Attorney General of Quintana Roo says CJNG's responsible for the Cancun attack that killed 5

Chivis Martinez for Borderland Beat article from Proceso  backstory link here

The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) confirms that hitmen of the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) attacked a group of fishermen and three elements of the Ministerial Police (PM) that were in a local seafood store, located in Puerto Juarez and Punta Sam, leaving five dead and three injured.

It also established that it was a command of five or six subjects perpetuating the attack.

It is established that Commander Héctor and Officer Juan Carlos, ministerial elements attached to Isla Mujeres, after their workday returned to land in a private boat and disembarked at the fish wharf and shellfish trading company, which minutes later was the scene of the deadly attack.

Héctor and Juan Carlos chose were there to purchase fish.

At the site, were a dozen fishermen who had come to receive payment for the products they had sold, to the vendor during this.  The site also has a restaurant and a small "marina" in contiguous lots on this narrow road, north of Cancun.

On the second floor of the premises were the fishermen waiting for payment and the policemen.

Suddenly, two subjects began to argue, one, "an obese” man around 60 years old, and another "tall and white with a Cuban accent.”

The subject with a Cuban accent was disturbed about the presence of the police.

A few minutes later, a commando broke into the premises and climbed to the second floor. The gunmen began shooting, the also targeting the beach.

Amid the chaos, the police responded with their weapons and  tried to flee.

Four people were murdered on the second floor of the premises, including Officer Juan Carlos and one on the beach. The "commander" Hector "managed to flee.

The main hypothesis of the attack is that this coastal strip is controlled by the Jalisco Cartel and one of the commanders of this criminal cell, objected to the presence of police..

With bursts of short and long weapons, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel marked its territory.
Found In the building,  were 105 casings of five different calibers.

  2. First time I have heard an authority suggest that CJNG owned the shoreline. It's ironic that a large Navy base is directly across on Isla.

    1. 10:52 THAT "NAVY BASE" may be the root problem, the influence of the mexican marinas grew since FECAL started his "war ON drugs" on behalf of the US that has decimated innocent Mexicans by more than a quarter of a million, and the Mexican "navy" has taken to believing their own hero bullshit as their greed grow with their inflated egos...
That happened to the Argentinian Armada and the Chilean too, and to the SEALS of the US, too much ill gotten fame.

    1. QUintana Roo governor Mario Villanueva returned to Mexico after years in US prison, and governor Roberto Borger will soon be extradited back to Mexico from Panamá, they should know how corruption works in the state and who is really behind all the new age murdering, maybe the new governor trying to exact his pound of flesh and imposing his own brand of state police for his own benefit, it is hard enough to exploit a one street town without checkpoints manned by municipales, so they are kept in the police station shining their bicicletas.
