Man arrested in Tijuana with grenade launchers, grenades, assault rifles

In different operations, the State Preventive Police (PEP) arrested a man who was carrying 30 packages of drugs in Rosarito, while in Tijuana a man was arrested carrying 9 assault rifles, 2 grenade launchers and 9 grenades,

On Friday, March 8, on Calle Guadalupe Morales at the address of number 10264 of the Colonia Libertador Expansion Extension of the municipality of Rosarito, a man who identified himself as 28-year-old Aurelio Sánchez was stopped in a car. Trail Blazer 2003, in which 30 packages wrapped in brown tape were located, each weighing approximately one kilo. The PGR will perform the relevant analysis to determine if the substance of the drug is fentanyl or cocaine.


The second capture was made by the PEP in coordination with elements of the Ministry of National Defense, on Sunday, March 10, on Jazmin Avenue in front of number 11124 of the Terrazas de la Presa subdivision where Edgardo Romero was arrested in possession of; 2 grenade launchers; 6 fragmentation grenades; 3 grenades 40 mm; 9 assault rifles; 3 silencers; 4 bulletproof vests; and multiple cartridges and chargers.

The aforementioned address was secured pending a search warrant, given the presumption that more weapons may be stored inside.

  3. I love that they give suspected criminals names and address’ but black out their eyes on a mug shot. I guess it actually is consistent in relation to how the rest of the legal system works in mex.

  4. I wish USA could enter Mexico and start arresting every single corrupt politician !! Lock up these wealthy politicians who are actually supporting and enabling the poverty and violence. Lock up Enrique Peña Nieto just like they are going to lock up el chapo . No more impunity for corrupt government in Mexico! When is America going to do something ???
