8 killed in shootout and pursuit after thwarted kidnapping

Villahermosa, Tabasco - on Friday an attempted kidnapping, resulting in a chase, ended with  eight dead, including three policemen.

According to the version of the Ministry of Public Security of the State, two of the alleged kidnappers, one male and one female, were arrested but died “while being taken for medical care”.

However, in photos released on social networks the two detainees are seen in the bed of a police pickup, alive and in the case of the woman, appears to be conscious and without bullet impacts.

In other images taken by press photographer, the bodies of the two detainees are seen  at the edge of a river, in an area about 15 kilometers from where the arrest occurred, on a path of Ranchería Plátano and  Cacao Section 2.

A woman is seen with a shot in the left temple and the man with a shot in the arm that pierced the ribs.

The attempted kidnapping  in the Municipal colony left a toll of 5 criminals killed and three policemen dead.

The incident took place at about 11:00 pm yesterday, when a group of armed men traveling aboard a gray Toyota, attempted to kidnap  a businessman at a car wash on Calle Mariano Arista.

The kidnapping was thwarted by Miguel Angel Lopez Garcia of the Highway State Police motor patrol, when he realized the information sent out on radio matched that vehicle in his sight.  He began pursuit, the suspects began firing and killed two motorcycle police.

The kidnappers abandoned their vehicle and boarded a Red Jetta.

Warning images on next page are graphic

Gunfire continued until the Jetta driver lost control and crashed into a tree.

According to the official version;  it began around 11 am, when a group of criminals tried to kidnap a man.

Pursuit and shootouts began by police,  that left three policemen, including a ministerial (SSP) dead and two more wounded.

In the press conference,  no questions were allowed, the head of the SSP, Sergio Ricardo Martinez Luis, confirmed that the death toll from the clashes, was three policemen and five "criminals".

He said three of the alleged kidnappers, died on impact when their car crashed while fleeing police, in which fleeing police on  Villahermosa Road.

However, in the photos  the bodies of three people reflect  bullet wounds, two of them are in the head.

"Upon arrival of Police, they realized that there were three bodies vital signs and two others  who were observed having serious injuries.”

"Faced with this emergency, they attempted transferring (the wounded) to the nearest hospital to provide  health care and noting that vehicular traffic was blocked, they elected to use an alternative pathway that leads from the Ranchería Plátano and  Cacao Section 2.

"When realizing the decline of the detainees condition, the unit stopped, and removed the suspects, “to render first aid”,  which failed and the detainees perished from injuries sustained in the crash.”

Governor Arturo Nunez praised the performance of the police in hot pursuit of the assailants, whom he said, died as the result of "walking the wrong path."

The intended kidnapping victim survived unharmed.

Families weigh in:

Relatives of three of the five people who died after a chase with state police demanded justice. Of the
deceased, three were brothers, according to their aunt Domitilla Marin Almeida, (right) and undeserving being gunned down.

She said, that in the official version of events, her family members perished because of shock from the vehicle crash.  "I demand justice my family has suffered from discrimination. They did not die by accident, but were killed by   the coup de grace. “Referring to the fact 4 of the 5 suspects had a gunshot to the head.

“They were not animals to be gunned down like that.  Everyone is supposed to have rights.”

She stated the government is withholding the bodies from the family.
These were the two suspects in the truck bed

  1. Glad that the intended victim survived, but too bad for the 3 law enforcement officers. As for the kidnappers, they deserved to die painful deaths.

    7. 5:45 you don't know anything about mexico you're sitting behind a laptop in the U.S., Mexico is not like the U.S people over here are desperate for work, every one wants to eat, even the cops, earning 69 U.S dollars peer week is not enough to support your self, nor you're family, that's the reason why the majority of individuals rather go balls out and fight the government, and make a living out of exactly what the government does Witch it steal, and murder. The criminals, and the government are the same trash.I live in fresnillo zacatecas and let me tell you" is no joke over here." Once you're arrested by the cops for any reason what so ever, there's a 50/50 chance you might not make it back to your love ones.cops over here deliver you to organize crime so they can kill you, or in many other cases they kill you them selfs, and that's exactly what happen to this girl she got killed with no justification, we don't know if she was gully or not? Let the PGR decided. So like I said before imagine this happening to your mom, or sister. Imagine them going about there business and just out of no where they get kidnapped by the corrupt cops that you trust to serve, and protect you, and then they murder raped, torture, and kill your mom, and sister just because they thought they just had kidnapped some one.We the people need to open our eyes and fight for our freedom that has been taking from us little, by little, first let's remove Pena nieto, and his corrupt administration from office, and maybe then mexico will change.

