Teens Killed After Bullying Nephew of Nacho Coronel

BorderlandBeat.com
Initially the teens were reported killed after meeting cartel members about working in the organization.  As it turns out that was only part of the story. Andrés is on left in the photo above.

Two teenagers of 15 years of age were murdered after making fun of the son of a drug trafficker capo.

The General Attorney of the State, Luis Carlos Nájera, indicated yesterday that was the  version was given by a 17 year old teenager that was arrested, off record  he was identified as Isaac, who is implicated in  the disappearance of the minors, which happened two weeks ago.

On June 21st, the teenagers, Luis Antonio Ortiz and Andrés Barba, had arranged to meet at a mall.  As a lure they were invited to a party via facebook.  From there, they were taken to a forest, where they were suffocated, according to the Attorney.

“The teen which we have arrested tells us that the two teenagers mistreated and bullied the son of José Ángel Carrasco Coronel, known as “El Changel”, who had been previously arrested in Mexico City. They were classmates of this young man”, explains Nájera.

“El Changel” (below) is nephew of Ignacio “Nacho” Coronel, chief of drug trafficking that was killed on July of 2010 in Zapopan.

State and federal sources revealed that after the death of the capo, Carrasco Coronel controlled the criminal group “La Corona”, formed with loyal people of “Nacho” Coronel. “El Changel” was arrested in January of 2013.

The Attorney of Jalisco indicated that, according to the investigations, the lured the  minors to a Zapopan  mall with the promise of working  in a criminal organization, which they would be paid between 10 and 20 thousand pesos, and other benefits such as parties where they would have their choice of women. (in orange and blue below)

UPDATE:
There are a couple of unofficial reports that go something like this:

Luis, Andres and the son of Changel all go to the private school "Rudyard Kipling", Changel's son is in his first year the two other boys are seniors. All three boys are in the same group of friends, however, for whatever reason the two older boys, conducted  an ongoing attack of mocking and bullying the younger child.

Possibly fed up with the personal attacks, Changel's son called on his friend who did not attend the school for revenge.  His name is Vegas Andres Tovar, (in photo above) nickname "Vega".

Authorities refer to him as a "Nini" meaning he neither attends school nor works.  His neighbors describe him as a boy who is "polite, quiet and reserved", who they see each day walking his dog.

Vega created a ruse on facebook contacting the boys and inviting them to a party.  He used the alias "Raul Barajas".  There are two versions but at least one of the boys, Luis, replied.  The invitation in part read "Friday a party where there will be models and  hostesses, you can choose who you like".

Taking the bait the high school students met "Raul" and Isaac at the mall, sealing their fate.

The 2nd boy, who was with Vega is named "Isaac" he has been arrested. It is not known if the son of Chanel has been arrested or even his name.

I'm not picking sides or saying that this was ok , but you never never ever pick on a narcos kid or flirt with their woman , this isn't the first time its happened there are many cases like this , those kids should have used their common sense.

  12. I'm not a fan of bullies but WTF!!!?

I do not understand, poverty or no poverty, how one country can harbour so many psychopaths and sociopaths.

At what point does the political class, the class that ultimately is responsible for all of this, as they've had a 30 yr headsup that this country is going to shit.

At what point do these people grow a pair, provide education for all, opportunity for all, provide financial aid to their poor so that narco NEVER need be an option, even if it costs the state billions, and give people an alternative to a life of crime.

Some of the crimes I have read about and witnessed on this site are the most heinous of crimes ever imaginable, yet NOTHING seems to be done about it!?

It is incredibly disturbing!! U can slaughter mayor's, police, children 20 at a time, the elderly and yet NOTHING changes?? I find borderlandbeat fascinating yet confusing.

Mexico, or any Central American country for that matter is not so poor, has seen enough blood spilt that enough was enough long ago.

The continous head in the sand, regardless of how outrageous the crime is just paralyzing. Who will do something!!!!?

  13. This article forgets to mention the fact that Andres Barba never bullied and was not the one being "lured" by the drug dealers. Andres was innocent and was killed because he went with his friend to the mall that day. His friend asked him to accompany him.

