Tijuana: 'El Viejon' left in black bags by Aquiles

'El Viejon' hit by Aquiles

Another body left in the wake of the turmoil and betrayed alliances and shifting narco politics, leaving bodies in the street, bagged up, burned, scorched, bound and gagged  strewn across the hard concrete, emblazoned with 9mm shells and dried blood....

The body found last Friday apparently has been identified as a member of CAF, the ghosts of another decade where the famed Arellano brothers ran the plaza, a different life, a different time.  Jose Lorenzo Hernandez Garcia, known as 'El Viejon' was a confidante of Melvin Quiroz Qutierrez, "El Melvin', a Logan Heights soldier who ascended the ranks of the Arellano Felix, and serving as the strong hand of Fernando Sanchez Arellano, until his arrest in early 2013.

'El Viejon' has a very familiar story in CAF, he was assumedly from Logan Heights or another San Diego area neighborhood, as he began with David Barron Carona, 'El CH', infamous gunner of Ramon Arellano Felix, who recruited his friends from prison and the streets to help the Arellano brothers enforce their rule in Tijuana.

'El Melvin' was also in this group of elder CAF members, as well as his brother Benjamen 'El Kecho' Quiroz, and Marcos Antonio Paredes Quiones, 'El Pato'.  Kecho was murdered earlier this year, at an OXXO, groups linked to Aquiles, later arrested, confessed to that killing.  Kecho was a target in the power struggles and eradications that have escalated the death toll in Tijuana to over 500, in the year.

'El Viejon' was said to have assumed control of the Fernando Sanchez, El Inge faction, after the blood heirs arrest in June 2014.  Authorities say they have confirmed Viejon's identity through tattoos. This latest death continues the feuds, wars, and cleanings that have left many bodies in it's wake, torn up from high impact shells, brains blown out at taco stands, gunned down in front of their homes, women and children shot and injured by random gunfire and direct hits from depraved gunmen, high on the invincibility of crystal meth and a hopeless life of madness and killing.

    13. 2:26 am The links to gold cannot be over emphasized in the Mali attacks, and everywhere else you mentioned. Just where is the Libyan gold Uncle Mumar amassed? His last straw with the powers that be was he and three other African/Arab countries SOAKING in gold had decided to go back to the gold standard as currency. (The States quit the gold standard backing up each US dollar after WWII). More than this, the dinar would be gold pieces. Where's Mumars gold? Did you know, that you can get gold ingot from an ATM in places like Dubai, Abu Dabi and Saudi?

    1. Well, neither here nor there, cheering for the government ain't gonna happen, either! Y'a can take the cartels out of government, but you can't take the government out of the cartels. It's a symbiotic relationship. Yes, the violence and harm are appalling, like in every war. There are no good guys in any of this. It's way too late in the game to delude ourselves into thinking the government is on the side of the Mexican pueblo.

    2. The good guys have discovered that behind the cartels is the mexican governing narco-mierdocracia, and behind them like a bordello of blood madam is the US, and behind them is a global cabal full of vulture capitalistas that do not care where any of the money comes from as long as it lands in their private owned coffers...

    2. Doubt it. The only way that happens is if the Mexican military start relentlessly hitting CDS enemies like they did when Z/CDG and CDS/BLO split. The CDS isn't that politically strong anymore. CDS couldn't do it alone then and they can't do it now. Juarez is too strong in Chijuas. BLO is still hitting CDS hard in Sinaloa and the Z are still relevant in the Northeast, central and Deep South. The Tijuana plazas are a mess and that might be the only area CDS could take complete control of. Chapo should just worry about staying free not the taking over of any new plazas. I say nothing major changes in 2016. It's business as usual with the tit for tat attacks on each other with no major shifts in terroritory.

    3. Hahahahah. Every plaza? I don't know how your estimating man. What gains have they made recently?

First that country would need to be cleaned outta all the goons, crooks in suits sitting in gob offices, then the streets. Everybody knows that is not gonna happen. 1. Mexico has a system to ID "their own people" and criminals. Read article again and see El Viejon is from San Diego, Then realize that DNA has been prohibitively expensive to US states and as a result Federal Funding only enabled states to collect DNA at tax payers expense but to the profitable benefit of US owned intellectual property in the 1990s. 30 plus years later at least 9 states in America do not enforce the Federally required mandate that prisons collect DNA (yes that's 30 years of ignoring your governments executive branch)- similar to our states near unanimous refusal to enforce our federal immigration law, and the trend of just ignoring certain federal drug enforcement law. It's kind of like Damascus and Washington - where the people give those that serve them the middle finger.....or is it more like in Mexico where certain powerful groups or people have complete immunity....probably the latter.

I apologize for digressing - you said Mexico needs to do what?

    4. You or I or anybody can write a wiki article about anything and say whatever we like. Then, somebody else googling around who reads it, takes exception to something in it, sends in their two cents worth, and this gets duly noted on the wiki page. Wiki isn't an august body of fact checkers, scholars, scientists. It is an adequate and easily accessible point of information that has its uses as you start reseaching, but you have to take it many steps further to uncover actual fact on most topics, particularly of historical and political events and personalities.

  21. This guy was out of work, he lost all when Inge was caught, he basically had to become a full time kidnapper to survive and he lost it, this guy was El Marino, the guy with the El Viejon nickname with power right now is the one arrested a few weeks ago in Playas, that guy is a cell leader full time and most likely he will be out in no time, as has been in the last couple of times he has been arrested. Aquiles is trying hard to look as the one in charge, but not even his people are answering to him. The Jr from the arellanos is gaining momentum and people from aquiles have already jumped to the side of El Gross now representing CJNG. Tijuana is a complete mess right now, but Aquiles is far from being the one with the power at his hands.
