El Chapo Trial: U.S. Prosecutors say Chapo is fabricating prison treatment to set up an escape

Sharp shooter has MCC prison in sight. Prison break failed after helicopter crashed
If El Chapo entertained the possibility that his accommodations were about to get better after sentencing----the latest filing from U.S. Prosecutors show he is sadly mistaken, read below from NY Post

Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman is only whining about his lack of earplugs and outdoor activity as an elaborate ruse to escape prison ahead of sentencing, according to a new court filing.

Guzman, 61, claimed earlier this month he’d been forced to shove toilet paper in his ears to mask the din of prison, and had nothing but an indoor exercise bike to maintain his physique.

Yet prosecutors say the convicted kingpin never bothered to ask the Bureau of Prisons for such luxuries, which would have been denied anyway due to his extreme security measures.

“In this case, any outdoor exercise time would be particularly problematic for this defendant,” the government writes Brooklyn federal Judge Brian Cogan. “The defendant has successfully planned and executed elaborate escapes from two high-security penal institutions. As detailed at trial, one of the defendant’s escapes involved the construction of a sophisticated, ventilated tunnel that stretched for over a mile. Certainly, an escape via rooftop, using a helicopter, or any related means would be elementary by comparison.”

They even go so far as to cite a 1981 New York Times report about an attempted rooftop jailbreak at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, in which an inmate’s cohorts hijacked a helicopter and rammed it into the wiring atop the prison. The plot was foiled. [Read story here]

As for the earplugs, prosecutors say Guzman wouldn’t be given them anyway, as they’re restricted to prevent inmates from using them as a “ruse to ignore, or pretend not to hear, the guards’ orders.”

Regarding his request for more bottles of water to spare him from the moldy prison pipes, the filings say he is lying — and that prison records show he has been receiving six bottles weekly since April.

Guzman was convicted in February on various drug trafficking charges, and faces life behind bars when sentenced. Sentencing is scheduled for June 25.

Defense attorney Jeffrey Lichtman called the filing “hysterical.”

Chivis Note;Below are two filings, first [bottom] is the defense request and secondly the prosecution  opposition, citing the possibility of escape by helicopter.

    2. Two squares of "tp" a week should suffice, (you can make a hole in the center and make it last longer) and for his own good he better stay away from the commissary junk food, it is too expensive anyway, as for an escape, you can use ear wax to lubricate the handcuffs and escape from the courthouse next time and run como pedo de Indio hasta Badiraguato.

  3. This is laughable from the prosecutors, Chapo wouldn’t be able to escape from an American county jail cell let alone a US prison. He’s done, finished. He’s a legend obviously whether that’s good or bad for you but he’s done. Had his run, now it’s Mencho until he becomes the next one in US custody. Or Mayo.

    1. Pardons are in the works, they include for war criminals, they may then work o former Mexican drug trafficking associates that can then work on electing their own king of the thiefs to the highest office, because they would be the only ones voting for him, remember how Lucky Luciano helped win WW II and got released from prison? Well, there are people working o the WW III, and they are suspected former allies of El Chapo and Co.

    2. Yeah, I know you're being sarcastic, but there have been convicts in the U.S. who were successful in multiple escapes in the U.S. system. Don't act like it doesn't happen. Extreme precautions do need to followed to a t with a high-profile powerful guy like Chapo. Once, he's at the Super-max in Florence he should be pretty secured though. No escapes have ever happened there. Even then they'll always watch him close and still they're likely to take special precautions and add new measures so he isn't the first.

  5. Lets be real here i know he's from a cartel and what not but ther has been alot worse inmates or the same like chapo like Mob bosses in the united states and they werent treated like this shit Graciela blanco was like a chapo and she would pay $1000 to have sex in a closet on visit day.and alot of things in chapos trial would have got anyone else a new trial im not taking chapos side or anything but people always talk about mexicos sytem the united states aint no better when they do things that aint giving the person a fair trial but i guess the law is diffrent since trump is presidnt they make ther own laws pretty soon if it keeps up like this we aint even going to need a court system

There were a lot of people who did not want to have him talking, while Sammy the Bull Grabanos got sent to retirement in Arizona where he could connect quick and start again. And he did.

You are in prison in America... if you wanted more water than the others you should have stayed in a Mexican jail that you controlled or at least influenced.

The overall design is to be punishment & outdoors activity request: are you interest in a youth size basketball goal?

Hold on, wait, oh I see now this federal document says You are IN prison not some park in DF.

June 25 when his sentence is given. Expect super-max isolation.

  16. You wanted him, USA. Now that you have him treat him like the human he is!!!! The federal system in the USA takes very good care of kid killers and worst, so you should damn well be able to handle a drug dealer or two. Buy him some damn ear plugs, you cheap sob's!!!

    1. Mr.825 and others that have simpathy for the convicted criminal. A fair trail transpired, jury was present, all went fine, Chapo has a history of escaping, therefore he will be put in a max prison, in which all rules apply to inmates. America is happy he is in prison, and America is happy he is serving his time.

  20. Its not even the guards and local police chapo should be worried about its the CIA. He was once a valuable asset to the central intelligence agency but when he stopped playing ball they captured him they could have very easily shot him. Chapo should be thankful he’s still alive and quit complaining. Pablo Escobar wasnt so lucky.

  21. if the peewee bitch would just hang himself already

  22. Chapo is obviously a unique person with unique circumstances. To wield all the power and control over who lives and dies for his entire adult life, forty years plus, and to go from that to no power. To have totally anonymous nobody's (in the real world let's face it!) dictate when he can clean himself with a shower, watch a black and white television, get any sunlight, eat, exercise in outdoor air, etc. That shift in a person's circumstances would just buckle the knees. He'll be riding on memories of his past glories until he dies. He's had so many though, maybe it would be enough to keep him going. Is his new situation superior to death? In my opionion that's pretty debatable.
