El Chapo Trial: Chapo letter to the court regarding possible jury misconduct [Vice interview]

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat

Update from the courtORDER granting Defense Motion for Extension of Time until March 28, 2019 to file a motion for new trial as to Joaquin Archivaldo Guzman Loera. Ordered by Judge Brian M. Cogan

Because the Rules of Criminal Procedure require a motion for a new trial to be filed within 14 days of the verdict, this letter simply requests 30 days to file the motion.

      "you can't indict the presidentes"
Specially when legislators, politicians, their friends and their minions are all in the same shit bag...

    2. @9:31 investigating the jury

    3. 9:24 investigating jurors is easy,
      and often inconsequential,
      look at the OJ jurors,
This may be a break the US government is giving El Chapo to keep him quiet about past and present US associates while he keeps fighting without demanding their testifying

  2. Clutching at straws. No one in their right mind can expect anyone to not look stuff up in this day and age. Only when the defense can prove that exposure to media content has actually influenced the jury's ruling, will they have any chance of a retrial, I reckon. If not: the jury members will become the focus of attention. Something most of them have wanted to avoid like the plague. I reckon they are not so very happy with mr. Vice interview guy ...

    1. jose you are not understanding. VERY unlikely the gov would be allowed to spend the money they did in the first trial. typically they negotiate a deal

it has zero to do with evidence.

    2. What if Chapo doesn’t want the deal tho his lawyer said he won’t be cooperating !!!

    2. *was*

They used to post dope content. Taboo, unknown juicy info that goes down in foreign countries, black market business, drugs, exposures of politics and elite class. I don't know. It was dope. Now it's all LGBTQ 😣 As of I'd say, 5 or 6 years ago 😪

  14. The government should let him know he’s a piece of trash and sentence him to instant death

  15. So what. Nutthugers say Chapo will be free because of this shit. Wrong!
Chapo has charges pending across at least 6 other states meaning that if his damn trial is nulled in NYC because of any wrongdoing he is still going to be extradited to one of the other states to face charges.
    So long Chaps.

  19. Rather, how much more of taxpayers money will bleed before this clown is where he needs to be?
As if he has a chance of going back to Mexico to do what he does best. Mocking Mexican authorities and continuing to poison our communities.
American justice department will never let that happen. Go to your cell and suck it up Chapo.
