The "School" of El Metro 3, Where are They Now?

On August 6, 2012, banners were placed in Reynosa to honor the birthday of Samuel "Metro 3" Flores Borrego, who was killed on September 2, 2011. Also known as "M3", he was the leader of the Los Metros faction of the Gulf Cartel. The text of the banner, in somewhat rambling language, listed his virtues as a friend and leader, as well as the lessons he taught his "school". At the bottom of the banner was a list of twenty-two aliases, the signers of the message, who apparently are members of the aforementioned "school" of "El Metro 3".

A few weeks ago, my esteemed colleague on the forum, El Plata, made reference to the banner, which would lead to a conversation pointing out that so many of the old members of Los Metros were no longer around. Taking inspiration from that conversation, I decided to take a closer look at the individuals listed on the banner and see what their statuses are two years later. Please keep in mind this information is not definitive, but, rather, to the best of my knowledge.

    1. You do realize the article is referencing the names on the manta, not just any high ranking CDG member. This manta is from Los Metros faction, so you definently aren't going to see Reyes bc he was a bitter enemy of the M's as the founding member of Los Rojos. Hell, R-1 was in on the murder of M3. All the Cardenas Gullien's were either dead or locked up when this manta came out. Los C.G. familia were all Ciclones anyway. This manta was during X-20/Pelon's reign when he put the cartel through a internal cleanse. He took out anyone he was intimidated by including El Gringo, Guerra, and Puma which was stupid bc Gringo was the biggest pusher in the entire CDG. X-20 and M-4 took out any member linked to Chapo and CDS.

I agree with you. I've stated before that El Gringo was the one making all that money for CDG. When the Zetas first came around he was a Zeta under Hummer. El lazcano liked Gringo very much because how he took care of business and made money for La Compania. When the Zetas split from the Golfos comandante Gringo stayed with the Golfos under M3. Word around Tamaulipas and So. Texas always was that El Gringo was bigger than what he wanted people to know. I've heard this guy would cross shits load of weed and coke. People from Roma to McAllen all said that 80% of the drugs being crossed into the U.S. was El Gringos. This guy supposedly had major contacts. Mario Pelon envied him so much that he turned on him. There was also rumors that he worked heavy with one of chapos nephews. He was the that was trying to stabilize the Gulf Cartel. At the end nobody could stand that a poor Mexican-American from the U.S. was running the show and all those other so called comandantes could not even come close to him in money or respect. That's why the Gulf Cartel is such a mess right now, everyone wants the top spot because they are not making enough money for the #2 or #3 guys. There ain't enough to go around cause they ain't pushing the weight that they should be.

    1. Yes, but he bought his way out. As a matter of fact, so did his non relevant cousin Cherry's Leal. Here is a little tip, when a boss is captured and no pictures of him are released there's a pretty good chance they have a deal in place to buy their way out! Corruption at its finest!

      Delete
    2. Yes he was captured but he simply bought his way out when the attention on him died out. His sapo cousin Cherry's Leal did the same thing. This is nothing new in Tamaulipas. Tormenta pulled the same stunt, but he ended up getting his son killed in the process. It's not just the CDG either El Coyote from Los Zetas bought his way out of jail last year. At the beginning of July Cabeza de Marrano was captured and guess what...he's back on the streets of Cd. Victoria. Here's a little tip, when a boss is arrested and no picture is released of him, or the story seems to go away really fast there's a good chance there is a deal in place and the narco is buying his freedom.

  14. From what I know Comandante Polimenso (Metro 60) is the current leader of Los Metros along with Gafe. Polimenso has been with the CDG for a long time. Polimenso worked for El Metro 3 and was in charge of executing the Zetas along with Juanito Carrizales Comandante 98 when the Golfos versus Zetas war started. Polimenso controls Frontera Chica and along with Gafe both control the City of Reynosa. I am really surprised that Polimenso has not been able to control Los Metros, but if anybody remembers what Miguel Trevino Z40 said in his famous narcomanta that after the death of Metro 3 there is no true leader because there are only second, and third level leaders and everyone will want the power. Chiricuas (Metro 85) is missing from the list he was the right hand for Metro 3 back when Metro 3 controlled the Miguel Aleman plaza. Chiricuas currently controls the central section of Reynosa. El Negrito is the brother of Metro 3 but I did not know that Metro 7 Poncho Flores Borrego is the brother of Metro 3. Tachas controls the Las cumbres one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Reynosa. Flander from what I know was killed (cooked in acid) by Panochitas. By the way does anybody know what happen to Juanito Carrizales El 98? Carrizales tried to take over Nuevo Laredo 2012.

    2. Flander was just killed in a shootout a few weeks ago. A lot of people claim he was cooked in acid during the X20 vs Gringo feud, but those were just rumors. Gafe was #2 in Reynosa under Paquito M77. When Juan Perros ran him out of town, Perros took over Reynosa. When Perros was captured Gafe took over. Perros gave up the location of Mellado and Simple. Simple bought his way out of jail.

I cant rememeber which Carrizales it was,,nah it was El Tubi Carrizales who got stabbed up with big holes in his belly as soon as he got to the Zeta ran jug so that aint gonna help.Man the shanks they used on him, sweet

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Z40 ordered the killing of Tubi inside the prison. He was still handcuffs and had just arrived at the prison. It was an inside job. He was put in a cell with his killers on orders from Z40. Tubi was part of CDS attempted takeover of Nuevo Laredo. Los Z was still the armed wing of the CDG. Los Zetas fought off CDS. Z40 killed him for being part of CDS but also to get back at his cousin El 98. Los Zetas had just broken away from the CDG and Juanito Carrizales El 98 decided to stay with the CDG instead of the Z. So 40 got double revenge.

  23. Yup, No doubt about it "El Gringo" had his plaza and half his buddies plaza's sown up because he knew who to pay off on both sides of the border! That being the case he got filthy rich and obviously; there's going to be jealousy
since the guys above him wanted what he had. When the Golfo's split up from the Z's it was supposedly because they wouldn't give up Metro 3 to the Z's for taking out a friend of Trevino's that Metro 3 murdered and thus started
the internal conflict but I'm sure there was a lot more to it than a dead Z !
