Operativo Escudo Titán: Mexicali, BC Nets 350 K’s of Meth and More

Translated by Yaqui for Borderland Beat from: 20 Minutos

More Meth Heading North Towards the US/Mexico Border
May 18, 2018

As a result of Operation Escudo Titan,  ie Titan Shield, the Mexican Federal Police secures 352
kilos of methamphetamine hydrochloride, 546 grams of opium gum and 987 grams of fentanyl in the municipality of Mexicali, Baja California on Tuesday May 15, 2018.

In a statement, the National Security Commission reported that the drug seizure was carried out as part of the crime prevention and deterrence work in that entity, where Federal Police patrolled the San Felipe - Puertecitos Federal Highway #5 in the municipality of Mexicali, south of the border city of Mexicali in Ejido Plan National Agrario.

The driver of a light utility truck made maneuvers to enter a dirt road, which gave rise to a persecution when the driver saw the Federal Police following him; meters later, the crew members fled into the brush and left the vehicle abandoned.

A Typical Scene on and off the San Felipe - Puertecitos section of the Federal Hgwy #5
along with plenty of clandestine airstrips and deserted fish camps

The federal elements proceeded to inspect the unit, where hundreds of  transparent plastic food containers were secured, ie 623, distributed in sacks, cardboard boxes and bundles.

The Agent of the Public Ministry of the Federation continues with the corresponding investigations.
This action is added to the 250 kilograms of methamphetamine secured in the same entity, which were hidden in the base of the platform of a semi-trailer last week or so.

    1. 3:45 too late, that shit is taken,
The point is to make points where it counts, show some dope caught and confiscated and get some billions of dollars from the US for 2019 fiscal year, which starts this summer.
--I see all that jungle where the dope truck drivers "got lost", the jungles of SE Asia pale in comparison...

  3. Pretty sure the driver of the abandoned vehicle will be held accountable for the loss. Falling victim to the dirty unforgiving drug game. Like those who have become victims by addiction. That’s the irony of such an association. If one really looks!

    1. Obviously want to preface by saying I wasnt involved in this event in any way - neither LE nor in the employ of the previous owners (ALSO wouldnt be surprised, if not much action going down, if the LEO's are the "previous owners" so to speak, and said mercancia wasn't outright gathered up/taken outta the LE's seizures/evidence locker and planted to make a good showing for the press)....

But I'm definitely leaning toward this being:

      - a bone tossed to the LE from the previous owners, to either let the real load pass through,

-or again let the cops/gov't make a good showing in the eyes of media & DEA.

      -Or both..

  8. I am curious about one thing. How much meth does a city like bakersfield consume in one day? Or california just in one day? The US? These facts would be interesting and bring the meth epidemic home in a different way. How about it armchair experts.

    1. 50 kilos a day

      Delete
    2. Well curious George 100 pounds a day in Bakersfield, and entire California 1000 pounds a day. Also the weather will be 79 degrees in Bakersfield,we are. Below 6 than normal.

      Delete
    3. More then that for a fact, not too long ago they made a bust of over 100lbs of meth in Dinuba and London.

      Delete
    4. Bakersfield is all CDS and all the surrounding towns like Waco, Shafter, McFarland and so on. Antrax pushing a lot of dope into southern Central Valley. Y_este_es or alpha one look him up on IG he’s chinos successor.

      Delete
    5. 5:58pm. Just do not mention Anthrax just because you think the name sounds cool. Cringe. You are right Bakersfield, Tulare, Fresno, Madera, Stockton are major hubs for Sinaloa but also other cartels too.

      Delete
    6. Consumption, actual use; in my opinion, 10k a day which is 10,000 grams and if you apply 10,000 addicts in Bakersfield since 1g is a lot. Units sold for distribution: 100-150k arrive on avg./day, from Southern California. Just my opinion. I have known of people getting 40/day about 3 times a month. So it is not that off for that City and it's population

      Delete
    7. That's about right...in Tacoma they est. About 2-3lbs of meth a day, and about 6-8 lbs of smack a day. 50-60 lbs a day of legal pot is purchased a day in a city of about 250,000 incl. Surrounding communities. I live in a rural area, and the % per capita is double that. Throw Portland, Seattle, and Spokane, and we are very close to your #'s. This whole Pacific Northwest Region is littered with needles. It's sick. I grew up near San Jose, Ca. And the heroin and meth problem seems much more prevalent. Less people, but higher % are on meth or heroin. It's very sad.

    8. Any idea on daily/weekly or monthly usage of boy in ATL, just curious

      Delete
    9. - "boy" being the term used down south for smack/h/blows/etc(not "blow" which is what we call coke down south - AFAIK "blows" is a common term for h to yall yankees up north)

    1. Saludos E42....all well up here...hope Chivis is well...this stuff is getting worse and worse. I thought that huge semi load the cops got up here a few weeks ago, would slow the flow up here....nope...even more. A LE detective told me a few days ago, that CDS and Chapo Isidro bring allot of dope up to Vancouver BC, and SE Alaska and then into Portland, and Seattle, and Tacoma by commercial ship. Our Ports in Wa, especially Tacoma have grown so big, they rarely catch anyone. I weep for our countries....

  17. sometimes i wonder if siezures are staged. Just another tactic used in this dirty drug war. Propaganda is very effictive as sheep and wolf is the order of life. As we have seen in recent posts, local political power is intertwined with the underworld.

    1. Sure, they are controlled seizures. Then they transfer the load to Volaris, pay off some higher ups, then have US border patrol take it across undeterred by any outside intrusions....

    2. im so relieved 9:09.. i was loosing sleep and watching re- runs of AGT . Oooo wait let the druggies on the USA sidewalks sleeping under the bridge have a word on this " confiscated load".

    3. Good point, in this day and age any spectacular event presented by government/MSM is usually questionable or perhaps a "false flag" so I'd expect drug seizures to follow suit.
