Tamaulipas: Six bystanders killed in Reynosa shootout

Chivis Martinez for Borderland Beat  Translated and Republished from El Norte

The State reports that six innocent bystanders were killed in a crossfire. Although policemen would have participated, Procuraduría blamed only the criminals involved.  This is not the first to be killed in the same manner, this is the fourth incident  in a few weeks.  Last time witnesses said it was the Marina that killed the innocents.

REYNOSA .- The innocent population is paying for the resurgence of violence on this border.

In the fourth similar incident since Easter, six innocents died and another was seriously wounded on Wednesday, in a crossfire between gunmen in the Colonia Petrolera de Reynosa, the Tamaulipas Attorney's Office reported last night.

Although the shooting was recorded on Wednesday afternoon, the authorities did not report the deaths of civilians until last night after relatives went to identify their loved ones at the Forensic Medical Service yesterday.

During the violent day of Wednesday, state police confronted gunmen in the area, but the Attorney General's office stated that the innocents were victims of "an armed confrontation between criminal groups."
Security sources said that state agents would have participated in the crossfire.

The state agency said that four men and two innocent women died.

Three of the victims worked at the same company and three more were members of a family who were in the street at the time of the shooting.

"One of the first tests carried out on the victims, in addition to the autopsy, was sodium radizonate, which was negative [for gunshot residue], so it was determined that no guns were fired and they were not part of the confrontation," the Attorney General said.

According to testimonies gathered yesterday, the members of the deceased family are Teresa Sánchez Presa, 62 years old; his daughter Maribel Roque Sánchez, 36, and his grandson, Sergio Guadalupe Roque Martínez, 19, and a student at the UAT.

In the UAT Aztlán caused great commotion the death of Sergio, since he was an excellent student and worked as a member of a popular mariachi band.

Two of the men who worked in the company were identified as José Alfredo Vargas Dueñas and Israel Rodolfo Alcaraz González, while until last night the name of the third victim had not been disclosed.

The man who is serious would be Ángel Peña Calderón, who was shot in the eye.

In addition to these six deaths, at least five other innocents have died in Reynosa and Nuevo Laredo since March 25, in the midst of three shootings of gunmen and official forces.

It is amazing that NO NARCOS WERE KILLED OR WOUNDED by the polesias repelling "the aggression"...
And it is even more amazing that no officer of the polesia was hit, killed or wounded, by the evil ambushing narcos BS.

    1. I lived in mante for a few months back when Ricky and pugas were in control, it was fucking brutal man, so many people getting kidnapped and “desaparecidos” the strip of ejidos south of mante were full of halcones and kidnappers and so was the city you had to go indoors after 8pm. Mf dumped his own men on acid, the ones that betrayed him or kept money from him. Only good thing about all this was that between all the chaos there was people that were on the Marinas side keeping them informed too (forced but still) Many relocated to mty after he got caught. Wild times. Cheers! I should probably make an account later.

    3. I know Mante as a gringo tourist in those days and happened to be there when Zetas announced their presence in a motorcade of trucks with letter Z taped or with white shoe polish on tge side of their trucks passing thru the main drag. Very intimidating. Shortly after bodies dumped in different places. Xico is scairy place to travel through for our family to this day. Hope Ricky suffers in prison

    4. It's crazy how some of us live in the us bullshitting around all our time on social media, easy to say something online or behind the screen when in real life its fucking no games in tamaulipas. Mante, reynosa, san Fernando and Victoria is like going to knock in satans door. Some probably will never feel that feeling when you are there but just wanted to say how lucky we are

    5. Could all cartels be involved in organ smuggling?

Well like 15+ years ago a 18 wheeler crash and flipped causing the load to spread throughout the highway. Organs were found Mexican authorities suspect they were headed to the US. This happened in southern Coahuila.

    6. Remember the heartbreaking case of Raquel Gutierrez Ruiz, her family have searched endlessly for her since she was secuestrado(Zetas)and has never been seen since,18 she was, just to illustrate 1 case of 100s of young girls taken and vanished.Varo Pugas atty pop was executed in Jan this year the whole family are involved,El Arqui is caught,El Shagui Bravo1 is dead,Oaxaco caught,Bravo7,still out,RogerRojo?,Rex caught,Wero74? these are the kinds of people who should pay a higher price,im not talking justice bollocks,im talking an eye for an eye call it whatever you like, people like this have gone beyond the pail, death for wanton serial killers

  6. The autopsy can’t determine who and or what weapon was used to kill the six victims? The alleged gunmen all got away? Police confronted gunmen in the area... so who fired first? Policemen would have participated or did participate? I assume both sides are blaming each other for the killings but no one is sure who actually killed them? Since March 25 others have been killed in shootouts between police and criminals but no one knows which side killed them either? Last time this happened bystanders blamed the marina for the killings... ok so is that accurate? Who in the hell is investigating these crimes...

  7. Looks like The crooked mx cop used that child as cover. No signs of First aid. Nothing. These paid Cops just started a Shooting and did not even care when bystanders got killed. I could not eat that much i would like to vomit as we say here.
    Very sad....

A friend deported was stabbed to death at club that he worked at in NP a few years back. Good guy. Spoke perfect english. He used to hand out flyers for a strip club. Dont remember his name. But he is gone. Peace A. Zapata

  9. Mexico is a lawless land of death. Daily massacres and slaughters of the innocent. Mexican children have no future. The future generation is growing up amongst the ever growing rotting corpses of their fellow innocent citizens, knowing they or their family might be next.

  13. Why would you use a sniper scope and rails on a light weight/short barrel carbine like all these ugly generic m4?
At least the M16A2/A4 has a real barrel which will put a good use for that scope and rails at targets at 500-600m at least. But now everyone thinks they're all navyseals super ninjas who are going to always get close and personal with perfect executions (that really worked in Afghanistan with those tacticool m4 engaging farmers with old Enfield WWII rifles at 800 meters, right?) I don't get why the Mexican feds/soldiers traded real rifles like fnfals and G3 for plastic jamming Colt garbage.

    1. Dude, when it gets right down to it Firearms are not for the aesthetics of nice kills or perfect hits at ranges of 800 meters etc, they are for killing motherfuckers in whatever form, spray and pray, skulls deflated, perforated bodies,i guess we know what you mean, but firearms"are used"by us dudes to kill each other(not blaming guns),period.Do you think many of these guys give a fuck about jamming, cleaning, protecting it,nah man,the more pieces of lead it spits at us,the more badass with silly rails(hang your car key off it?)the more excited we get,but your point is valid however?