    10. 3:19 obviously you do not live in Mexico. Every drug corridor and plaza municipalities are 100% in bed with narcos. The government reported this themselves. You cannot possibly understand what it is like. We Mexicans are afraid. We have no where to go, not police, not the press, not the feds, because we can't be sure. If we talk we die but worse so to our family. it is how they keep us in the grip of terrorism. They cops are pigs. they are narco cops. where is the victim? not even a name, no witness came forward to the press. nothing. the cops imo were disrupting something else, sent by narcos. why the hell were they on motorcycles? How fucking stupid can you get? does that sound ridiculous?
in the us if this happened people would be marching, why? because they get it, that if cops extrajudicial kill, every citizen suffers. we know that also. if in the us 6-12-27-44 people killed by police they would be at the door of the whitehouse. we want the same. The #43 the world press banged the globe about, wasn’t even correct. It was 50 killed. Including a 15 year old soccer player. The press should have investigated and wrote about the ongoing killings of normalistas, and we think osario chong is the author because he hates the schools and wants them closed. Keeping indigena uneduated so they can be robbed and cheated. Who killed in Iguala? The nasty police bastards and narcos. A investigation is the best course to protect people.
we want to be able to call the police when we need help, to trust our government, and not left asking ourselves wtf happen? why? and left to imagine what occurred, and argue about theories. we want the same as you, to see justice unfold, evidence presented, and the court decide. sure we have issues with our system of justice, we have issues with all levels of government. but one wrong doesn't justify another. and in these situations the highest price is paid.

    11. "Kidnap At The Car Wash," sounds like bad disco...My wish for all kidnappers is that they rot in hell. More's the pity that places like Mexico & Colombia don't leave the women in charge of meting out justice to kidnappers. In both countries, the police & governments are greedy, corrupt, the very real enemy of the people. The rich get fatter, the poor starve. Narco $ keeps both governments and officialdom at its service. In Mexico and Colombia, there is no one to trust. The last thing anybody wants is the police anywhere near their lives in either country. We'll never know why these 8 people are dead or what's behind this tragedy. Reasons for kidnappings involving children can be more complex, but most kidnappings are about money/property, even if a specific instance of the crime is touted as being a political one. My thoughts are with the victims' families.

we can't allow this shit to happen. what if the girl did not know what was going down, or what if these aren't the facts? where is the kidnapped victim? we will never know.. celebratory knee jerk reactions are playing into those who control us. It is a easy leap to kill innocents, to make them disappear to rape, police agencies and fed forces alike. not just the bad ones do these things. and as long as we say "go get em, yeah" then they can take justice into their own hands and become judge and executioner, when they decide and say the dead were bad people.

and mexico will remain corrupt and without law and order, nor justice. be careful what you cheer for. justice denied to one is justice denied to all

--@1:08 @12:55 sucks socks, supressing "witnesses-perps-suspects" does not help the police case at all, that puts the police below the criminals, and we know that is where they belong, I have never seen one case of people that die from wounds resulting from a crash that include bullet wounds to the head bullshit, but I see some people lap it up...

  6. If I was president of Mexico I would have gotten a massive loan from Germany, Australia and Japan and allow them access to resources in my country. Next I would've presented a massive job creation reform to reconstruct All the major cities thus creating millions of jobs, raising the pay to where the maximum one would get paid is 600 weekly while taxing them to make the annual payment for the loan. Then I would've reformed the education system to where it will be MANDATORY for anyone under 16 to attend school while providing scholarships to the youth to attend college to meet the demand for teachers and skilled workers. While all this is happening I would've shrunk the size of the government and fired all governors, mayors, police chiefs and military generals and set up clean elections voted by the people for the people. As everyone sees the dramatic changes in the country, I would've secretly passed the use of capital punishment and legalized the death penalty to where if a person has committed 2 or more murders or has killed someone in a heinous matter they will be shipped to a private prison specifically made for those convicted and sentenced to death and be put down within a month. This will make a statement to any criminal wishing to cause destruction to society that your actions will not be tolerated and you will be killed by my government of course in a humane matter. I would've urged for any undocumented citizens living in the US to return to their homeland as there will be no need to escape your country to make a living somewhere else where you get judged and despised on for simply living in their land. This is a summary of what I would do if you want to know more of my plan in detail or want to express your opinions please feel free to respond.

