Another relative of a ESPN commentator executed-second in 2 weeks

Chivis for Borderland Beat...

Ciani tweets an emotional video, pleading for the help of  President Pena and Osorio Chong

The sister of ESPN commentator Odin Ciani was gunned down today in Tijuana.  Doctor Alma Angélica Ciani González, was in her Cuauhtémoc Blvd medical clinic.

Doctor Ciani was in her office with her children and mother when gunmen arrived and executed the doctor, in cold blood,  in full view of her family.

Witnesses in surrounding shops report seeing the sicarios arrive and drove to the rear parking area, gaining entry from there.

In his video appeal to President Pena, the journalist asks Enrique Peña Nieto and Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong to help with the issue (of runaway violence and murders up 30%) because "we cannot continue living like this". The ESPN communicator is visibly affected during the video.

The country is in a very urgent  situation because as Odin himself said , "today it was his turn but tomorrow it can touch you."

So far neither Peña Nieto nor Osorio Chong have spoken about it. This is the second time that a relative of an ESPN sports commentator has been murdered in less than two weeks ; A few weeks ago Raphael, the brother of Julio César Chávez former boxing champ and current analyst of the television station) was also executed. He reached out to Odin on twitter.

Raphael (above) was murdered in his Sinaloa home, in front of his family.  The perps entered from the rear of the house.  Authorities claim he resisted the robbery.

  1. Unbelievable!
    Condolences to the family.
As for the assistance to President Nieto, nothing will change. Pleas and cries from hundred of thousands have yet to indicate a solution.
Violence will only subside with its citizens eradicating those bad elements. Justice by the hands of the people of Mexico. And only then can a bit of tranquility can arise.
Again my condolences to the family. Prayers and thoughts also extended.
Sad positing but clearly an awareness is needed.

    1. Well what can epn do?The way I sees it is it's the mexican people who are easily getting influenced to get into to the criminal elements and live A life of crime, not everyone but a lot do.When the government takes out 1 four will spawn out.I think its time for a revolution and its time to implement the death penalty or all hell is going to break loose because were are truly living in a time were evil is gaining ground.

I do agree with your sense of logic. Influential factors have become the root of Mexicos problems. The perception of lucrative financial wealth for those engaged in drug trafficking.
However it's not as clear cut as it seems when one is fully engaged. The monetary gains are minimum to those who are at the bottom (soldiers). Which in my opinion is the majority of the bunch. A false conception of a dream which often ends with death or incarcerated.
You state REVOLUTION as the only means to eradicate such violence and its corrupt government practices. A pill hard to swallow but definitely a resolution.
Question? Would the government allow such to commence? Second. If so such were to arise. Who's assistance would the Mexican government acquire (country) for repelling such?
Syria is a fine example of a civil war with no end in site. Countries with different agendas backing the wars outcome for political purposes.
Furthermore, I do believe the death penalty needs to be. And do believe such will get passed in the near future. Due to the violence and overpopulated detentions. But most of all due the rabid plagued individuals who seem to continue their behavior and activities.
Past history has proven that laws have been implemented to subside measures to protect citizens and its constituents.
      Beautiful insight though.

    4. Continued @ big nose.
What will the final result be if a revolution were successful?
Will Mexico be in a better state? Or will it be otherwise like those countries which successfully overthrew its former government and struggling?
Example, Lybia , Iraq and Egypt. Political unrest and uncertainty remains in those countries. Moreover, with terrorists groups arising from such turmoil.
      Something to ponder?

    5. Who would the US back? More likely the Gov. They would claim the revolutionaries are backed by Iran or some other bullshit. No to revolution, just let Mexico sort it self out. A month ago I lost a relative in Mty to criminals its hard when it hit close to you. But whats the point in vengence? We left it to divine gods justice better.

    7. Yea im going to be realistic, it would be hard to do a revolution due to the fact mexicans are very divisive and not really loving with each other, sometimes I get lost in my own imagination thinking that our people will come together and will be united but lets face it the evil element has taken over mexico and a lot mexicans everywhere. All I can say is if you can prep up because we are truly really living in scary times and basically its every man for themselves.

    8. Thpolitics of divisiveness is El PRI living up to their favorite axiom, "Divide y Vencerás", but it is the same on the US, being esten alive.by propagandists and their "Exquisitely and Incomparable "Fawx News", heirs of the Washington Times of reverend Sun Myung Moon who started it all...
But in mexico, which is not as divided as many idiots think, in th event of a "revolution"it will cost millions of lives of people that have no dog on this.fight, and property of private and puc instituns, mexico will blrft at te.mercy of the ambulance.chasers and "reconstruction experts" presently making billions and billions of dollars to reconstruct the iraq and the Syria they helped destroy...
Please keep your pinchis revolutions private in your panties.

  5. that is what happens when you take money from the trash, after a while it is like feeding a stray dog that is hungry when he gets fat he will turn and bite you. I feel for the people of Mexico and it will stop when they are able to arm themselves and only they can stop it.

    1. Unfourtionally the situation in Mexico is not going to change. The massive number of rabid dogs, that were fed for such a long time, are out. No body will be able to control them.

    3. Here in the USA we have animal shelters that execute those kind of dogs . I do have to give mexico credit . They are over run with bad dogs but they are executing far more than the USA ever has . Growing up in such a society multiplies the cold blooded killers . Don't matter because the government has to plow on and keep killing the evil bastards . There is no other way . People have to realize it is very dangerous to become involved . I don't get the connection between ESPN and cartel killers . Some kinda retaliation for something on the televised ?

  11. After living 14 yrs in Mexico the sad truth is it will not change. The problem is not the corrupt government but a corrrupt society. It doesn't matter what pollitical party is elected..they are or will be corrupt.
The last presidential election I asked my wife, "Why aren't you voting?" Her reply was "because there is nobody but Mexicans running"...call me racist but that was from the lips of my mexicana esposa.Corruption is just as much a part of their culture and society as the tortilla is.
