Singer Ariel Camacho killed with two others, another in ciritcal condition

Lucio for Borderland Beat
Ariel Camacho, leader of La Banda de los Plebes del Rancho was killed in an automobile accident around 3AM this morning. Reports indicate the driver was speeding and lost control of his vehicle while attempting to command a curve on the road. The vehicle ran off an embankment into a canal in Los Ranchitos, Sinaloa.

Reports put Camacho behind the wheel at the time of the accident. In August 2014, the young singer was in another serious accident, in that accident he was driving at a high speed.
Melina Durán,  22 was another of the fatalities. She was a student at the University of Durango in Culiacán, Sinaloa, and a mother of a one year old son.

Julio Valverde, 24, was attended by physicians but succumbed from internal injuries and multiple fractures.  Valverde was one of the closest friends of Camacho, and was studying for a law degree.

Surviving the crash is Shirley Tavizón, 24 of Guamúchil, Sinaloa, and in critical condition is María Guadalupe Félix who is in a coma and sustained fractures including both legs.

The group had attended the last day of la fiesta del Carnaval Mocorito, where Camacho performed his last performance.

Photo below was take at today's funeral.

  2. I think the roads and the drivers are more dangerous in MX than the cartels. Thats why you go to jail if you get into a car accident there.

  3. Most interesting, University of Durango in Culiacan, what the fak, Sinaloa doesn't have their own money to have their own universities in Sinaloa???

    4. Apparently they are only good at building ranchos in the sierras, and growing marihuana and amapola in the drug fields, also at creating cartels enforced by estacas inutiles to corrupt everything else.

    5. Universidad Autonoma de Durango has a campus in several states including Baja California.

    6. Universities, just like businesses, do branch out to other states and even other countries. The fact that Durango University of has a campus in Sinaloa doesn't mean UAS and other fine institutions don't exist.

    7. There is a Tech de Monterrey here in Chihuahua. It is usually only accessible by the more wealthy, or middle class on a budget. Some High School students receive full government scholarship's and others partial scholarship's for this school. For many it is a status thing to send their kids to this school. I have seen many students graduate from the University of Chihuahua on Periferico de la Juventud, that have done just as well after graduating as those from Tech de Monterrey, and at a fraction of the tuition costs.

--Maybe it would be a good idea and plant a franchise of harvard or MIT at the ayotzinapos normal...
--the school of the americas also has a franchise in guatemala, people call it the school of the assassins

  6. My cousins girlfriend was one of the forensic in this case. Ariel was behind the wheel wearing a white long sleeve button shirt. Most of his trauma was in the head and right side of the face. I was told that the front of the shirt was covered in his own blood (it was dripping passed his knees) The girl who died at the sene was the person riding next to Camacho. Two people were ejected of out the car. Camacho had his seat belt wrapped around the waist. It is still unknown but what I was told was that his death occurred not because of head injury but possibly due to the amount of blood he swallowed.

Someone is hiding something because in Mexico from I know they show every thing so if he was the driver why not say it so far I've read they can't tell who was the driver. I've read a lot but it just doesn't add up?????

  14. "earlier was in another accident, driving at high speed". Speed of the car was probably not the only thing "high" in either of these cases. Whether it be due to drugs, alcohol or just plain machismo, either way he gets the Darwin Award! And well deserved IMHO, didn't learn from the first close call.

  15. Driving at high speed on a dirt road in the early hours, sounds like a recipe for disaster. Shithead pushed his luck and lost. I guess he didn't learn his lesson the fist time he was involved in an accident.
