Tijuana: Gunmen storm Palenque, shoot 5

Gunmen storm Palenque in Rosarito

Early this morning in Rosarito, at least two gunmen stormed a clandestine 'Palenque', a cockfighting arena in Colonia Porticos De La Gloria.  5 people, including two minors were injured by gunfire, or other injuries.  They were transported by friends and relatives to hospitals in private vehicles.

The shooting was partially captured on video, including footage of the entrance, where two men, young, dressed in dark clothing, one carrying an assault rifle rush into the arena, as the bystanders and security idly watch.  They exit moments later, and escape, by vehicle, to Playas De Rosarito ara.
The gunmen were said to be in a 1998 Oldsmobile with tinted windows, and California license plates.

Earlier this year in Ensenada, gunmen aligned with a Sinaloa cell in Ensenada attempted to execute 'El Tres Animales', a plaza boss and crystal trafficker, in the service of CAF.  5 people were killed in that attack, and a series of arrests were made in the aftermath, including 'El Tres Animales', and Marco Tullio 'El Marlon'.

Many of the traffickers, batakas, retailers involved frequent palenques, casinos, horse racing, and motorcycle races, so there are often shootings and killings at these places, as rivals search for their targets.  Sometimes they are given up by people close to them, who betray the location to handlers of the gunmen.

The gunmen in the video look inexperienced, and the attack appears to be sloppily staged, as they didn't kill their targets, and by their movements in the video.  In the last 8 years, sicarios have changed from experienced killers with some training, to mostly crystal meth addicts who will carry out killings for under a few1,000 pesos.  The colonias are filled with addicts, poverty, and thousands of potential killers and gunmen.  Deportees from gangs in LA and San Diego and across California are also a large recruiting pool.

This began mostly in the Inge/El Teo war, as both sides needed cheap killers, as their groups suffered losses at the hands of rivals, and authorities trying to contain the spiraling violence.  Now, Tijuana and Baja is filled with young killers, who often commit multiple homicides before being killed or captured.

    1. 7:54 blame Zeta Magazine for exposing the CAFOS AND THE HANK ROHN MAFIA, the replacements leave a lot to be desired now.
Puros pinchis cholos y cholo wanabes without class, Paris Hilton would not allow photos near them.

    2. 1:41. How can you blame a magazine? The cartels expose themselves to public, better yet to the world before any newspaper, magazine, and/or televised news crew gets the information. The newspaper, magazines, and/or televised news crew just repeat the information as told or assumed to be told by their understanding of the information.

And Paris Hilton? The cartels have beautiful women, and it is obvious the idea of beautiful is mistreated-likely reason Paris Hilton snubbed her nose from them. Sinaloa has the beautiful blonde from Australia, what does that make Paris Hilton to them? Runner up in a beauty pageant? It is never good to make yourself comfortable in a cartel where nobody is safe.

  12. Tijuana is not Rosarito, Rosarito is Rosarito. They are separated by enough kilometers to deserve the distinction. The reporting here does the same thing to Acapulco...a shooting 30kms away gets blamed on Acapulco.

    Whatever.

  16. Tijuana until you take up arms and start a war on illegal Drug's like Rodrigo Duterte in the Phillipines, you will live in Misery. Donald Trump will take the presidency of the United States of America in January. If his the people he has chosen for his cabinet are any indication, he will begin deporting 100's of thousands, if not millions of criminals, that will only add to the misery.

    1. Obama deported over 2.5 million! How much misery did that add?

    2. Have you been to the Phillipines? They live in misery... and its worse misery than in Tijuana.

    3. Truth is : Mexico will be flooded with deportations , which Mexico will not know how to address the volume . This wave of deportations will bring more violence since employment is scarce and little to survive. Resulting in criminal activity for sustainable living. Good news for Americans is a Real Estate boom from all the foreclosures when this happens.

      Delete
    4. 12:55. Truth is nobody will be here to work in the orchards, meat packing plants, roofing ect. United States has 4% unemployment and the 4% doesn't want this jobs. We better be careful biting the hands that feed us.

      Delete
    5. The deportations will certainly cause problems for the country they are deported to. But if we are talking about misery in Mexico, a large majority of those deported in recent years have been from Central America and will be deported there, not to Mexico

      Delete
    6. 12:55. A ghetto real estate boom really? The Latinos converted unused building and made thriving business sections in my city. I doubt whites move in, and the blacks probably wouldn't be interested either. The only thriving inner city parts in my city are from Latinos. And it won't be thriving anymore they leave.

    7. We Americans are so uneducated about illegal immigration as a whole. Donald Trump failed to tell his supporters that 75% of the illegals entering the US are OTM's (Other Than Mexican). But if you listen to that cocksucker's speeches he convinced everyone nothing but Mexicans are coming into the US illegally. The best way for leaders to gain more control over the population is to create hysteria amongst that population. Fear the Mexicans!!! They will kill you, rape you or take your jobs. The Democrats did the same thing post Emancipation Proclaimation in 1863. They instigated hysteria within the lower class whites and told them that all their issues were caused by the freed slaves taking their jobs. History is repeating itself except the Mexicano is the target this day and age. Falsehoods and lies are used to fan the fires of fear. What I find totally hilarious is the people who are the most "concerned" about border security don't even live near the southern border.
