Narcoterrorism resides in Mexico, but Mexico wants no part of the label

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat Reporte Indigo and Proceso

By considering Mexico’s organized crime groups conducting terrorists activities, alike with countries having such activities, could cause an invasion in the national territory by those with the aim of eradicating this crime....Countries such as the United States could intervene in the national territory

The actions against the civil population, which organized crime carries out, has compelled the governor of Tamaulipas, Francisco Javier García Cabeza de Vaca, to deem the actions as  'narcoterrorism'.

Using this term however could have direct consequences on the sovereignty of Mexico.

After a night of narcoblocks in the municipality of Nuevo Laredo Cabeza de Vaca, he called on the Federal Government to face the 'real enemies' using all the instruments that the State has at hand.
There are situations that are generating violence, as they have arisen here. We are not going to cover the sun with a finger: it is the behavior of criminals who want to somehow provoke chaos, panic, insecurity through acts of violence, especially by promoting fear and terror; his behavior is narcoterrorism, it is a very sensitive issue and one has to act accordingly- Javier Cabeza De Vaca governor of Tamaulipas
Before the pronouncement of the governor of Tamaulipas, the Secretary of the Interior, Olga Sánchez Cordero, assured that terrorism, of any kind, does not exist in Mexico.

The official said that the security strategies that the Federal Government launched 'are all terrain' and that they will have to go to all municipalities to act directly.

The president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, also spoke out against the term “terrorism” used by Cabeza de Vaca, in addition to reiterating that he leads the country's security strategy.

In its ‘Law Against Terrorism”  the American nation plans to operate militarily in countries where there are terrorist cells.

In its chapter 'Provisions directed against designated states sponsoring terrorism' the actions that this government could take against the states included in the list of terrorists.

Section 2/21 of that law states that “the president must resort to all necessary means, including covert activities and military force, to hamper, dismantle and destroy the international infrastructure used by international terrorists, including shelters and training facilities of terrorists abroad.

  1. Absent a commitment to arms by Mexico City (amlo) the USA will indeed condemn Mexico as a safe harbor for terrorists. I for one cannot wait to see the narco-rats scurry like cockroaches into the hills once US delta forces storm the plazas to restore peace.

    1. Nah, what's gonna happen is they will all just grab their families, money, and just go live comfortable life's in South america, Europe and even the USA, leaving everyone else to take the brunt of it. Seen it happen a few times with some regional drug lords in my state, after it all goes to shit they jump boat and leave the country, but since they have a shit ton of fertile land, gas stations and other legitimate business under borrowed names here they can still live comfortable affluent life's wherever they are and the government won't do anything about it.

    2. forget "storming" plazas...they will use clandestine recon sniper teams calling in precision airstrikes with hellfire missiles delivered from Predator drones. All those "animo sicario!" convoys are going to get LIT...

    3. I hope so. The citizens need to take back mexico and quit turning their heads the other way when one of their own family members are involved with narcos. Turn their asses in. Remember now they are going after all families even if they have nothing to do with it.

    4. I’d love to see that too lmao but Mexico is a sovereign country that can choose to not accept help from anyone and no country has the right to overlook president Lopez obrador’s wish to hug them instead of exterminating their asses

    5. mexico is being plagued by saboteurs, among them cabeza de cagadas de vacas the tamaulipas governor born in tejas, and javier corral of chihuahua born on the us too, they have been conspiring to get an invasion to make profit for themselves, and in tamaulipas the governor who was promoted in politics by osiel cardenas guillen's money he has been a politician like alvaro uribe velez, he has a war on drugs to eliminate his former partners in crime and uses his own paramilitary and sicarios working as his personal state police.there was the same "terrorism" in chile provoked by the social democrats in cahotos with the chilean army of pinochet and his intelligence services full of torturers and disappering artists thast disappeared thousands of chileans, some are still getting found where chilean general sergio arellano stark buried them, not for nothing governor corral played golf while somebody burned the Le Baron family members.
the mormons have been accused of murdering hundreds of travelers from Boston on their way to California to steal all their belongings in the Mountain Meadow Massacre, Brigham Young even let his son hang for his crimes attributed at the time to some drug trafficking american indian terroristas.

  3. Of course it is terrorism. The Governor is EXACTLY right. "Old time" capos, although I do not approve of their chosen business.....moved drugs- PERIOD. They did NOT kidnapp, charge pizo to taco stands, set up bloqueos, rape, torture and pilage families. They MOVED drugs. Period.

    1. And not only old time capos... Look at drug dealing in the US. They aren't doing those other things either. No excess violence like decapitations, chopping people up, claiming plazas. It's the excessive greed that makes these cartels worse than the "old capos". Do you really have to kill an ungodly amount of people because another drug dealer dares transport his drugs through "your town"?

