Chapo Guzman sends extravagant floral arrangement to funeral of 'El Barbarino'

After a 48 hour vigil El Barbarino, the famous sicario and compadre of Chapo was buried at an undisclosed place south of Culiacán

Francisco Aceves was quietly buried yesterday in one of the cemeteries in the town of Culiacán, Sinaloa

At the stroke of noon, the body was transferred  from the funeral home where a vigil was held for 48 hours, without revealing where the burial would be held; in fact, this data was not disclosed on the public announcement board at the funeral home.

The exit

The man, who was gunned down while leaving a restaurant on Monday, traveled his last journey through the streets of the city of Culiacan.

Initially, the funeral procession left the funeral home located at the Emiliano Zapata Boulevard and headed towards the south part of the city by  avenida Álvaro Obregón.

It was believed that because he was  a religious devotee of la Guadalupana [Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe], surely his family would have wanted  a mass at the Temple of the Virgin of Tepeyac, however, the procession did not go to the temple of La Lomita.

In the end,  it was decided that  Francisco Aceves would continue the journey to the south of the city.   Later, it was only mentioned that  the man known as El Barbarino, would have been taken to a ranch, where  he would be buried, however, the exact location was not made public.

The funeral and the crowns

Francisco Aceves, "El Barbarino", was given a sendoff lasting a little more than 48 hours. The ceremony was performed peacefully; visitors remained silent in full respect to the family.

Highlighted on display were two massive arrangements with fresh roses.

                                                                             "Nephews"

One of these had a ribbon with the greeting: "From your nephews Ivan and Alfredo G", (Sons of Chapo) while the other, a little larger, also bore a ribbon with the salutation:
"From your friend and compadre JGL".  (Joaquín Guzmán Loera)
Both arrangements were placed at the entrance of the ‘Ardiente Chapel”.  In consulting with vendors of such arrangements, whose establishments are found in the area, it was discovered the arrangements similar to these, have a price tag of 25 thousand to 30 thousand pesos each ($1,700-$2,000 USD).

  1. Starting to look like either Mayo ordered the hit or as the saying goes once you're in, you're in for life and Barbarino wasn't showing his face at meetings or anything. Considering no one else was shot that was with him, this was a cleaning house hit.

    1. I think you just watch too many movies and you are living in movie land because if you had any experience of how malandrinos live you would know that this was a personal revenge hit. Sooner rather than later all these narco-corridos "heroes" encounter a relative or an associate of someone they had murder and they get killed . Simple as that. Stop hallucinating and glorifying this kind of life. Make your own history.

And caf doesn't like zetas so blo can't do shit without the zetas and that's been proven.

  4. The way things are now-a-days with all these factions who knows who didnt n why? Could of been revenge from a deceased family member that Barbarino took out, or could be Mayo Zambada, or 1 of these factions. We will never know. One thing we do know who ever put that hit on Barbarino made a name for himself n he better take care if Chapo n Chapo sons really had love/loyalty for Barbarino.

  9. How close was he to Chapo? Would he have been able to meet him when he wanted to like people in general do with their friends or was he merely a business partner and the message a formality?

  13. Chapo had him killed and arranged those flowers long ago. Or he don't have too much problems with comminicating from "supermax". 50-50

  14. It was no inside hit. This man was a cousin of Chapo and was active in the buissness. His son Javier is very close with Ivan. If anything it was over revenge or a rival. It is also well known that there is certain Beltran operatives that operate in and around Culiacan.

    1. Times are changing and Chapo don't have a say so any more. That's why his boy was killed and there ain't a damn thing Chapo can do about it but weep. He might as well enjoy his retirement while he can. Out with the old and in with the new.

  20. El Debate said that this dude was stealing gasoline and extorting local business. He probably asked the wrong business owner for money. The plaza bosses get the cuata ,not a old sicario!!! He trully got off easy- they should have kidnapped him and slowly tortured him- They should now kill his whole extened family-they reaped from people's misery.

  21. Why would the sons of el chapo get into the life of a drug trafficker?
--they don't need any of the traumas and consequences, rafael caro quintero's son is a businessman and showhorse competitor, and nobody bothers him or daddy's billions and billions of dollars, not even the CIA, DEA, FBI, ICE, NSA, DFS, PGR, PFP, PJF or los transitos, car washers do it for free, even parking attendants say viene, viene for free!!!
--unless politicians at the top will not have any of that and are forcing fighting among the carteleros, another sign of mexico's being governed by a murdering and greedy narco-mierdocracia...

    1. Nope, Rafael son is on the kingpin list. He is in the business of drugs...

  22. Why are we still hearing about this idiot? I thought he was starving himself to death in protest. Whatever! If he was in the US he would not have these little perks to send flowers and things. He probably wouldn't even know his pal was killed. What is wrong with Mexico? First they act as if they are fighting the drug gangs, then treat them like royalty while in jail. All the efforts of the deceased who truly tried to make a difference, was nothing more than a waste of time. This man shouldn't even have access to money, being it is a fact it is blood money.

    1. You obviously don't know the power prison gangs have on the streets, just in the US. They can send from flowers to murderers anywhere on the planet. Placing them in prison stops nothing, it simply justifies the billions spent on the drug war. If anything it has a hydra effect by multiplying the cartels. It leaves murderers where business minded individuals once reigned. It's only natural that killers move up in ranks, and its natural that they carry out their business as they only way they know how to manage. When the only tool you have is s hammer you tend to see every problem as a nail.
