Midwest City, Oklahoma: José Ángel Ramos Apprehension

Video translation is as follows:
The operation was carried out by DEA agent Colby J. Cason. Who on May 26, 2016 received information from an undercover agent who assured him that José Ángel Ramos would receive 31 kilos of methamphetamine in Oklahoma City.

Equivalent to almost 3 million dollars. 2 days later with authorization from a judge José Ángel's telephone was wiretapped. Initially he was located in hotels in Dallas, Texas.

But by June 1 at 6 a.m. José Ángel was already in Oklahoma. So DEA agents deployed a surveillance operation to track each of his movements.

At noon José Ángel arrived at an IHOP restaurant located in Midwest City, Oklahoma. The agents saw that he was accompanied by another man. Who was later identified as Alejandro Favela Santamaría, his assistant.

Both arrived in a white Jeep Cherokee vehicle with Durango license plates. They left the restaurant 45 minutes later. And they headed to a truck stop an hour away.

There they unloaded the drugs from a tractor trailer. Then they moved to a La Quinta Inn hotel. Where they were arrested in the parking lot by DEA agents.

Who found the methamphetamine. 25 packages of one kilo each. But the agents didn’t  just settle for apprehending José Ángel. An undercover agent accompanied him to complete the delivery to a house in Oklahoma.

Where the drug was received by another hispanic woman. Identified as Guadalupe Ortiz Rodríguez. Who in return handed a black bag with money to José Ángel.

At that time the DEA agents proceeded to arrest them. They calculated that there were more than 70 thousand dollars in the bag. José Ángel and his accomplice were accused of conspiracy and possession of methamphetamine with the intention of distributing it.

    1. While others began the replacement procedure because of this. An endless cycle where demand for consumption remains the issue. Families will continue to suffer and death rates will continue to spike.

      A part of life nowadays.

    5. 25 kilos delivered, for 70 thousand dollars,
where's the 3 million dollar cut come from?

  2. So that’s how he got that sweet 46 month sentence after being caught with kilos upon kilos of ice—Jose Ramos obviously worked out a roadside deal to complete the delivery in exchange for reduced time.

    1. Thers a lot of methamphetamine being sent to Oklahoma it seems like they sent it by tractor trailers because about a year ago ther was a company from California that was sending 50 /100 pounds of meth a week to OKC .

    1. Obviously the dealers are the devils because they sell poison to people knowing they can get those same people addicted to the product they sell. All they gotta do is sell. Then the dope get consumers addicted they already know how it goes!

    1. Yeah these paisas weren't the sharpest tools in the shed and unloading in a truck stop!? This is comedy

    2. That’s the first thing that stuck out from this article. With those plates you won’t even make it across the TX panhandle. Let alone Okc, those troopers are something else.

    3. Saw a new truck with Jalisco plates in SW Colorado a few months back. Not super unusual to see Mexican plates in the Southwest and lower Midwest. There are plenty of families with relatives on both sides of the border and sometimes your Mexican relatives come to visit.

    1. @ 1:08: yes, because we have civil liberties and do not live under a military occupation like the people of Mexico. Or should we throw out the Constitution because it might help cops catch more crims?

    2. 1:08 dat tru, but allowing the drug trafficking deals until the money confiscation is profitable is part of the game.

  7. These guys will probably get the same amount of time or more than the big cartel guys get. Then deported... But the guys organizing his in Mexico will get sweet deals when their time comes. Not that these people don't deserve years in prison but there are guys getting caught with one kilo doing similar time as the bosses.

  8. 70k not worth it for the getting caught with 60 pounds of meth plus all the other dealing charges

    1. If you get a 46-month sentence (aka out in 2), some people might say it is worth it.

    2. 12:28 and his wife most probably got decapitated because of his snitching! His son became a killer and then killed himself causing the Mexican government to investigate his grandparents who had an unexplainable amount of money that has been practically siezed. 3 generations condemned like it says in the Book of Life

  9. "Equivalent to 3 million dollars". Translation- 70 thousand dollars! I understand how they calculate it by multiplying price per single doses but it just sounds absurd! The cost of the investigation was probably more than the value of the bust! Whatever they have to tell themselves and the public to justify their paychecks! They don't care. They have to spend their budgets or they won't get an increase next year.

  12. What needs to be stated is that this is the father of the school shooter in Torreon. He got arrested, snitched, his wife got decapitated, son killed and killed himself, and now parents getting investigated and I assume he will be shortly released since he got arrested in 2016.