--Your theories are, sadly, full of shit, they have been tried, they have all failed, Milton friedman, any rand, Ann Coulter and Paul ryan, are also blind, they can not see that their politics is what has europe coming back to mexico, america, and the US to re-colonize the leftovers on the banana republics, because their EU and euros are failing all over their rancid countries full of austere shit and voodoo economics.

Start with cops. For years they have routinely brutalized and murdered prisoners and innocent people and gone unpunished. Only now, thanks to technology and a sudden interest in the phenomenon, is the practice being documented.
Jobs? All of the good ones have vanished since 2008. That's not opinion, but fact backed by economic studies.
The sad truth is the Mexicans sneaking into the U.S. haven't the skills or education to make it on either side of the border. They're no different than gringos who live in the southern U.S. Visit Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, etc. and you will find millions of gringos living in squalor. Just like you see in the movies, only real. So, careful about looking down your nose at Mexico.

After working their jobs for so long and seeing innocent killed and continuous graphic crime scenes, I am sure it has taken its toll on them psychologically. Do cops get evaluated for mental issues after all this? Of course not, there is no time for that. If they continue being as brutal as the criminals, but towards the criminals, maybe the jails will have room and less revolving doors. Mexico has no laws. They are written but not enforced. Too many criminals get out and continue the crimes. Just do like the old days and take them out back and put an end too it. Good for the police!!!!!!!!

  22. No sorrow for these criminals here. In most cases if you are not out doing bad things than usually you are ok. However this is Mexico we are talking about. Who is weeping the thousands of innocent people not yet found? If this what it takes to eliminate eveil than do it. These are not just criminals. They are terrorists. Constantly killing, kidnapping and extorting. Just kill them. Sorry it is a forum for comments and opinions. Many may not agree with mine, but I am sure any of their victims that survived would. I feel no sorrow for that woman as she had other choices she probably could have made and this was the one she chose.

    1. Yes this forum include opinions pendejas, there is no death penalty in mexico, but it should apply to those who execute extrajudicially, if the prisons are full of convicted felons who confessed while being tortured is the government problem, murdering accused suspects is a crime anywhere, and attempts to satanize the dead are nothing new, wonder why?

  23. QUOTE: “They were not animals to be gunned down like that. Everyone is supposed to have rights.”

Really? Laughable. These animals deserve to be killed quickly and as inhumanely as possible. A message must be sent that terrorizing the public, via kidnappings and extortions, will NOT be tolerated.

    Thank you, police officers.

    1. How do we know they are guilty of a crime? Lack of due process and rule of law is the problem not the solution. Until Mexico realizes that it will be stuck in the same hell. This week it will be the police who are murderers, exacting revenge on those they pronounce "guilty" without trial. Next week it will be the cartels. The following week someone else, then back to the police. Around and around and around, down down down, o change ever until due process and rule of law is found.

    2. @508... Yah, I'm sure their hands were absolutely spotless. Explain to me again how they managed to kill 3 police officers.

    3. You are accusing the dead of killing police officers, explain how it happened, from a runaway small car, with 6 people inside...
--where are the ballistics, the weapons used and the autopsy reports, the reports from the surviving officers, reports from the supervises or commanders, witnesses reports, the intended kidnapping victim...
--It all looks like a big pile of shit, and you are sticking to it like a fly on a pig's ass...

    4. And a fuckin pendejo like you can't look at things logically because of your hate and mistrust. Again, explain to me how these police officers died?? Or let me guess, they killed themselves just to make the incident look believable?? I'll wait for your fact filled and concise response.

  24. Looks like government propaganda is winning the battle for your minds, too many people with preconceived ideas of guilty against the accused kidnappers, accused, by the murderous government...

    1. Facts and common sense are what people see my friend. Explain to me how they managed to shoot and kill 3 police officers. Maybe they weren't so saintly and deserved what they got. Just a thought.

    2. facts and common sense, you can't handle facts and common sense...
--Ask any real sniper how you can shot dead three motorcycle riding cops from a small runaway car packed with six people during the chase...
      --Not even the American Sniper...
--you are too quick to lend your ears to any bullshit and lap it up, mister sister...
