Too Much Cross Information of the Conflict to Take Control of Sonora

By Buggs for Borderland Beat

I have a source that told me something very different from the problem between El Gigio that is supposedly fighting against El Noveno. I present you these 14 points to consider to make some sense of the conflict taking place in the northern part of Sonora.

  1. According to my information, the reason for this fight that has been seen in Sonora is that it started when El JJ who is a collaborator of El Gigio was executed and the person responsible was El 5 who is people of Alfredo Salazar aligned with Los Chapitos.
  2. Except my source says that El JJ was actually executed by people of Caro Quintero in retaliation for the death of a collaborator of Caro Quintero at the hands of El JJ.
  3.  In my opinion, I see more a possibility of the first point especially after the narco-message that was found on top of JJ's body that said: "The cleaning of rats of JJ has begun," I see this more as a threat, not just a settling of scores.
  4. After the death of El JJ, a large convoy was seen patrolling the city of Magdalena, but witnesses report that that same night the same convoy was seen at the outskirts of Nogales, they say that they were about to attack the city but someone from the hierarchy stopped the attack.
  5. The source tells me that Nogales will not be part of these confrontations because there would be an increase in violence in the city.
  6. Apparently the source tells me that El Cazador/El Noveno was going to be the boss of the plaza of Nogales for Los Chapitos but it did not happened because there was already a bad relationship with the operator of Mayo Zambada in the city.
  7. For this reason, El 5 was presented as the boss of the plaza for Los Chapitos.
  8. My source tells me that El 5 paid El Gigio "pago de piso"a fee to operate because he has been a person in the city for a long time within the command of Nogales.
  9. It is said that El 5 is not at war against El Gigio. This seems strange to me since El Cazador/El Noveno are people of Alfredo Salazar. I wonder why Alfredo Salazar does not give a hand to El 5 to unite against El Gigio.
  10. I do not think it's a war of their own free will, this is due to an order from the leaders of this group.
  11. The people of El Gigio are trying to remove El Cazador/El Noveno from the plazas of Magdalena and Santa Ana, this is a strategic in the attack because it takes place in the middle of territories that are being fought by these groups.
  12. The source tells me that soon there will be a fight for Altar, the home base of El Cazador/El Noveno.
  13. This is the result of the war that is lived in Sinaloa between Los Chapitos and Mayo Zambada.
  14. If I return to point two where the people of Caro Quintero ordered the head of El JJ, then is fair to say that the people of Caro Quintero are in alliance with Los Chapitos, but there is a fact that contradicts this point. After the shootout in Cibuta near Nogales where they tried to execute El 5, it is said they the ones responsible were the people of Caro Quintero in alliance with Los Paez.

I think there is a lot of cross information from a lot of people who could be spreading a lot of misinformation, that makes it very hard to post more information of the conflict that is taking place in the northern region of Sonora. Please feel free to chime in if you have a perspective or credible knowledge.

  1. Great work
But regardless who’s in charge or what exactly happened, these guys will just end up end of in jail.
    Enough said

  2. el 5 cristobal is from la gente de los chapitos. a few years back he was arrested by military officials after a chase and gunfire exchanged. he made a call during the chase in a light brown tahoe and was told to give himself up two weeks later he was out. front page of the nogales el nuevo dia newspaper. so he is not mayo. no reason to pay any floor fees unless he switched sides. and even then no reason to pay. the gn should be backing him up unless they want him out and el 9 in. either way this will play out soon behind the scenes as quite as possible.

  3. Any word from Michael Miller? He claims to know it all even where the chapitos hide... He should be able to tell us whats really going on.

    2. 418 this is a blog that takes stories in Spanish and posts in English. The awesome people that post the articles take the time to find and translate for us non Spanish speakers. Ohhhhhh and don't get paid for their hours and hours dedicated to this site.
I am BEYOND thankful for Chivis, Yaqui, Buggs and the others. Without them a large majority of us here would have no idea what's going on.
I'm REALLY tired of reading people be so ungrateful and complaining. How about this... don't come to the site or contribute yourself

    3. Most people who know about the drug game know that OG shadow is a phony but idiots still believe him and watch his content.