  14. Wow abahahba alot of butthurt pansies here that got bullied haahah but really tho i don't care what these pricks did. No 15 yr old deserves to die like that. I don't care what they said. 17. I can't say I was ever bullied as kid, however I grew up in a dysfunctional family. I'am Mexican but for a while in elementary I would be called jap because of my slightly chino eyes. That didn't last to long. Right before I got out of high sch. I started weight training and bulked up. Just put it this way-I don't get messed with much. I think the Coronel family and this kid took it to far. I think there might be more to this story than meets the eye. They might have been kids of rivals or a antagonistic faction. These cartel basterds have shown that if you cross them, age won't hold them back from seeking reprisals. God bless these kids and other innocents victims of cartel violence. May their parents find peace.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Fuck these kids truth is when some one gets bullied it breaks them mentally sort of how you break in an animal basically the animal or in this case the kid being bullied is being broken down mentally and in a lot of cases you can have suicide or a self esteem issue that can lead to such devastating results like for example mass shootings like Columbine shooting or even some thing as petty as domestic violence. Maybe these kids did not want to kill the other kid but unknowingly they were hurting him in a way that is some times just as bad.

  21. I film I HIGHLY recommend viewing is
    "Bully"

My granddaughter told me today her middle school saw it and had a parents night to also view the film. I admit to tears following down my face often when I watched the film(documentary)

As for Andrés being innocent. I did not write the article but I did see that he may have been innocent of not really knowing what he was getting into at the mall.

That said, I have not heard he did not bully the nephew.

Bullying is deadly and can leave scars for life. kids can be brutal, and others fearful of challenging bullies. One reader said it the parents fault, and too a huge degree I agree with that. Many parents don't care unless it is their kids being bullied. Anti Bullying education begins early and at home. Be proactive.

Inclusion must be taught to kids. I always had specific plans of inclusion for my children to follow as well as my grandkids.

Thank you to the readers sharing your stories including the 3 that asked for there comment not to be posted they just wanted to share with me. 2 said they did not want to subject themselves to some of the readers that may debase them with snide remarks.

And a couple of those snide remarks came in and guess what, I send you to hell with the pressing of my delete button. Bullying does not dissipate with age it appears.

I don't know the extent of the bullying in this circumstance. I would love to know, I cannot believe it was light teasing, the kid must have been affected. I am not saying they deserved a death sentence, but sometimes when I see how it has deeply affected those bullied, compassion for the bullies is slow in coming, I want them to pay for their acts but never in this way.

  27. I have a 3yr old daughter overcoming minor disabilities we live in Canada 1/2 time & in Mexico 1/2 time she is 1/2 Mexican. The boys next door in Canada that are nearing teen age make fun of her because she is just learning to speak & makes some noises that are different. She looks normal tho' & she has feelings & understands what they are doing to her. I find there are more bullies in Canada than in Mexico. When we are in Mexico we have many family friends who love my daughter & treat her like their own & many of these are well adjusted teens with reasonable goals in life that we have known since they were young kids. My husband is Mexican & grew up in the US from age 6 in California he got bugged a lot in the 80s when he was a kid he said they called him Beaner and other things so he joined a gang as a teen. He's nearly 40 & not at all involved with crime & is compassionate & a mentor to young people when he can be. He lives in Mexico full time after being deported from California for illegal entry many years ago & we join him every 6months in our house in Mexico. His perspective is that there is a need among some youth in Mexico to have things the easy way & not want to work for it....promises of money & girls & cars and guns....IS it parenting that makes these teens like this? It shouldn't matter who your parents or uncles are in society...

I asked what she wish of her tormentors and she reply she just want them not be cruel, if they could not be her friend. killing bullies not correct, parents teaching inclusion and compassion is most important. I agree to this completely. did not know about your grandson thank you for share with grieving mother.

  32. There are many orgs fighting against bullies. A friend of mine is the founder of one. Her son committed suicide and I met her through another lifelong friend who began the suicide hotline in my home state.

Her Anit-Bully foundation, takes age appropriate packets of materials to schools and well known speakers such as athletes, speak against bullying. Movies are shown as well. She says both the student and parents must be educated so the discussion will be on the homes table. My friend does not charge a fee to bring her program to schools.

Just google "top Bullying organization in _______" and fill in your state or city. Also share the movie I recommended "Bully"...Paz, Chivis

  36. You are wrong Chivis, Bullying is wrong but we will never know if they are actually bullying this Coronel kid, but killing 15 years old kids is way worst than the actual "bullying" if it really happened.

Maybe those kids were in the wrong path, but for God's sake, killing them was not the answer. I wrote a comment in spanish that you never published and probably is one of the ones sent to "hell" by you, where I mentioned that poor little coronel kid went running to papi for help instead of resolving it himself.

