Culiacán: Enrique Romero Guzmán Rocha killed, cousin of El Chapo, brother of "Juancho"

Chapo accused of the murder of Juancho in New York trial.....

Early Wednesday morning the body of a young man was found in an abandoned car in the community of El Ranchito, in Culiacán, Sinaloa, authorities reported that the deceased was Enrique Romero Guzmán Rocha, cousin of the Sinaloa cartel leader Joaquín ''El Chapo'' Guzmán. Enrique was the brother of Juan "Juancho" Guzmán Rocha. El Chapo was charged with Juancho’s murder, in U.S. Federal Court.

Borderland Beat: El Chapo Trial: "Blood thirsty Chapo even killed ...

“Juancho”
Juancho was murdered in 2011  by orders of Chapo Guzmán, according to the testimony of Lucero Guadalupe Sánchez, a mistress of the former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, who testified during the trial in New York.

She testified that one day when they were eating at the house where they lived together in Culiacán, Cóndor, secretary  of Chapo, arrived and informed her that Virgo, or Juancho, was dead.

At  first, she thought that she had died of an illness, until she saw Guzmán Loera get very serious and turn to see her to tell her that from then on everyone who betrayed him or "put the finger on him" was going to die, even if they were family members, women, or friends.

She then realized that Chapo had ordered a hit on his cousin.

Guzmán Rocha, a cousin of El Chapo, was one of the defendants in a 2009 indictment, in what is believed to be the most important drug case in Chicago history.

Juancho controlled the flow of narcotics from Culiacán, Mexico, was an intermediary and logistical coordinator for the shipment of large quantities of heroin and cocaine to the Chicago area, according to the lawsuit against him, indicates the Tribune.

In a 2014 document sent to federal judge Rubén Castillo, the prosecution informs him that they obtained "credible information" that states that Guzmán Rocha was assassinated in December 2011 due to "cartel-related violence."

An armed group abducted Juancho the road to Navolato. He was accompanied by José Miguel Bastida Manjarrez and both were found with traces of torture and gunshot wounds.

Enrique

Wednesday morning, they received a call about a person who was dead inside a red car; the victim was Enrique Romero Guzmán, Juancho's brother, who had several bullet wounds to the body.

Local police said that on the morning of July 8th they went to the scene of the abandoned vehicle and that the driver was dead inside the vehicle with several bullet wounds.

Sicarios almost got Enrique on July 3

On July 3, the Enrique had been chased by an armed group in various streets of the Pemex neighborhood. He was onboard a vehicle whose license plates were from the State of Mexico and was accompanied by a young woman, they were able to flee.

Enrique was found murdered yesterday in the El Ranchito ejido, south of Culiacán.  The body of Guzmán Rocha was discovered at 5:00 a.m. yesterday, in the driver's seat of a Toyota Corolla red vehicle, model 2010.

He had bullet impacts in the back, limbs, and head.

Material with respect to Enriques murder was from SillaRota

  1. According to Damaso, during his testimony against Chapo, El Juanchito was killed because he lied to Chapo.

He had called in sick “for work” and was found the same day driving around Culiacan. For this, he had to die, regardless how close he was to the boss.

    2. I believe Juancho was also on think ice for selling to the competition (BL) who at the time was at war with Chapo.

    3. Comandante Virgo got killed along with Guerito Bastidas..

    4. If this guy got paid what CDS pays it's hitmen in Juarez which is around 2000 pesos or 100 dollars a week for a leader of around 10 of these then I would not blame the dude for calling in sick to work.
CDS is well known to pay peanuts to their soldiers like the two guys that got decapitated a few years ago in Sonora. It was a nephew and unlce that betrayed Sinaloa. They claime they had to because the mighty CDS paid them only 1000 pesos a week which means they could not even make ends meet with that miserable salary.

    5. He was killed for telling Arturo he was on his side not Chapos. He was going to die either way it was a double edge sword. If Chapo had not killed him, Arturo would have.

    6. Chapo was known to make his men work hard for their money, no handouts. I believe he made his bodyguards sleep on the floor as well.

    7. Juancho was a big player and well connected ,his mistake was that he started to move weight tons sending shipments to the USA without chapo knowing and chapo considered this a betrayal. Even though he was chapós cousin he still had to let him know what was being moved

      from my trial article:

In the interrogation of Rincón Martínez he confesses to participating in a meeting where he was informed that El Chapo was the one responsible for the fall Alfredo Beltrán Leyva, alias El Mochomo. He also says he received a phone call from Arturo Beltrán Leyva, who questioned him on his loyalties. El Barbas asked him, “Who side are you on?” He allegedly responds “With Alfredo's people,” although he had started his criminal career with El Chapo.

Rincón Martínez says he felt obliged to stay with the Beltrán Leyva cartel because to say otherwise meant certain death. He also states this was totally confusing for him because he always thought El Chapo was not the one responsible for the arrest of Mochomo, and he had speculated that the whole thing was just being used for an excuse to start a war.

    15. Guero bastidas had no problems. He was well liked, his only sin was being with comandante Virgo at the time. That sealed his fate.

    16. 8:49 so hitmen risking their lives as well as their families and on call 24/7 are only worth 100 dollars a week for CDS and the mighty 701?
Paying them more is a handout also?

    1. 12:29 AM Pretty much Los Chaputos thought since they have AMLO support they can start making plays they should realize one thing AMLO doesn't have full control of everyone in Mexico. AMLO is looking for one thing and one thing only money and for Morena to pretty much become the PRI of the 21 century.

Carteles Unidos, Chaputos, Escrpiones from CDG are all supporting Morena that is the reason AMLO and his corrupt government are allowing them to do as they please.

The american empire is a rotting carcass held together by the US$ reserve currency which after printing 7 trillion fake fiat $$$(3 trillion in the past 3 mos and counting) is heading for collapse and like all empires once the collapse begins it is fast and brutal. 20. Anyone has an educated guess on the number of sicarios chapitos can bring to battle and how many their enemies can field?
A little surprised with all the $$$ the chapitos and mayos are alledged to have they have no attack helicopters, even home-made ones, with heavy fire power, especially in rural areas where they have been ambushed. Perhaps, stolen trucks and old AKs and 100 peso a day sicarios(that are many times stiffed for their pay) are all they can afford.

    6. Less innocent people got killed. They were mostly deeply involved, not everyone had gun to fight but they all approved the methods applied by ISIS and others and supported them.
If your country is invaded, you go to work at daylights and e.g. building IEDs at night- and of course your family will tell the press that you are just a poor ranchero and not an IED expert.