    4. CDS are all known government informants it wouldn’t or doesn’t surprise me that shadow is a snitch just like his people from sinaloa!

    6. MM I don't know either way I just viewed 4 min of footage. but I can say he is largely thought of as bogus. not sure why. I make it a policy to believe people unless I see evidence otherwise.

example: Mochomo's cellie wrote on comments he was mochomo's cellie. people were slamming him left and right. I was interested and asked if he would email me. he did and we began communicating. He sent foto evidence. even fotos of alfredos family. I knew alfredo's atty so I asked him about the cellie. at first he said "no" i sent the evidence. he spoke to alfredo and then it was confirmed. One never knows.

with this guy he used my buddy ioan grillo to promote a "water well project" he did not ask grillo. I told Grillo who knew nothing about it. He said "I am going to be more careful who I interview with in the future.

At the very least it demonstrates how shady this shadow character is.

    7. Why did you take down the comment talking about og shadow being a fraud? It was not offensive. So much for freedom of speech.

Og shadow is a fake and a groupie!

    8. I didn't see or take it down. Maybe someone else. But you have this one up now..

    9. Sorry chivis for my ignorance. When you said “slamming him left and right” do you mean mochomo was getting beat up?

      Delete
    10. Chivis, I did notice of shadow posted a video about a cjng group recently trying to shoot down a helicopter in sonora, he referred to a video that showed them being chased by the helicopter while they were returning fire from a heavily armored vehicle. I couldnt find the video he was talking about anywhere... I was waiting/hoping for borderlandbeat to do an article with a link to the video...

    11. My bad it was an ambiguous statement...I meant the cellie here in comments. no one believed him. However I am thinking you are not serious.

  5. How can RCQ still be in the game if he was locked up for over 20 years?
Sure fans of his would say he gave orders from the inside but this does not coincide with any reports of his organisation moving any weight or carrying out any acts of violence to keep their territory/ies.
In other words no group claimed alliance to him after he was inprisoned.
Sure he may have stashed away tons of money in offshore bank accounts to be used after his release or what not but this still gives no insight as to what his crew/s was or were doing while he was not present.

    1. Payanes and Quineteros are old school and kept a low profile. Just because Rafa was locked up doesn’t mean business didn’t continue, his release just brought back spotlight

      Delete
    2. His family was still heavily involved Caro , Payan, Quintero , paez , Navidad .

      Delete
    3. RCQ is still in the game has power and influence. That's how he got released from Puente Grande by paying off a corrupt judge. I seriously doubt that Don Rafa and his brother Miguel are just cattle ranchers as they claim. RCQ has always had influence in Jalisco (especially GDL and PTO Vallarta) and Sonora. He will back whatever group whenever it is to his advantage.

      Delete
    4. The caro Quinteros are probably the most deeply rooted family in narco history. It doesnt matter what hole he was in for 20 years he will always have a ton of power just off the weight of his name. He has been linked to cds, blo and cjng but isnt aligned with any of them. I'd say theres a lot going on in sonora that doesnt have to do with him but I'd be a fool to think hes not a part of a lot of the dust that's been kicked up. Him and his recently released brother have always had a base in sonora and I'd bet that they want it back plus. He could make a call to any of boss in Mexico and be however deep in the game he wants to be.

    5. sorry about my english its not the best. 3rd language.

rafa caro´s family has always been in the bussines even when he was in jail. they had construction companys that have contracts with the government.

The thing is that they (rafa caro, mayo) know who the people that have the real power are. thats how he got out. when he wasnt suposed to. they have deals made since long ago.

the chapitos are doing what ever they want, and mayo lets them, its the same story as to what happend with their father, they go up real high have a few years of glory and get captured.

also, he always has their back because its a deal he made with them so that no one would go after vicente.

