Ovidio Guzmán: I’ve got friends in high places

Alfonso Durazo's son, currently in charge of the Secretariat of Citizen Security and Protection, shared classrooms several years ago with Ovidio Guzmán, one of the heirs and offspring of Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, journalist Lourdes Mendoza revealed exclusively.

"Many people won't believe it, but checking the yearbook of a school that would rate @lopezobrador_ as a fifi, everything seems to indicate that they were in the same grade," she wrote on her Twitter account.

According to the data of also the columnist of El Financiero, Ovidio and Durazo's son would have attended the sixth year of primary school together in an exclusive school.

This would have been more than 17 years ago, taking into account the current age of the alleged offender, 28 years old, who is also nicknamed "El Ratón".

Ovidio is the man behind the shootings that put Culiacán on Thursday in a state of siege, after he was intercepted by federal forces at a city address, which triggered clashes between gunmen and uniformed personnel to prevent his arrest.

The Federal Security Cabinet said Friday that Ovidio Guzman, aka 'El Ratón' was not formally detained, although security personnel were in his home, they were ordered to stand down before being able to apprehend him to avoid further casualties, according to the government.

  2. “Ovidio is the man behind the shootings that put Culiacán on Thursday in a state of siege, after he was intercepted by federal forces at a city address, which triggered clashes between gunmen and uniformed personnel to prevent his arrest.”

This statement is completely false. I think it’s pretty logical that it wasn’t ovidio behind the shit show, he was the one detained. No way in hell could he have been the one behind it all. It was Ivan Guzman behind it all. He was the one that mobilized the sicarios in order to rescue him and directed them but of course with mayos support and the various factions that integrate the so called sinaloa cartel. In fact the reason Ivan was caught was because of him negotiating ovidios release and this is what isn’t being reported.
With all due respect I think that before posting bs articles you guys should read them and maybe look into the actual facts of said day. There are various audios from cds hitman going around social media that points to not ovidio being the mastermind but Ivan and also confirming mayos support.
No offense guys. I simply think borderlandbeat should distance themselves from all the media outlets running with the same bs articles that simply aren’t true.

    2. I agree the problem is at this point theres no solid evidence that Ivan ordered everything. Ovidio is the one pictured and on the phone and was released... thats called evidence. What about Alfredo also, where was he in all this?

    3. C'mon...these guys are not reporters. They're posting articles. Situations like this are very fluid. It's not like you could just stream it, or had CNN with aerial footage in real time. The posts were/are updating as quick as possible. These are volunteers with lives outside of this. I see many complaints on these comments, and some even chickenshit abusive, and personal type attacks. Many regular contributors quit because of the abuses they suffer for being an unpaid, VOLUNTEER. You were not abusive, or chickenshit directly. However, you talk like you know where to get the scoops, so instead of bitching publicly, shoot Chivis an email, and give her the "Real Dirt', or sign up, and educate us. They need help, and if you have the scoops, share it. With respect to you.

    4. That is 100 percent true. Factions of El Mayo were kinda forced to help as he did not support the chaos that occured in Culiacan that day. I have heard this story from legit millionaire indoor cannabis growers in Culiacan and people that are close to El Mayo from Estacion Obispo, San Ignacio and El Salado. The only thing that happen is that Los Menores owe El Mayo another favor besides that time they got kidnapped in Zapopan. Thanks...

    5. The mistake you made is to believe the internet. It cost me just a few minutes of my time to make some funny CDS vs CDG,

    6. BB reports news as it comes and they have sources and even post links. You on the other hand are stating rumors you heard from people without any form of validation. At the end of the day who gives a f**k if mayo helped or not. Point is, innocent lives were taken hostage as a defensive measure by the CDs terrorist cowards and were put in jeopardy. If mayo doesn’t feed these kids to the wolves (U.S.) the first chance he gets, then he’s a dipsh*t. These kids haven’t brought anything but heat and trouble. @12:16

  4. Ther is so much more to this story about what really happened in Culiacán:But one thing is that people should really take a good look at everything that’s been going on in Mexico like which states and city’s have been unsafe for ther citizens/police/military and I tell you one thing it ain’t Culiacán,SNL and yes I know that the killings might be higher ther then other states but that’s because it’s cartels so that is different they don’t get involved with others😁most of the time it does happen often but my point is Michoacán,Jalisco,Tamaulipas, have had this same thing what happened in Culiacán a lot of times and worse and the don’t even send anyone 1time is all it took for them to sent ther so called elite

  7. Hopefully, for him saying he haz "friends in high places", he means all the way up to ADX. Which will be his home- sooner than later- maybe he can share a meal with his papa....and they can talk about all the people they told on, and have a good laugh... my mistake- he'll never be able to even touch his dad..this is a conversation they can only have by talking through the pipes late at night after draining the toilet bowls of water..

  10. You got friends in high places? No I don't think so but, when your hoodlums threatened to kill the security guards, families in the military, then it was a stand_down, as ALMO wanted no bloodshed. So I don't think you have friends in high places, but I do know Uncle Sam has a 6x8 hotel room waiting for you. The timing was not feasible, but soon it will happen.
