Corrido Singer Remmy Valenzuela arrested

Translated by Otis B Fly-Wheel for Borderland Beat from a Zetatijuana article

[ Subject Matter: Remmy Valenzuela
Recommendation: No prior subject matter knowledge required]

Reporter: Zeta Redaction
The corrido singer, Remegio Alejandro Valenzuela Buelna, known as Remmy Valenzuela, was detained in Sinaloa by elements of the State Ministerial Police, yesterday night he was searched and found with a firearm.

According to the data obtained, it indicates that the singer was travelling down a highway when he was stopped and searched by the Ministerial Police, they found a .38 calibre pistol and some spare ammunition.

"El Remmy" was transferred to the offices of the State Ministerial Police, where security forces implemented a security cordon after a rumour that a convoy of armed men in various vehicles were on the way to rescue the singer.

In a preventative manner the streets around the State Ministerial Police base were closed with the support of the Municipal Police, the Mexican Army and the Marines, as well as installing road blocks for searching for the reported convoy of armed men. Meanwhile in social networks rumours about the arrest of the singer continue to circle, although there has been no confirmation by Authorities.

Under a strong security convoy, on Sunday morning, Valenzuela was put at the disposition of the Federal Authorities based in Los Mochis.

UPDATE

This morning, the Governor Mario Lopez Valdez and the General Secretary of the Government, Gerardo Vargas Landeros, confirmed the detention of Valenzuela Buelna.

The singer has previously been involved in scandals, on the 24th of September 2012, an ex member of the Army Special Forces detained with arms he was taking to Bacurato, in his statement, informed the Authorities that he was going to a reunion with "El Remmy", operator of the criminal band "Los Mazatlecos".

On the same day, a detention was reported of an alleged drug dealer, who testified that "Remmy Valenzuela" was his cousin, and that he worked under the orders of Fausto Isidro Meza Flores alias "El Chapo Isidro".

On the 17th of October of 2013, the singer was injured in a fire fight which occurred in the Santa Mario del Oro Hotel, in Nayarit, where he had organized a party.

    1. In México, as stupid as it sounds, the lay restricts the possession of weapons. You can't have one for self defense. the only ones authorized to carry weapons are law enforcement and the criminals. Everyone else, the only thing we can do to protect us is praying, because the government will not. Oh, but after someone gets murdered, there will be many many police officers of different agencies, and possibly the armed forces "securing the area". Maybe its just me, but if God forbids, I end up like that, I wish God gives me enough time so when all the police force shows up to secure the area, I can tell them with my last breath "Go f**k yourselves, its too late now".

  22. MEXICO'S ARMS LAW

Article 10 - The inhabitants of the United Mexican States have the right to possess arms for their security and legitimate defense with the exception of those prohibited by federal law, and those reserved for the exclusive use of the military.
(Note: there are provisions made for farmers and those living in rural areas, they can carry weapons in their vehicle whereas article 10 stipulates weapons, up to 10 per household must stay in the residence. A permit is required and guns must be registered. All weapons must be purchased from the Army, with the exception of used weapons and those need a notification of new ownership and registration.)

Article 11 of Ley Federal de Armas de Fuego y Explosivos lists prohibited "military firearms" in México.

    They include:
    full-auto and semi-auto handguns larger than 380
    revolver .357 Magnum or larger
    rifles larger than .30 caliber
shotguns larger than 12ga or with a barrel shorter than 25".
Allowed hand gun calibers are .380 auto, .38 and .22.
Allowed long guns: rifles no larger the 30 caliber; shotguns 12, 20 and 410 with barrels longer than 25”

    1. I should add that farmers and rural areas can request for an exception in the law to carry weapons other than listed.

      Delete
    2. But they must be licensed, registered and sampled for marks on the bullets and caps? Or they can just be 'posessed', like on the US they do mistakenly understand?

      Delete
    3. yes registered as I said above, but that is the quick answer. I have a good analysis on my scribd page depicting the complexities. I texted Lucio maybe he can post it because I know enough people are confused. Most people coming to BB did not even know Mexicans have the right to bear arms until they began following BB. But the answer is not that simple.

lets see if Lucio or someone else can put the post up.

    4. Hit the nail on the head there Tia, the right of all Mexican citizens to own a gun is written in the Mexican Constitution, similar to the 2nd amendment in the USA.

    7. The United States of Mexico modeled their constitution after the United States of America.

But of course that is only a teeny portion of the story.I will say that in states like Tamps and Coahuila a greater number of citizens have weapons because the hunt. The number of permits allocated is becoming smaller, what I hear is the gob is nervous about too many having arms. It is a complicated ball of shit. Many of my friends in Coahuila have weapons because they are ranchers or/and hunt.

    8. @ 1:38
wow that can't be answered by a couple of paragraphs. But the short answer is ...yes. The castillo-gate agreement made in feb 2014 between the evil one and two timing papa squatty AD began registering their weapons. As did the legit AD the coastal group.

when semei verdia was arrested his guns were not only registered but he headed up the rurales, also comprised of legit AD.

Lets me go back to june 2014 when doc was arrested. He sent me texts and emails in abundance as well as photos. The photo widely used taken the day before the arrest (the 26th at 5:26PM). I posted it and it has been used hundreds of times. But what is interesting is his message to me on the 26th at around noon.

He stated he was with a group of 300 people of Caleta who were going to La Mira where a large group of 300 or so were waiting. They were haing a general assembly meeting at 5PM to elect a city council and construct a list of AD that will integrate as "Defensas Ruales" (AD)that would work with Policias Rurales Estados-a group in the coast, good people. this was sanctioned by the feds.

but it was a set up, as we know. to have him arrested. There is much more but this is ot the place.

why I tell you this is each one of the coastal AD, Defensa Rurales, and Policia Rurales were legit and there weapons were registered and permitted.

when Semei was arrested it was on weapons charge, how can that be? and the court agreed. He and the other had a right to the legal weapons especially being a part of the coastal rurales.

and that is why he was released and immediately picked up and charged for multiple murder.

Ditto with Nestora. good people, all heroes. It is heartbreaking

for you to say to you they ar all part of a cartel shows you are uniformed and that you cannot define the difference. It is one thing not to know and not to judge, quite another to render an opinion and being carelessly ignorant.