  9. Infighting inside a cartel is the dumbest thing any cartel could let happen.Look what it did to CDG , all this while CJNG gets stronger . Only thing CDS has going for it is they control the border states

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Infighting in cdg was different it happened there cause after osiel nobody could control all their groups. With cds they still have their bosses this is just pulling out the weeds getting all the joker's out the way, if mayo and chapos kids were really at war Sinaloa would be burning. What's interesting about this is if rcq is involved

      Delete
    2. A agree, the infighting is a RESULT of CHAPO getting locked up..
If CHAPO was out be would keep these crews in CHECK and THEY would actually LISTEN..
NOBODY cares what MAYO and chapitos order, and their word means little and that's why there's no order in the CARTEL..

    3. @6:08 cjng is losing the war against LNFM and el marro they aint getting stronger @10:19 i strongly agree with you on that

    4. I dont think Chapo and RCQ liked eachother. I would say RCQ is more Beltran then CDS

  10. I tried to tell you guys this from very early on. Don't fall for the hype. There is a lot more going on behind the scenes than everybody sees. In the end run, everybody has to sit back and watch and see who prevails. It is very hard the cleanse certain people out of that area. The familial ties are way too strong. I could make an educated guess to tell you how this is going to turn out, but speculation at this point is what spreading all the rumors.

    1. There has always been infighting even when chapo was out technically with out their head of sicarios or playa bosses they would not be nobody so sometimes they let them go at it can’t pick favorites sometimes like the gladiators who ever is left Alaric’s after the fight wins. Same thing with Manuel Torres and macho prieto

  15. I was told yesterday that Border Patrol was notified along with authorities in Mexico that a group has notified the public in Nogales that if your driving certain vehicles in the Nogales area and they were not identified as friendly mafia vehicles they are gonna shoot them up. Yesterday there was a extra long line of people leaving Nogales coming into the US because if these threats. Vehicles in question were Silverado Trucks and SUV with dark tinted windows.

    1. So they're going to shoot up SUV's with dark windows? They don't have enough ammo for all of them. Glad my business is done in Nogales for now. I have an SUV, black in color, with tinted windows. I passed through there last Friday. I'm not a narco just an American missionary.

  17. traditionally, it isn't factions of Zambadas or Chapitos that are having proxy wars, but families that represent those groups, in sum, and part, having their own age old conflicts that date back decades. Violence hits valleys and peaks as these rivalries fall in and out, Los Salazars, Los Paredes, there's at least a few more.

    thanks for the great reporting

  22. It shouldn't take inside knowledge to understand this scenario. It's been clear for 6 months. Caro knocked off Chapitos people in Sonora and took over. But Chapitos are still good. Caro is moving their weight still along with his own weight and that of CJNG too. This gives him a very strong position.

    4. 10:48 ants steal some oil, in gallon milk jugs, much like poor americans sued to steal a handful of charcoal here and there from trains back in the day, but the whales full of oil stolen in tanker ships from maritime 0latforms and the tanker trucks with green cards that run to tejas all the time are what keeps Mexico down, they do not have peperss, but no problem, that how tejas resupplies its depleted oil wells

  25. I totally understand where the all these problems stem from it's all with the Chapo kids taking over their dads part of the cartel which shouldnt of happened theres only 1 boss an Mayo Zambada it is that's why they lost alot of good men that switched sides to El Mayo seeing how the fuck an I gonna take orders from a kid or kids? I'd feel the same way they didn't build nothing but just inherited it which wasn't theres to inherit but what's belonged to Mayo

    1. Nope they a federation it always been different factions Mayo, chapo, and like nacho

    2. Chapo was the big boss of CDS. You can verify that from all the infighting after his extradition
his escapes and his sons wielding an enormous amount of power within the cartel.