    2. Yup and they were smart enough not to do the stupid crap thats going on now. They knew better...

    3. 2:32 the governor is a PAN TOOL engaged in sabotage, and that is the bottom line, what follows is they declare their independence and the US declares war to steal another chunk of Mexico, hopefully after all the mexicans in the area leave for Guatemala, because the only reason it has not happened yet is because there are too many mexicans there.

    1. Isn't that what AMLO is trying to do with the exception of the last?

    2. Far from reforming any justice with this approach by AMLO.
Nice try though. When the highest Mexican General involved in the biggest corruption scandal in Mexico's history fails to appear in court.

  5. A continuous disregard for Mexico's citizens by not applying the necessary TAG to these cartels. Hugs and KISSES didn't prevent the death of an official who took part in the apprehension of Olivio. Did it?
To deny the fact of labeling is only reassuring these cartels to continue to do what they do (extort, rob & kill innocent civilians.
    What an inept government.

    2. @4:15 what would be an effective approach to preventing crime?

      Delete
    3. 4:15 an inept government would have had a few dozen collateral casualties that very same day, and hundreds more after, FECAL and EPN had a lot of guts, they fought the US war on drugs by murdering and disappearing hundreds of thusands of innocent mexicans and a few rival cartel members with help of their melitary and poolice, but their drug business continues unabated, the US spent over 36 billion dollars in their war on drugs in Mexico for nothing but more corruption on both sides of the border

Hold all accountable for their involvement by enforcing the laws. Siding with criminals and not serving its constituents is actually aiding and abetting these criminals by all means. PERIOD.

  7. So agree with you. Inept is the choice word for this government. My heart goes out to all the decent hard working people of Mexico. It is the moral obligation of a government to protect its citizens. Oh wait... hugs should take care of this.

  8. Finally! A Governor who is calling it what it truly is.... Terrorism.

AMLO and most of Mexico are in denial, or fear. I would say shame but AMLO, his cabinet, and Senior Military leadership have no shame because their goal is to ruin Mexico.

The morons who voted for morena have more blood on their hands than those who voted for the PAN and PRI in the past few elections.

With American Satellites, Drones, AWACS, signals assets, military advisors, intelligence advisors, and Secret Mexican and or American Black Ops Units, with authorization to capture, and kill Narcos, along with the willingness of Mexico to accept this assistance, the Narco-terrorists could be weakened to the point that they would turn on each other or cut deals to save their skin.

*Due process should not apply to Narcos.

Pinochet and Franco, would not have allowed things to get out of hand like in Mexico.

    3. The United States Army already operated freely in Mexico, all the past governments allowed it and they frowned outright only caused thousands of deaths, that is why AMLO changed the policy, which happens in COLOMBIA USA has 7 military bases and the drug continues to leave, stop saying stupidities that they are going to invade Mexico, the USA and Mexico would become a hell of a hell. Do you think that we are not going to keep our arms crossed? The war would move to its streets and houses, the doors would open to RUSSIA and CHINA and every enemy of the USA I want to fight.

  9. The Tamps governor should not bring so much attention to himself. AMLO already hates the guy and wants all PAN governors gone. And what about his wife's cousin smuggling a million dollars a week into Mexico? That leads me to believe that at least one of the words "narco terrorism" applies to him.

  10. If the US labels them as terrorists, I doubt it would be an all out invasion, that would be too dangerous for Mexico, the people wouldnt like it, they would protest, they would be mad at the Mexican president for not defending the sovereignty of Mexico, Mexicos constitution outlaws foreign armed forces in Mexico and the president would not like the bad image this would bring him, relations could break, Mexico would surely be unstable, worse than now, US Military wouldnt be able to be patrolling being police looking for cartels they would fail in that part, cartels are not stupid, they fight the Mexican military and cops because they know the government doesnt do shit, but they cant and wouldnt be able to treat the us military the same, they know they stand no chance. I am sure that if theyre labeled as terrorist and Military action takes place, we probably wouldn't even hear about it, it would be small covert operations, instead of sending thousands to patrol, they would first identify and locate all leaders plaza bosses, cartel heads, potential replacements and send in an elite team to get them, it would be so secret and fast the cartel would not have time to react, to make commands to burn shit up and prevent backup because by the time they get the news, their boss is already dead or in custody far away. It already happens with DEA, with Mexicos approval, they secretly go in with Mexican Marines dressed as Mexican Marines to remain DL on operations

  11. Most people on here just give opinions based on what’s relevant, and are literally ignorant of Mexico’s history. The principals of the revolution were never fulfilled and were just simply compromised, it was supposed to have
Been a constitutional republic but the constitution is far from being upheld, the last 9 decades the one party rule has turned Mexico into an Autocracy and deeply entangled within it’s greedy elements. How is this being classified as Terrorism when there is Collusion that’s is being ignored? How can a brand new government clean up an almost century of Malevolence, rape, and corruption from its the past government?🤷‍♂️The people are being deceived and fooled by these media outlets that obviously promote their agendas.....We need to wake up....
