El Chapo was in Venezuela, according to "El Nacional"

Translated by Otis B Fly-Wheel for Borderland Beat from a Proceso article and image from Google

Reporter: Proceso Redaction
Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman went to Venezuela at the end of September past in a bi-motor airplane, informed the newspaper "El Nacional" on Monday.

In its Internet site, the Venezuelan newspaper detailed that reports from anti-drugs intelligence agencies revealed that the a subject with characteristics similar to the leader of the Pacific Cartel had a brief stop in the region of the Colombian frontier, presumably proceeding to Honduras, that landed at a clandestine airstrip in the south of Apure, in Los Linderos at a place called Pesurca.

They highlighted that the suspect left the aeroplane with another three people and left in a van that was in a caravan of three four wheel drive vehicles.

They also signalled, in a similar fashion, that before the alleged presence of the narco trafficker, who escaped from the Federal Maximum Security Prison at Altiplano, in State of Mexico, on the 11th of July passed, anti-drug investigators of the United States and other Latin American countries sent to authorities of Venezuela information about the physical characteristics of Joaquin Guzman Loera.

"I don't have even the slightest doubt that "El Chapo" Guzman has been in Venezuela", said a functionary involved in the search.

According to "El Nacional", the place where "El Chapo" arrived is known to be the origin of the majority of "suspicious" flights that are made to central America, and this zone is habituated by Colombian FARC Guerrillas.

The newspaper highlighted that in December this past year in Elorza, very close to where supposedly the narco trafficker was located, was detained the Colombian German Rodriguez Ataya, "the FARC pilot", after having been observed in a flight proceeding to Toluca, Mexico.

This past Friday the 6th, Police investigators from Chile, gave out a red alert after which the Gendarmes of Argentina, communicated the possibility that the narco trafficker from Mexico could be found in the South of the country, in the tourist city of Bariloche, in the Rio Negro province.

According to information from Radio Bio Bio, the Government of the President Michelle Bachelet was alerted this morning by Argentinian Authorities about the eventual presence of the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, and his probably intentions to cross into Chile.

According to the newspaper "Clarin", the Chilean police and intelligence services have mounted an immediate security cordon in the frontier zone of Cardenal Antonio Samore, that is close to the Chilean city of Osorno with Bariloche.

    1. Yep. Depressing, too. There isn't any way to put the brakes to these corrupt cowards' power, either. They may be total losers as people, but they got the guns and money.

  3. None of that's true, I have it on good authority he was sighted playing golf with Elvis and Big Foot on a south sea island yet to be disclosed for obvious security reasons.

  4. So 'they' know where Chapo is. What is the surprise? Assuming he paid 50 million to get out of prison he surely is ready to continue paying to stay out and the entire American continent is full of officials more than ready to let him fill their pockets for information and protection.

That they afterwards announce him having passed through is part of the game they trying to look as if they are making an effort to nab him.

Chapo will beon the run as long as he has access to money. Once he has run out he will be hung high and gloriously.

    1. Get real. there is no way the escape cost 50 mil. Only an amateur would say something like that.1 Million is so much in Mexico, why spend 50 mil? You take my payment or I kill you and your family. No fucking mexican whether its someone who works at the jail or not, is going to be like nahhh 500k is not enough for me. its common sense

      Delete
    2. Chapo makes everybody more money out of prison than when he's incarcerated.

      Delete
    3. First of all the $50 million was an estimate by one of Pablo Escobars assassins Popeye who has little credibility in 2015. Secondly the money never runs out. Not unless the drugs stop. Chapo sells so much that he actually could afford to spend 50 million a month to evade authorities. Look at what is happening in Sinaloa now. Thirdly he's not on the run all over the place. He's in la Sierra Madre where the government is not chasing him.

  12. Probably the best place to put this:

The judge in charge of Dr. Mireles' case has ordered Castillo, Vallejo, and the PGR of Michoacán to give statements on 11/30, based on the new filings by Mireles' attorney.

Prior to the Spring 2014 agreement, AD's were legally carrying their weapons. The AD's agreed with the Feds to disarm and join the FR ONLY if certain conditions were met by the Feds, the most important being the arrest of the top CT capos. But there were others, as well.

When the deadline arrived for disarming in May 2014, the conditions had not been met by the federal govt. So, the federal government had not done its part, and the AD's were not bound to comply with the agreement regarding disarming.

    1. This is an interesting development! It seems like the Good Doc and AD have got smarter legal defense than before. The officials cited to come forward to make their declarations might just end up taking the 100 days' fine, maybe this would actually be an advantage for Mireles and AD.

And he has done so much more for the people of Mexico, than you ever will. You are corrupt scum, are you scared that the information this man carries will put high ranking politicians in jail?

  20. WTF Why in the world would Shorty go to Chile? He's got people to do his traveling for him. He has maximum control over his universe in Mexico, he's not going to put himself at risk in Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina, Honduras or any place else. Why would he? Linking el Chapo to FARC is open to several interpretations, for the purposes of this story, though, its b.s. Chapo's sitting tight where he's in charge, not at large throughout the world cutting deals. Thanks for the story, Otis B, it's a good read, anyway :-)

El Chapo is a figment of our imaginations, a myth, a fabrication....easy come, easy go, now ya see him, then you don't, he is an enemy of convenience for boatloads of vested interests' agendas in and out of Mexico como Pedro por su casa haciendo lo que les da la santisima gana con la gente y las tierras y el agua. Chapo is a distraction from what is being done to Mexico, much of America Latina, and the world, in fact.
