Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat

On Friday that armed men had assaulted police from a private security company, who were dropping off money at Santander Bank's ATM, leaving two custodians wounded by firearms.

Just released is the video of a security camera that captured  the hallway where a robbery of one million pesos occurred at an ATM in Plaza Diamante and left two security agents injured.

The video, which lasts 32 seconds and just circulated on social networks, shows the faces of five men with hand guns and one AK47.  They shoot and flee with the bag containing the money.

It also shows two men were in one of the restaurants waiting for the robbery to commence,  then getting up from the table throwing chairs and helping their accomplices flee.
In the video, one can see the tourists and acapulqueños were in the commercial plaza taking cover.

  2. This again is in the tourist zone and high end residential zone of diamanté. The diamond zone which people claim is safe. As you can see it’s not. The fact they don’t attempt to hide their faces shows you how inept security is in Acapulco. Acapulco has platoons of military state and local and tourist police everywhere yet crime continues to rise. How on earth can’t They ever catch these guys.

  4. If you walk into malls in tijuana, there are armed guards walking around with automatic weapons. The guards were probably paid off at this mall to be out for lunch...

  8. I try to avoid Mega Comercia, where this took place. CFE (power)and CAMPAMA (water),have offices in this shopping center.

Across the street is Walmart, it is better to pay $5 pesos to park, much safer.

My friend who was in the shopping center when the gunfire occurred said there was nothing on the news about it.
