pictures of one of the sicarios shot in the forehead and on the video he was shot up on the legs and complaining about the pain.

    3. Mexican military is doing great job.. will trained.. if the government ever let's them lose they can swipe out the cartels. I am very surprised the Miltary has not Overthrwn the Mexican government. They could walk into National Palace without firing a shoot. Santa Anda did it. Good luck to Mexican Arm force u r in my prayers

    8. Huevo Trevino doesnt pay to the govt..trying to go heads up with them is costing him many people. They are constantly wiping out whole cells of CDN. Im surprised Huevo has enough guys to protect him at this point.

    9. We could not prove it directly but we can certainly dpeculate there's a possibility the military just finished off the injured and even the ones who surrendered, in the end who cares about this trash.

    10. 3:34 dude it is always like that! The military knows that arresting these scumbags will have no effect and they be out soon again.

      Delete
    11. 3:34 you know well your crap, this is one more state crime, even tropa del infierno knows it is better to surrender to the "mexican armed forces that "fight until every enemy is dead or disappeared"

    12. Well they were trained in the US of A

    13. Cdn and semar both have green lights on each other it's on sight

    14. @5:16 why would regular soldiers be trained in EEUUAA? 13 years of combat will only sharpen their skills

    15. Not a single optic on any of those rifles. Kinda strange

    16. What i thought as well. Imagine if they had even a red dot on one of those .50s they could of blown the engine block out of the car if they could aim.

  2. Cdn seems to be the group the most often gets torn up by the military. Is it that other cartels just pay them off or something else?

    4. There is plaza bosses that order their sicarios to not get in the way of the military and only report of their current location using their “Halcones”

They just don’t want any smoke

    5. They are being planted for hunting, to make merits for military and police menbers vacation and bonuses, all the symptoms of Colombian alvaro uribe's campaign of falsos positivos for propaganda are there, start with the politics of no survivors found anywhere near, rhe killers need to be court martialed in a civilian court, dressed down and drummed out of their jobs to prison by honest members, IF THERE ARE ANY

    6. Every other cartel will be paying the military and police to attack the CDN Zetas because they control the busy US border crossing.
CDN's Tropa del Infierno are very aggressive towards government forces, attacking them regularly with very well equipped cannon fodder.

    7. An interesting question. Curious to know the percentage of military confrontations with cartel clashes?

Local governments in a quest for credibility and to stop AMLO from getting involved in "their state" are doing death campaign to show upper hand against crime, do not hand them your panties yet...

    1. That’s part of why SEDENA/SEMAR/Fuerza Tamaulipas ride around in Plasan SandCats. Those things can take multiple direct hits from grenade launchers, RPGs, or IEDs. The Israelis make a good product.

      Delete
    2. 12:05 Those SandCats are not going to stop an RPG maybe an IED but it depends on how big the IED is anything over 10 kilos I doubt it's going to do much. That shit will tear it apart maybe an indirect hit but a direct hit not a chance.
Barret 50 cals are best used from a distance with AP rounds. If CJNG had used a browning 50 cal machine gun instead of a barret they would have killed Omar García Harfuch (Marcelino García Barragán) I have a feeling old head marcelino made it back from the underworld and is working his way up the chain once again.

Aun que el es del Pri pero sabe como tener una estrategia pa detener o abatir a la delicuensia. No ordena a liberar un capo si las cosas no salen bien. El no se rinde.

Tropa del infierno: look the huachitos let's go shoot them with the barrette so they can turn around and kill us...

These guys are idiots. Why would you engage the army to get smacked. CDN are the type of sicarios that listen to their trash music and believe their own hype.

    2. Sometimes they can't help it there are only so many roads and those same roads are traveled by many people from different groups and law enforcement. Other times military get ambushed by these idiots and since military has more training they end up dying

    3. The Military and State police live in terror in Nuevo Laredo. They have to truck in their own fuel. They can't eat in cafes. CDN will torch any business caught serving them.
The moment that they set foot outside of their barracks they can expect .50 calibre rounds incoming.
They ambush the military in one location, and then are free shift a truck full of drugs elsewhere.
It is not such a crazy tactic as long as they have a steady supply of cannon fodder and weapons.

      Delete
    4. This is accurate

  24. Good! If they thought they liked to act like a 'group from hell', that's where they damn well can go! Note what extraordinary heavy weapons must of them had by the way. Inheritances from in the hay-day? Didn't mach their tactics web's shooting skills obviously. Though they would in little time be vastly outmanned taking on the pros anyway, of course. Guess v your best bet as a criminal is to keep low-profile and to stay out of sight as much as you can.

    2. Sinaloa failed because nuevo laredo was controlled by the cdg and the cdg had real zetas and real sicarios from tamaulipas on point on the war with chapos and beltranes. The cdn doesnt have the connections of the cdg nor the original zetas anymore. The cdn is the treviño faction without the 2 main azzhole treviños. Also the only reason why the cdn makes money is because n.l. is a great plaza. Once drugs are in the usa u got san antonio and dallas and houston. Lot of money in thos cities and great drug hubs to send to the rest of usa. Nuevo laredo wld be a great plaza for a real cartel as it was when the cdg used to run it.

    3. @107, as a person who’s crossed multiple times through all major ports of entry including garitas, I agree with 836. I’ve noticed the border patrol are more active in The Nuevo Laredo and McAllen poets of entry. Including the garitas. And yes just outside of falfurrias I was pulled over and detained for a non sense violation and ended up getting searched and realeased. I don’t dwell into the dope world so I know I’m good but somehow when I’m in the valley I feel more scrutinized by the fellow Mexican American working for the law. They’re suspicions are so heacy that for a second you’re convinced yourself that you’re smuggling something even though you’re cleaner than a mofo.

When the troopa de inferno rocked up with 150+men with 30 pick ups and shot up a town with 50 cal but yet it was 4 security forces dead and 17 cdn dead the only thing the military do is kick doors In and kill unarmed teenagers el senor lazca has unleashed the Scottish battalion of the last letter to squash these gafe wannabees el mchummer will extinguish them

  28. Troops especially in the north are being trained by latino EUA special forces elements. México is being very secretive about this. La Armada? I think this is going on more than we realize. Soldados Latinos in EUA are disgusted and are than willing to volunteer as unarmed advisors. They are limited to training not patrols. And soon there may be helicopters with pilotos Mexicanos. No more caravanas de sicarios en Chihuahua. We live in interesting times.
