The federal government arrested Emilio Alexandro "N", "El Sobrino ", a member of the Jalisco Cartel Nueva Generación (CJNG), on June 19 ,who, according to the authorities, participated in the attack against former Secretary of Labor and ex-attorney general of Jalisco, Luis Carlos Nájera Gutiérrez de Velasco , last May 21.

"El Sobrino" is also investigated for kidnappings and homicides of different people in the municipalities of Amatitán, Jalisco, and Jala, Nayarit, during November and December of 2017.

The investigation lines of the PGR indicate that Emilio Alexandro "N" was a link of the main structure of the criminal group, an organization for which he obtained information on the operations that would be carried out by federal and state authorities.

In addition, "El Sobrino", close to "Tony Montana" , brother of Rubén Oseguera Cervantes "El Mencho", is investigated for the sale and distribution of narcotics and cigars in Jalisco. "Tony" Cervantes went to prison in Dec. 2015

The Criminal Investigation Agency, in coordination with the Deputy Attorney General specialized in Investigation of Organized Crime and the Secretariat of National Defense, after completing a search warrant, located and later detained in a building located in the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco, Emilio Alexandro, "explained Emilio Garcia Ruiz, general director of Police Investigation in Support of Commandments of the AIC.

During the operation the elements confiscated a 0.223 caliber long weapon, various chargers, cartridges of different calibers, approximately one kilogram of narcotic drug with the characteristics of methamphetamine and two luxury vehicles.

He was linked to prosecution for crimes against health, as well as possession of firearms, cartridges and chargers for the exclusive use of the armed forces.

In addition, the federal judge set a deadline of two months for the completion of the supplementary investigation and determined as precautionary measure preventive detention for Emilio Alexandro "N", who is being held in the Federal Center for Social Readaptation Number 2, located in Puente Grande , Jalisco.

12 gunmen attacked the State of Jalisco's Labor Secretary in Guadalajara:

Governor of Jalisco Sandoval, left, and Labor Secretary Nájera.

Several were people wounded, six suspects arrested after attack outside a city center restaurant on May 22, 2018

One of Mexico’s principal drug cartels , CJNG, as been blamed for an attack in late May on the former attorney general of Jalisco that was followed by gunfire and narco-blockades on the streets of Guadalajara.

An estimated 12 armed civilians opened fire on Labor Secretary Luis Carlos Nájera, who was Jalisco State's Attorney General between 2013 and 2015, when he and his bodyguards left a downtown restaurant a few minutes after 5:00pm.

Nájera had noticed the arrival of two people he thought looked suspicious and advised his bodyguards to have his armored SUV ready at the door. “That’s what saved my life,” he said later. He also said he had recognized one of the men as a member of a criminal gang with suspected ties to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, or CJNG.

As Nájera and his security detail left the establishment, the gunmen opened fire. Nájera’s vehicle bore the brunt of the gunfire and gave the bodyguards a chance to fire back.

Two Single Command police officers were on patrol in the vicinity and joined the gunfight, forcing the attackers to flee.

No one was killed in the exchange of gunfire but several people were wounded. Among them were two young girls selling candy outside the restaurant, Nájera, who was struck by a bullet in the hand, and three agents from the state prosecutor’s office, one of whom was reported in serious condition. Four of the attackers were also hurt.

A search yielded one of the attackers’ vehicles was located by state security forces, triggering a car chase and more gunfire following which two men were arrested.

Governor Aristóteles Sandoval Díaz later reported that six men in total were arrested and an arsenal of weapons confiscated.

The arrests set off retaliatory actions by criminal elements later in the evening. A car and two city buses were hijacked and set on fire about 8:00 pm to create roadblocks at three locations. A mother and her infant child were wounded in gunfire that followed.

Governor Sandoval said last night the aggression was reaction by the CJNG to his administration’s efforts to fight the cartel, a fight that has cost the lives of police officers and threats against government officials.

However, Nájera said he had not been threatened prior to the attack.

Sandoval said Nájera was targeted because he had played a key role as attorney general in combating drug trafficking.

    7. Relax fella...it was a simple question. Narcorridos are dying because people know that most of the shit they sing about are lies. Only a handful of "empecherados" have gone out guns ablazing. Most just give up without making any noise.

  6. There is more Sinaloa people in prison but that doesn't stop their cartel, only a fraction. The biggest blow to cds was beltranes and cjng braking away from that cartel but yet they are still active. It's going to take 100's if not 1000's to break an international cartel. It's just a big show

    2. CDS is or was a internenational cartel as you refer to CJNG so they not special or above any they can fall the same or faster.

    3. Not true. Sinaloa is led by multiple people. This cartel is led by Mencho. Cuinis are just allies and financial support

    4. Cjng breaking away from who?? Cjng was never ever part of sinaloa, they might of had agreements but never a wing of them, let me make that very clear!

    5. @chema lets just say that mencho would jump if nacho coronel told him to jump. dont kid yourself . I wouldnt be suprised if the capo behind mencho behind the scenes the real boss of mencho was rafael caro quintero . For your information CDS operates in 40 countries around the world and CJNG in 14 if you think a rookie cartel like CJNG has more money and power than CDS your very wrong and delusional

    7. La Nacha Coronel was CDS until his demise,
then La Mencha took over, but he may have engineered the killing of la Nacha as his price for having the Mexican government and military to back him up, then went on his own way of the deal...until lately, the government is trying to clean him out.

    8. Nacho coronel was menchos boss at one point but Mencho went independent after his death. Your on some good stuff thinking Caro quintero is menchos boss though lol sinaloa and cjng were allies but both had their people. Cds ended up losing when mencho took his people and even some from cds and went to war with them. Cds fan boys will say it's not true but they never agree with resent articles lol
