Jose Luis Gutierrez Valencia, who organized a narco party in the Puente Grande prison in 2013, died in a gunfight with the Mexican Marines at Rancho La Esperanza in Jalisco

Reporter: Milenio Digital
Ten days after being freed from the Puente Grande prison, Jose Luis Gutierrez Valencia, Don Chelo, alleged member of the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion died during a confrontation with the Secretary of the Marines on a ranch in Tonala, informed sources from the Attorney Generals Office of Jalisco.

Around 03:00 am, Marines carried out an operation on the La Esperanza ranch and had a confrontation with armed men, that left two Marine elements wounded and three civilians dead, among them Don Chelo.

On the 9th of May, Milenio published fragments of a video of two hours duration of a party organized in 2013 inside the Puente Grande prison organized by Don Chelo who during the years of his incarceration controlled the prison.

Don Chelo dead
One of the members of Los Buchones de Culiacan, a band that played at the party, grabbed the mic and said: " Viva Jalisco Nueva Generacion", while the prisoners shouted and applauded. One day after, the then Attorney General of Jalisco, Eduardo Almaguer, said that Don Chelo, doesn't have any privileges and does not control the prison of Puente Grande.

He explained that in July of 2015, when he took office, there were 6200 inmates at the prison, despite only having an official capacity for 2744.

The narco party, he explained, was carried out in 2013 with the permission of the head of custody of that prison, Enrique Huerta Balcazar, who was fired on November 21st of that year, for committing various irregularities in his functions.

Unofficial sources say that Don Chelo is the father of the partner of Ruben Oseguera, son of Nemesio Osegura, El Mencho, leader of the CJNG. He was released on 24th of November by a Judge of the Third District after being absolved of the crimes of carrying arms for the exclusive use of the armed forces, possession of grenades, and corruption of minors.

In the ranch where Don Chelo of the CJNG was killed, a 9mm weapon bathed in gold was found with the San Judas Tadeo ( The Saint of Difficult Causes) engraved on the handle.

Reporter: Jorge Martinez
At the La Esperanza Ranch, in Tonala, where Jose Luis Gutierrez Valencia, El Ojo de Vidrio, Don Chelo or El 77, was killed, five firearms were found that caught the attention of the Federal Authorities.

Milenio Jalisco had access to a photograph showing six 9mm pistols, two of the them gold plated. A source consulted confirmed that the gold pistol that has the figure of San Judas Tadeo engraved on the handle was the personal weapon of Don Chelo.

The second gold pistol has the coat of arms of the Ferrari brand, as well as embossed engravings, the third has diamond inlays on the handles and is black.

The fourth is brown and is striking because it has engraved on the slide, near the ejection port, Luis Vuitton, and also has a skull on the handles.

It was also reported that among the exotic animals seized on the farm was a male Bengal Tiger and seven birds. The source also said that La Esperanza, where El Ojo de Vidrio was hiding, is in the name of a Puente Grande prison officer.

On Tuesday afternoon, the body of Gutierrez Valencia was claimed by his relatives from the Jalisco Institute for Forensic Sciences.

A woman who identified herself as the daughter of Gutierrez Valencia went to the State Prosecutors Office and said that she learned from the media about her fathers death. The post mortem carried out on the corpse reported that gunshot wounds were the cause of death.

What is it about Mexican men and the need to pull down another man's pants??

I have never seen the indictments for "murder" that would merit a death penalty that probably has nevrr existed in mexico at least since Don Benito Juarez had Maximiliano de Habsburgo and his mexican go-fer dogs Miramonte y Mejia executed by firing squad, oh, "la Cucaracha" giniral victorian huerta chief minister of defense for president Francisco I Madero also executed a pinochetazo on Madero and his brother Gustavo and senator francisco leon de la barra, but Pancho Villa took care of his ass, upon stealing the mexican revolution, president Alvaro Obregon got executed, by religious extremists, but no more death penalty on the books, all extra-judiciary now, the mexican narco government is the principal practitionist, off the books, all clandestine mass graves like the corrupt assholes they are.

They certainly seem to be the only forces sent in against high priority targets. They were the only ones to receive black hawk helicopters as part of the Merida initiative at the start. When you look at nearly all the capos captured in the last few years you see Marines presence.

I know that several charges had been dismissed against him and he was close to regaining his freedom but last I heard he was still locked up in a Oaxaca. Speaking of that, does anybody believe the rumors about CDS taking Menchito hostage in prison after Los Chapitos were kidnapped. I think the rumor mill said Don Mayo had Menchito taken hostage inside prison and Los Chapitos and control of some plazas and Narco tunnels were given to Mencho and CJNG.
