Mother and 13 year old daughter victims in another murder that no one can explain.

Posted by DD Republished from Mexico News Daily

Just days after a college professor, her husband and their teenage son were buried in the state capital of Chilpancingo, apparently victims of an organized crime killing, a market vendor and her teenage daughter were killed in their home in the neighboring municipality of Tixtla.

The woman and her daughter, identified only as Gudelia, 52, and Kenia, 13, were at their home early last Thursday evening when a group of armed men pulled up in several trucks, entered the house and shot them.

After remaining in the home for some 40 minutes the shooters poured gasoline over the bodies and in the home, torching it before leaving.

Since then, Gudelia’s neighbors have been wondering: where were the municipal or state police, or the military, or the community police force active in that town?

It took an hour for municipal police and Civil Protection officials to show up, yet their headquarters are located only 300 meters away from the scene of the crime.

“Gudelia was widely known in Tixtla for her food. Lots of people ate at her stand,” a neighbor told the newspaper El Universal.

He said friends and neighbors are worried.

“Never has anything like this happened; the people are very angry about what was done to the girl . . . they overdid it with her,” he said.

The motive behind the murder is not clear, and the people of Tixtla dare not speak directly about it, but at least two versions have surfaced.

One is that the a crime gang was looking for one of Gudelia’s sons while another says it was after one of her sisters.

Gudelia and Kenia appear to be the latests victims of the turf war between the criminal gangs los Rojos and Los Ardillos, who are vying for control of the corridor that goes from Chilpancingo to the Montaña region of the state.

  2. wow.I'm guessing the rival gang wanted her 'cartel tax' but she was probably already paying the other for her vendor stand. What was she supposed to do:pay both or starve .....or die.Tragic when a person has to die because they work.Catch 22.

    1. You are right. Right here in Chihuahua I know of people working in a block of businesses called the Pasito are being extorted by two criminal groups. One of them was shot in the head recently while closing the metal curtain to his business. His crime was being a couple of days late on the cuota. Left behind a pregnant wife and two children. These crimes never get solved because of the collusion between government entities. The police know of this happening, they know who is extorting them and no one dares to call officials for obvious reasons. That is probably why no police showed up in this situation.

    2. In el DF, the vendors get together and when the quota collectors arrive anybody yells: rapist! And everybody beats the crap out of the suspects, of course, in el DF EPN protects his turf, other places are on their own, politicians have sold them to all the gangas, cartels, police, military, and their comadre, guerrero is no exception.

  3. If her children refused to be drafted and escaped, the women should have gone too, in colombia they still draft young men from the street for their clandestine labs and guerrilla operations of drug trafficking, it is clear that the police are in on it, it is not the first time and won't be the last, in spite of thousands of soldiers and police in the state, because they are #1 in corruption

  4. "Just days after a college professor, her husband and their teenage son were buried ..."

Why not "Just days after a woman, her husband and their teenage son were buried ..." Is it just me or is there an objective to emphasize the prestige of women according to the standards applied to men?

    1. @3:29 You said "to emphasize the prestige of women according to the standards applied to men?"

I don't understand what that means. The reason it specified "a college professor , her husband and son" is to remind readers of the murders in the story just a few days ago where the Professor's murder in a nearby town where the reason for the killings were not explainable just as in this case.

  5. Man, unbelievable how people fear these cartels. They are the biggest cowards I've ever seen. Shooting a 13 year old unarmed girl. The solution is simple. Your government is corrupt, your police is mostly corrupt and your Army is pathetic. If Mexico ever changes, it will be from a citizen uprising. Only way. Will it happen? Probably not....you need to have a set of balls first.

    6. 4:24 I kind of get your point..I however think you confuse Fear with Respect..How could anyone Respect a Brutal killer of a 13 yo girl? No one,But I certainly would Fear a group of Brutal child killers, especially if I have children to protect..Are you NUTS?

  7. Sad but women all ovet the world are not safe even in their own homes from harm. Killed by narcos or by their estranged ex husband women are far more likely to die in their own home than men. Mostly because fridgid, poor lunatic men whose mother does not even like them go out on killing sprees like these thinking that that makes then have big balls. It doesn't. Fucking cowards.

  11. Time for the people of mexico to take control of their own destinies. Pool your money hire a group of ex seals to form hunter killer groups then take care of the problems in your area.

    1. 1:0 the seals are so expensive only those that can afford them can hire them, not a luxury for a poor woman with a poor street food stand, but if her daughter were cute, she could make a dollar or two from them seals...
That why only Blackwater, blackstone, the CIA, Academi, Xe, the rockefellers or the Rothschild hire them...then charge ten times more to the host that still can't host the parasites.
