El Vic , Financial Operator of El Chapos sons arrested in Santa Fe

Translated by Otis B Fly-Wheel for Borderland Beat from a Milenio article

Subject Matter: Victor Manuel Felix Beltran, El Vic
Recommendation: No prior subject matter knowledge required

Reporter: Jorge Becerrill
This morning in a fraccionamiento of Sante Fe, Victor Manuel Felix Beltran, alias El Vic, identified as a principal financial operator of the sons of El Chapo Guzman was detained. He is allegedly responsible for the transit of heroin to the United States.

Elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency detained El Vic, in a luxury franccionamiento, located at kilometer 16 of the Mexico - Toluca highway, in the limits of the delegations of Cuajimalpa and Alvaro Obregon.

The operation started at one in the morning and the alleged criminal was detained without a shot being fired. Minutes before 6 am, El Vic, 30 years of age, was transferred under a strong security operation to SEIDO.

The principal zones of operation of El Vic were Culiacan, Sinaloa; Zapopan, Jalisco: and City of Mexico.

Felix Beltran, originally from Sinaloa, operated under the identity of Francisco Esparza Rangel to acquire properties, vehicles and businesses, obtaining diverse properties under various false names. It should be noted that El Vic was at the La Leche restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco on August 15th 2016, with El Chapos sons when he was kidnapped along with them.

    1. Yes Otis thank you. I wonder if Ivan is giving up one of his finance managers to make government look good or if maybe MZ is reorganizing. Maybe neither and DEA track him and almost force gob to capture Víctor Manuel?

    2. Maybe, maybe, maybe, but maybe cds is going down. Maybe he got snitched on like many cds capos so chapos can stay on top

    3. This guy is alfredos brother in law so victor was really close to chapos sons

    4. 11:51. That’s exactly what it was. CDS has everyone looking in the other direction so well right now that I guess they needed to give up something just to look like EPN is putting pressure on them. The government (politicians) will likely confiscate several million from this, Vic will do a little time in a nice cell and then get to go back to Culiacan with enough wealth to enjoy for life. Pretty good gig for lil-Vic!

  2. Captures like this for CDS are few and in between which is it has little impact on overall CDS operations. Nice effort to make it sound that authorities are cracking down on this cartel though.

    4. 11:53 common like everybody has those last names in Sinaloa, so common that you see cartel people with them all the time

    5. 11:53 Very true. Lizarraga, Beltran, Felix, Valdez, Pérez, Castro, Carrillo and Valenzuela are families throughout la Sierra of Sinaloa and they are not people who would choose investment or work with contrabando!

Those are big families but you left out a lot and two very important ones.

    1. Of course. All the kids did was flash and spend money
Granted there are multiple financial accountant operators, couldn't be a surprise if the kids had their own to control, balance, and keep track of their spending. And as kids of importance, they likely exercised control of their own financial accountants, hence the labels for themselves from their own doing

    5. 6:15 There are many men and family here that work and invest in contrabando for many years and even generations without the attention of USA or any problems from our gob in Mexico. I know this is true in Jalisco too and I do not doubt Tamps, NL and other places have long worked in this business quietly and with little attention.
I believe if Chapo was not present when Cardinal Juan Jesús Posadas was killed (DEP) by AFO that Chapo would not have been so known because he lived discreetly compared to most narcos you see in Mexico.

  19. 3:55. Sinaloenses have been the part of Guadalajara culture for long time. Many of our early generations were there and then again in 1970s many leave for problems with militar raping and stealing and burning fields for no reason. Plus there was no money for the school, road, thing that people need to increase their economy and learn. The old generacións in GDL tease many Sinaloenses as naco, ranch people but there are many Sinaloense and we are accepted. Also the woman who comes from Sinaloa and Guadalajara will many times have similar body, skin, walk, and others ways in which I should not describe :). Also in Lagos Moreno there are pretty girls but some of the girls in Guadalajara do not like because they are not from the city and Guadalajara girls will say do not have proper manner and are rancheras. Just woman being a woman :)

    2. 8:45 and la resistencia, la familia and CT are no longer in Jalisco because of Mencho. Say what you want but there is no other cartel that has a compleate state dominated as well as cjng. Cds only have half of Sinaloa, there is little presence of cds in Jalisco and if they go It's to launder money and back to Sinaloa.

  24. It's funny how everyone thinks that they know everything going on. There's at least 6 cartels who operate in Jalisco, and yes they're all vying to one day run Jalisco. Sinaloa and CJNG fight openly on some fronts, discreetly on others, and sometimes they collobarate in other areas where it'smutually beneficial. It's business it isn't personal. Time to quit the cheerleading, though, it's just plain corny.