I remember when my dad would whip my ass if he knew I was getting bullied and found out I had not done anything about it. and after whipping my ass, he would sent me back to kick the other kid's ass so he wouldn't bully me anymore.

I am not the only mod, I am the only mod that interacts with readers. That said it is not the content that keeps the comment off but how it is said. For example using the 3 and 6 letter "F" word, or something like that.

I have a question for YOU. Why would you write in Spanish if you are capable of writing in English, this is an English blog those that can write English should, most of our readers are English speakers.

And lastly, I never said I knew the extent of the bullying I in fact said I would love to know. I mean was it making fun of a bad hair cut? Or a relentless teasing of a special need or disability, or being gay? We don't know anything about it.

It is obvious that you are ignorant of the issue of bullying, this I can tell by your dismissive attitude that for some kids it is so severe they determine ending their life is the best alternative.

I do not support the death sentence on these teens. That is not the answer. I have given suggestions on how to learn about bullying. And your ridiculous notion that going to parents is bad...however many kids do not, they take their own lives or walk into school with an AK47 and began shooting.

Your father's method of coping with bullying is why you have the attitude you do, his way results in an ineffective solution to the issue. I think you confuse teasing, or disagreement between kids as bullying. That is far from what we are speaking of. But I know you will never research the subject.

  47. @ Everyone.

I did not post a rant against "whites", I posted a rant against the person that claimed if we were in LatAm we should be ashamed. Yes, I am from LatAm, born and raised. Hell NO!!! I am not ashamed. I lived through coups and REAL Dictators ... I'm not some 3rd gen "American" of LatAm heritaige whose only perception of LatAm is based on their US thinking, US news, or the stories of Great-grandma in the "old" country.

Now, if one objectively looks at LatAm, it is historically obvious who has been in charge and who has exacted such disparities due to cultural "norms" of the past. And yes, it was for the benefit of Euros and others abroad, & not just in the US mind you.

It is historically obvious which countries & cultures consume every damn thing on the planet in excess, like locusts. Those who want to suck up everything yet refuse to legalize plants ... those who demonize poor farmers, the Indigenous, blacks, Chinese, etc.

And no, I am in no way shape or form condoning the disgusting behavior of narcos nor giving them an excuse for choosing to act like fvcking animals. Lower than gnat shit. And NO, I do not blame the US for LatAm's Dictators because those fvcks CHOSE to screw their own people for money. THEY chose to; they could have said, hell no.

Also it is a huge fallacy to state the larger percentage of Indigenous were killed by diseases; more died being forced to work in the silver mines of Peru/Brasil as slaves, than from disease. When the Indigenous started dying in large number due to slavery & disease, that is when Africans were sold and brought over to do the work.

Anyhow, Euro history isn't solely against non-Euros. There is an unhappy history of varying Euros greed and murder toward other Euros. Power crazies and such. Euros came to "the New World" because they too were sick and tired of the Europe of the past ... where there was only rich & poor and no one in the latter class could ever make their lives better, denied education and the like. Wars between the French, British,Welsh, Scots, and Prussians (Germans) for hundreds of years. Wars spurred on by the greedy corrupt Hapsburg Popes of the RCC, etc.

"Western" culture is a culture based on the acquisition of money and "things" and absolutely nothing else. And yes, LatAm, is the result of spurious Western culture to this day. (sorta medieval western culture) Whether some here may like that fact or not.

Take my comments as you wish. I am speaking objectively ... not one-sided.

  52. We have a wanna be cartel up here in north carolina who have using lasers and other equipment bullied and assaulted everyone to move out of the cheapest apartments. they are related to a group of blacks who want to take over the world using everyone possible but more or less appear like sex offenders - trying to stick lasers up everyones butts. el grande and la barbie are just casualties of a group of mexicans who decided to let everyone organize and take what they wanted and then put them in prison. this group of blacks are the same they expect everyone to leave for property that isn't even theirs and between all of them, i guess it will end up like brazil's referee and people will start cutting their heads off to get them to stop.

everyone is tired of these bullies and assaults. this is not about drug trafficking anymore. it is about major psychiatric issues and there are a ton of them running around in greensboro north carolina and misty creek apartments.

a woman got a tattoo and didn't tell anyone and their assault group is like well "we don't like that tattoo" and texts people about it to do things to it. You know how they know - illegal and pedophile style surveillance.

Send the brazilians to greensboro please - we have a few more bullies that need their heads removed.
