Updates from Tijuana

Updates from Tijuana

There has been no violent, cinematic aftermath in the wake of the arrest of El Inge, the fallen heir to the Arellano Felix name.  Fernando Sanchez Arellano went quietly into the night, headed for Mexico City, confirming to authorities it was Chino Antrax who killed his uncle, Francisco Rafael Arellano Felix, and refusing to cooperate further.

The plaza of Tijuana has no true owner, loose groups and cells continue to push north, control, and spill blood for  the retail drug sale zones in the city, from Zona Norte, to Rosarito.  Names float through the pages of Zeta, corridos  played on both sides of the border, and in posters hanging in the border crossings.  Sinaloa this, CAF that, Los Cabelleros Templarios, CJNG, those
who operate independently, no one knows anymore.

The bodies pile up, in the streets of Eastern Tijuana, back alleys of Rosarito, Zona Norte, Zone Centro. Duct taped hands, wrapped in twine, sheets, blankets, blindfolds, signs of torture, bullets to the head, narco messages quickly scrawled on paper cheaper then the lives of the bodies they are pinned too. Variants on a theme of death, vengeance, business, and power.  People are taken from nightclubs, shot up in restaurants, and it call continues.  The stories make the paper, or the chismes whispered in Tijuana, and shouted in San Diego.

Plaza bosses get executed for not leaving the city in a timely fashion, Inge goes down, La Rana comes back, no one knows anything.  Three men are found executed in a van, left running.  No one knows, but everybody does.

The brothers of El Mono, Roberto Toscano Carlos Rodriguez, and Antonio Rodriguez, El Shrek and El Twi are arrested with guns and drugs.  El Mono is Luis Manuel Toscano, CAF's longtime strong hand in the Zona Norte, who has survived assassination attempts, and multiple arrests.  The drugs are sold as usual in bars like Hong Kong, where the sex trade thrives, and in nameless, faceless tienditas lining the streets, vendors old and young sell their wares, tiendero's sell theirs.

An alleged high ranking Caballeros Templarios leader is arrested in Playas de Tijuana, amidst reports of  masked gunmen checking cars as they entered the area.  Juan Carlos Alamaza Mendoza 'El Pillo', on the run from Michoacan, was hiding as a contractor, since late last year.  Allegedly he was planning to organize a cell in the city, his time in the city was financed by CT upper management.   Two months or so back, a man was found murdered with a note mocking the Michocanos who don't pay their piso.

El Wacho and El Tavo are arrested in a Taxi Libre, carrying 10 wraps of heroin and a revolver, allegedly en route to kill El Danny, on the orders of La Rana.  The names are almost irrelevant, the drug addled pistoleros do not know why they kill, or whom they kill for, only who to kill.

A large picture is not usually realized by those who kill and die in the war for Tijuana's retailed rug trade.  It is barely realized by us.  We can compile the names of the killed, or the killers, the make and model of the car, carefully count the amount of drugs and the way they are packaged, the markings on the kilos, the wraps on the bales, it's only tenuously real to us.  Only real to the ones whose husbands don't come home, or whose children are killed, brothers and sisters separated, high caliber weapon shells and toast of blood and whiskey, welcome to Tijuana.

  6. El Aquiles and La Rana... Both have a strong "say" as to what is on going now in TJ. Do you think that the tunnels and other methods of transportation were given up by El Inge?... "Not"... He did confirm what people have been talking about in regards to who killed his uncle... Chino was seen before the shooting in the area, eyes and ears are every where... Blurring out every photo of Chino online, only placed a Bigger $ on his head... Eventually, someone talks... Chino must be really worried since he is surrounded by gang members who are loyal to his enemies in DAGO - Aka- San Diego,Ca... Good work Reporter J...

  8. I think Tijuana/rosarito is a different beast. the large amount of American tourists everywhere looking for fun, legal and illegal must be taken into account on how crazy the violence can get. albeit, it was about 10 years ago when it got crazy and tourists stayed home. except for the dam surfers who are always down there no matter what!

