Narco Banners Flood Coahuila and Veracruz

By Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat

Acuna Mantas
For the past week, narco banners have flooded Coahuila and parts of Veracruz.  The first reports of mantas  were in Piedras Negras, Coahuila where they were displayed in several parts of the city which sits adjacent to Eagle Pass, Texas.
Subsequently, reports of mantas bearing the identical message were revealed in the following Coahuila:
Acuna, Monclova, Sabinas, Rosita, Saltillo, Torreon and parts of Veracruz.
Saltillo, Coahuila's capital city

Marines of mexico how is it possible that if you are fighting and spending so much in fighting the drug traffickers and cartels yet you  permit or fail to check the federal police or FPF, to see  if they have in their trucks a sicario.
Here is an example [picture]
We don’t know the unit number in which “el tukan” is in, but he is riding around without a worry. After so many deaths that he has committed.
Where is you obligation as public servants, combatants of delinquency, if you are a delinquent yourself?  Kidnapping  and killing innocent people, while wearing  a [police] badge of the PFP.
Mr Guillermo Sanchez this is “El Tukan” who kidnapped and assassinated your grandson Gerardo Heat Sanchez.
And the Commander Pelos of the PFP, is working with them as godmother here in Piedras Negras. He is in Posada Rosa  He was arrested in saltillo by gunpoint but then he was released.
[note: Posada Rosa is a hotel where federal police are housed and it was attacked a few days prior to these mantas]

Piedras above and Veracruz below
The narco-banner speaks of the nephew of the 1st councilman of Piedras Negras and who is responsible for the murder. The young Gerardito Heath Sanchez was visiting with friends at the home of Victor Cruz when he and the entire Cruz family was kidnapped and never seen again.
In March, 2011 Los Zetas Cartel reigned a week of terror in Piedras Negras and “los cinco manantiales”, the towns of Allende, Morelos, Zaragoza, Villa Union and Nava.  Reports of over 100 people kidnapped of all ages including an infant.  The homes were destroyed by fire, as firefighters were prevented from conducting their duty.
Gerardo Heath Sanchez, then 15 years of age, was a victim of being at the wrong place at a time of horror.  His “crime” was visiting the home of his friends Victor and Guillermo Cruz Saldua and their parents, Victor Cruz Requena and Brenda Saldua Dovalina when sicarios burst into the home. The Cruz family and their guest Gerardo were abducted. The home of the Cruz family was  set ablaze soon after the abduction.
Brenda and Victor Cruz
It was known to local residents that  Victor Cruz, a local businessman, had links to organized crime. It was reported that the Cruz family was killed directly after the kidnapping, although hope remained strong for Gerardo’s family when his mother received a message that he would be released within 72 hours.  72 hours passed with no other communication, he was not released, nor located.

The lone remaining son of Victor Cruz escaped the abduction and sought refuge with his extended family in Eagle Pass.

It was guessed that an  “ajuste de cuentas” - settling of accounts- was ordered by  Zetas.  This included several local businessmen involved in money laundering, used as frontmen  for investments and surreptitious businesses, was ordered by the Zeta leadership.  People under the slightest suspicion of a betrayal such as being informants, were targeted.
These agreements are services by businessmen in return for protection.  The precarious pacts are fragile covenants whereas once made their lives and that of their families are completely reliant on the notions of the cartels, especially the plaza chiefs.  This was the scenario that lead to the fate of Cruz, his family and the visiting teen Gerardo.
After abducting the targeted victims, Zetas destroyed dozens of  homes and businesses owned by the victims, below are photos of some of the destruction.

  2. Holy toasters they jacked up those houses. Thanks for the pictures. It does get confusing not only that killers ride around like psychotic deputies but then the army turns around and steals houses too. I try to keep up but there are too many people bowling with heads. Keep the info flowing, thanks.

    1. Those houses were demolished by a bull dozer after bieng set on fire. There are no burn marks on edge of puncture holes so it wasnt rpg or tank fire. Seems pointless to bulldoze them after the fact the familys were killed and houses burned. Waste of money.

    2. I bet if they started giving cartel members' assets and property directly to poor families in Mexico after they are seized, there would be more headway in this war. They should stop warehousing valuables and instead distribute them to victims and poor people of Mexico.

  12. Wow my apologies to Cristero. I was sent 3 versions by folks wanted to help. I meant to get cristeros but grabbed another instead...and it was very difficult to understand.

This was text taken from the original mantas which the fotos were not showing cocmplete text. No one had the text printed so it was difficult to begin with. I did edited Cristero's just a tiny bit and added punctuation for readablility....its a lot better now..

  14. Chapo only trafficks drugs the main reason he is wanting to take out the zetas beyond eliminating competition is because the zetas kill innocent people, extort and kidnap business owners and threaten children into becoming hitman.

The zetas should be labeled terrorist and the United States marines and special forces should be sent to mexico. U.S. citizens can barely stand traffickers but those that take advantage of innocent people would never get away with it in the U.S.

  16. What y'all don't understand is a lot of these females are killed by males they've turned down. Since she was a mayor she was viewed as a perfect trophy wife by any narco.

  18. I would like to connect to what 5:42 wrote, the U.S. should go in and clean up in Mexico! Right, that's what many think, well the U.S. is in and a part of it! The whole Z thing smells much like trained and equipped as a progressive chaos resource on mexican ground. It's been done before, a bit of research and it get's more obvious.
Loans for weapons, training, not for education or social infrastructure.
There are monitor sites with info's on capital movement's in all area's of the world.
U.S. scary! And that with a Hollywood style International presentation to the rest of the world that it's the # 1 and has everything under control.
    Scary!

  19. Its not that the USA is perfect, and they aren't people capable of committing this type of atrocities. Its the fact that the Laws in this Country are ruthless, toward this type of behavior. Although their is some Government Official, Cops, etc... that corrupted, its not systematic (from top to bottom), like in Mexico.

  21. People please understand that it is very difficult to translate a Narcomanta from Spanish to english, they are always poorly written in spanish and come with many mistakes, and the authors of the narcomantas use a lot of bad words no puncuation and street jargon so a litteral translation to english will cause it to loose the message. We who help BB reporters to translate and BB reporters have to at times use our better judgement and our personal knowledge of spanish to be able to translate to spanish and still be able to bring the authors message across to the english speaking public.