  11. This is just too weird. No one knows nothing and if they do, they don't say anything down in TJ. Who knows who is running the show out in Tijuana right now. From what I know, only CDS, CAF, CJNG, CT and possibly H3 from Michoacan are the only ones who traffic drugs up north, through TJ. I am also almost sure that CDS are still the ones pushing the majority of weight up north through TJ, even after all the recent hits they have taken. When it comes to the local retail drug trade in Tijuana. Usually the cells loyal to CDS are on the east near Otay and the cells loyal to Inge are on the west part of the city near San Ysidro and in Rosarito. My guess is that there is some type of pact or agreement between the cartels in this city right and this is why not so much blood has spilled, like expected. I wouldn't be surprised if everybody moving weight up north, including CDS and cells involved in local retail are paying plaza to CAF. Everyone except for El Aquiles and La Rana's people who are still CDS, but seem to be semi-independent and Atlante's people, who I been told are independent now and going at it with both CDS and CAF cells.

  14. So did Chino send the clown or he was the clown that killed Francisco Rafael Arrellano Felix? I doubt seriously that Chino would have the balls to do it himself. He is too vain and thinks too fondly of his self to walk into the enemies terroritory and kill an Arrellano Felix.

  18. But in other words I read the other day chivis u commented that you were indeed no journalist "blogs now days who isn't hell every one in the comment's wants to out do you" but a humanitarian and I was wowed by that because yes it is more relevant to talk about t.j or sinaloa c.t but have you seen what's been going on in Guerrero that's sick I mean the most recognition they got was when Harry I want to say? Well his body being found in a ditch with other dead body's but yet only he gets mentioned most the c.t or people ran out of michiocan just went south and what's south of that Guerrero I mean so many killings just this year there but yet it's never mentioned? Just a thought or I guess just would like to see your personal thoughts on that I guess .

  19. As for t.j it's ran by aquiles and la rana maybe a couple a.f running around but aquiles playing it smart he's his own he doesn't take sides works with cds el h and some Leyva is what's being said.

  21. They don't pick sides...Hmm, so they can just relax in Sinaloa and have Gerardo Ortiz sing for them at a "Private" party...LOL...Ok...
From corriendosangre.com and also an image...

  23. Good stuff J. I have always respected your TJ work and it is the closest I have seen to telling current story and time lines. These two cartels have been at it since Palma received his wife's head killed by the Colombian aligned with TJ if I remember right. Next, the Colombian's wife and children were kidnapped and dropped off a bridge. Chapo was scared shitless of Ramon and who wouldn't be. He was the original super psycho and they sent the Cal street gang to hit Chapo. Later he went himself which was a bad idea. Ramon had balls but he did way to much coke. Edina has always had a low key leadership role always explained as the handler of finances with CAF, but I have always suspected she was the brains. Most of her brothers weren't that bright but she is. And Inge was too. They didn't ever seem to protect themselves well and seemed to be in the wrong places too much. TJ is huge and when there is hemorrhaging, it would be difficult to stop the bleed for total control. As I always said about Juarez, blood runs deep in those cities for home cartels and it isn't about one family and when they are gone it is over. If you really want to know who is running TJ, ask the state governor, because they are his closest associates. And if you want to know who handles the local sales, ask the local police, they deliver and protect. There is a 1,000 mansions on both sides of the border owned by CAF partners. They aren't running scared. If they are down, it will only be a matter of time before they aren't. CDJ proved that "in spades." It is about generations of many many families of organized crime. TRC

    1. Real talk. The same is going down in Juarez and the whole state of chihuahua. La Linea is settling scores and taking people out who changed sides during the war with CDS. It's low key but it's happening. Not the blood bath it once was but the cleansing is almost done. I have been saying it for two years that things were going to change at the top and now that it's happening everyone is all surprised. Puro Chihuahua y Oeste Tejas.
